  3. Massive Update available for X-Plane 9.70 and 10.xx on Robins Nav Data Site. http://data.x-plane.com/get_data.html Robin's been very busy with the new update: http://forums.x-plan...869#entry719051 List of changes: http://data.x-plane.com/log.html I'm off to download my copy of Robin's new data and have a good look! Note: This is an X-Plane Update, not an update for Complex Addon Aircraft FMS's like the CRJ-200 or B-777 Worldliner (They use seperate Navigraph or NavDataPro database's which contains SID/STAR/APPR's ect ect and you will still need that ). cessna729.

  4. It was not included in 10.20rc3 - The only place to get it right now is directly from data.x-plane.com The only way to tell the version is to look at the properties of your existing master apt.dat file. If you have 10.11 or 10.20rc3 (final), you're running on the last update which was issued in July 2012. You can fetch the new one from Robin's site linked above, or wait for the next update from Laminar to ship out, which will likely include this airport data update.

  6. Flying north over Castle Crags, part of the Trinity Mountains. Mt. Shasta, at over 14,000 feet (4,300 meters) dominates the landscape in the distance. The small hill to the left of Mt. Shasta is Black Butte. The small city of Mt. Shasta is just above the Cessna's right wing.

  7. Who would like to see a "lite" version (just an apt.dat) released with perfectly accurate layout but no objects or imagery to slow your computer down, for those of you with computers like mine?

  8. I'd get started on CYVR but I can't download the images from the BC WMS server via Earth.

  10. X-Plane's realism is often reported as being accurate in flight dynamics but poor in world modelling. Therefore, I have created a new addon that will fill all the water and the oceans of the planet with algae and rubbish to make it more like the real world. So far, I have completed the task of filling them with algae blooms that are opaque. Here is one photo for previews, let me know what else I should add to my "polluted world" series. Just kidding - this is what happens when you leave a gritty texture detail on a semitransparent ocean texture. I though I had started my plane in a sewage treatment plant, but upon further inspection, I discovered that it was simply the dredged coral reef surrounding the island.

This scenery (Plus X-Plane 10) use ~500 Mb of VRAM when loaded at "very high" with compression enabled. - You will want to run this scenery at "very high" or "extreme" Texture Resolution. - X-Plane 10.20 64-bit and 1 Gb VRAM Video card is recommended for the Higher Texture resolutions. - Charts for YPAD: http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/aip.asp __________________________________________________________ This scenery is designed to work best with: Vehicle Library Extension (http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/files/file/125-additional-vehicle-library-extension-xp9xp10-isdg/) FlyJSim Asphalt Textures (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=16270) SkyMAXX sky colouring using "Vivid Skies" (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=15821) BeachMAXX Ocean Textures (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=17311) Autogate DGS System (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=5038) Wide Taxiway Markings (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=18490) __________________________________________________________ Still to fix: - Some buildings are still a little too "glow in the dark" at night. These are converts from AussiePak1 which were toned down, but could use some HDR lighting instead of _LIT. __________________________________________________________ License: This scenery is Postcard-Ware.
