I think a good demo, would be to introduce the aircraft, with a nice-serious video. with no special effects ... start-up, handling, advanced features, flight instrument at work etc.. Showing for last the exterior model...we fly inside the aircraft!2 points

Knock it off both of you. Colin, Cameron is a level headed and sincere guy. He does mean well and truly does wish you the best of luck in your project. Don't read into things that aren't there - or hidden meanings. Take it at face value - you'll notice the whole tone of this discussion changes. We can all peacefully coexist in the ecosystem.2 points

Xplane is a virus. You can't get rid of it once it has infected you.2 points

"I won't buy anything with drm" ...vendor... "I won't buy without a demo version." ...there is no winning move.2 points

As a side project next to the Let L-410, I've started a little scenery project. Hint: leechmountain Nevermind the runway and taxiways, i'm at the beginning of work, but I will not give the quality below ORBX (And of course, will be freeware)1 point

Default aircraft? Since I found X-Aviation before XP10 came out, I was not even aware that there were default aircraft in XP10 . Well that's not true, I saw the video of the JRollon's aircraft for XP10. And back to the topic... That's great news, it means that soon the long awaited updates for 64bits compatibility of the products that need them will be available.1 point

^^^ Read this (and follow the links in it as well, especially the FAQ) for how 64bit will affect X-Plane.1 point

Was directed at me. We were at a conference in France. I'd never met the guy, but that was his way of saying "hello."1 point

Here are some much improved pictures of the cockpit (today i learned about 2 little things called cubic interpolation and tangent shading) also i am aware of there being to much rayleigh scattering at this point and here's a picture showing why you don't import from sketchup (look in the background) and it also shows why bump mapping is awesome also the noise on the panel in the backround is fixed by doing an approximate render instead of a raytrace it's something weird that happened during conversion that's actually causing it1 point

Well, like Cameron so eloquently points out, there's good and bad on both sides for sure. I don't like some of the batles over there either. But I don't like some of the immature name-calling and foul language here either. So, I ignore it all and just get on with my hobby. With a dash of common sense and respect, which serves just as well in the real world. Cheers, bc1 point

Sorry, the clouds never move. No third party alternatives either, except to change textures, but addons like REX aren't available yet. IMHO Austin needs to admit the cloud puffs didn't work and p...pppay an expert third party to come up with a better system.1 point

Tenacious Tedious Tracing of Taxiways... but worth it. (Say that 10 times fast). Autogate 1.40 w/Lit Textures - All gates will be Autogate-capable. Already have replaced the "FSX" static displays with Marginal's new fully-functional DGS placards. Yep - they work. Magic HDR Lighting - Thanks to Ropeless for his initial template for how to achieve specific "magic" lighting effects w/custom HDR light defintions. (YTep - those are indeed true 3D spill lights, in addition to the built-in XP10 library lights - The combined effect of lib+custom HDR is spectacular): Can someone change the name of this thread to "CYYZ Toronto Development WIP Shots"? - Ck.1 point
