Cameron Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Captains, As is the usual tradition here, we now have our official preview video ready for you to view. jettojig Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Gorgeous video! Really captures how much a labour of love this aircraft has been. Also, oh my gosh that detail! Couldn't be more excited right now... This is a new chapter for X-Plane. 2
flyin_gnome Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Outstanding work. Looks good, cant wait to take it around the patch.
dgall Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 I was just checking the site to see if the product page was up, then boom... a video. Some more fantastic work from @redpiper1

dr_nerdrage Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) I think I got a little teary-eyed watching that Job well done to redpiper1 as usual. I see the 737 uses soundXtreme, as does my favourite aircraft, the Saab. It does come with one somewhat annoying issue though, and that is lack of sound during replays. Does that mean the 737's sound won't work during replays either or is that just something particular to the Saab? Edited April 21, 2016 by dr_nerdrage typing is hrad
cmbaviator Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Awesome video, I liked it even before watching lol CMB Sent from Tapatalk

dr_nerdrage Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Just now, tkyler said: Um...new to me....and I wrote it! -tkyler Very good! (The Saab doesn't have engine sounds during replays. Unless that's been changed without me noticing and I am somehow making an ass of myself. )
tkyler Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) You know what....I have to confess. I can't remember the version the Saab guys use. I did quite a bit of work on the sound engine for the 737 and may have added in the replay functionality during 737 development...and of course have had zero time to back-port it to the Saab team. ...after 6 years, I can't remember when I did anything...that at my advancing age. -tkyler Edited April 21, 2016 by tkyler 3

ONDR4.cz Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 At 3:00 the altitude is decreasing while the vertical speed shows +100 fpm, how so?
FSSteven Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Man, it feels so holy before starting that play button.

The VVI doesn't animate in replay mode...which when shooting videos is the common way of doing it, so you can focus on those great camera angles!. I couldn't tell you why....but my curiosity will force me to look at it one day. -tkyler Edited April 21, 2016 by tkyler 1

poodster Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Hearing those engines rev up on takeoff in the cockpit view and wing view...music to my ears. Fantastic sounds!
