tkyler Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Textures are "downsampled" based on rendering setting (except cockpit texture, which is always hi rez). So a 512px runway texture gets pretty blurry, but several 2048px aircraft textures will keep the aircraft textures reasonably sharp. Quote
Kaphias Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Or (please correct me if I am incorrect) object textures don't "downsample" at all.Edit: Another trick I used when I was still using my Macbook was to start up in a low texture setting, then turn it all the way up, load a plane, then turn it back down. The plane looked great without hogging the frames that great looking scenery does. Quote

emin0413 Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 You can convert scenery from fs2002, fs2004, and fsx with fs2x-plane. You can find it easily by googling it. Not all sceneries work out, but others are great. Quote

MaidenFan Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 You've got some nice graphics! What OS do you have? Quote
woweezowee Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 I bought me a C152 in FSEconomy. It stood there waiting for me in switerland, and I took it to France, near the Spanish Border (LFCB, Bagneres De Luchon). From there, I took off today to make my way via the Pyrenees and Barcelona to LESB, Son Bonet, Mallorca, where I own a small airport. There I had to go, because until now, this Cessna was eqipped for VFR flight only. No instruments working, no GPS working (FSE takes care of that). As you see, it was night when I arrived in Mallorca. But my mechanic and repair shop were still opened for me. So, I installed expensive GPS and IFR equipment into the 152, slept a few hours in my office and went off in the skies again. Quote
kiofka Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Asked by Rush"You've got some nice graphics! What OS do you have?"Thanks Rush! It's a Cyberpower custom with an Intel duo core 8600 overclocked at 3.33 ghz w/ an Nvidia GTX 260 graphics card. Gamma setting for the shot was at 2.0 . the XP settings are pretty maxed out. She smokes. Chews X-Plane up for breakfast. Just installed the new System 7 OS, sweet. But to me, it all means nothing if your not flying a good aircraft. I really like the stuff from C74.NET.Rock solid performance and beauty. Thanks again Rush.
