BWolf7 Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 We're considering several turboprop options after the Citation, and the 1900D is definitely near the top of the list.Nice looking plane but that nose gear... 1
Ntr09 Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 Just throwin' this out there but if you made a PC-12NG that looks as nice as this Saab, I personally think it'd sell *better* than a B1900D. -NR 1
Gjalp Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 1900D!!!! 1900D!!!! Everyone, say after me.....1900D!!!!!Just a thought mind you..... Slainte, AndyNZCH 1

pryoski Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 Nice looking plane but that nose gear... Lol! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder my friend! 1
79carboy Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 This is truly great, AnOther update! Looks great. Just bought a 2gb graphics laptop specifically so i could have better graphics. And this plane looks like it will run perfectly on that lapop. You guys are truly amazing. Keep up the good work! 1
ss8913 Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 The Embraer-120 would be nice, too. There's already some fairly good [freeware] 1900s for X-Plane, but nobody's made an EMB120 yet that I have seen... Then again, isn't the EMB120 in the same market segment as the Saab 340A?

This looks interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W73SXgR-4c http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=60025 There are several virtual airlines that fly the EMB-120, including Air Northwest. Not sure who the original author is/was.
Goran_M Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 The ERJ 120 is another one near the top of the list and is also being heavily considered. 1

"Fairly good" just doesn't cut it anymore imo, although I concede that for some it's a personal choice. On the higher end, X-Plane is moving into the realm of hi-fidelity systems and graphics ... the days of pandering to those who won't (or can't) upgrade their hardware are dead and buried. A decent bells and whistles flight-sim will require a bit of investment. We all make our own decisions to balance out the ratio between the hardware we're willing to spend on, likewise the software and the effort to maximise life of hardware. 2
ss8913 Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 ERJ-120 or EMB-120? The latter is a turboprop, not a turbofan. Many VAs including mine fly the EMB-120 (www.flywestwind.com) and it's still a fairly popular regional turboprop. As for the days of people who won't or can't upgrade being dead and buried.. I'm not so sure; We still have a LOT of pilots at WestWind who still fly on FS2004/FS9 due to hardware/budget constraints.
Goran_M Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) Oops. I meant EMB 120. (See what happens when working without caffeine?)We're on the fence about it because we can get all the information on it, but a slight downside is that it is quite similar to a Saab 340 with regards to systems. Daac Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 Maybe, there's room for collaboration with Cekko on the EMB-120 and separate development on the B190. Here's hoping that the SF34 is released on 04072013, if not sooner.

Daac Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 Yes, DDMMYYYY. We are discussing the same date....
Ram Cummins Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 I'm kind of new to this forum and this has probably been asked a thousand times but is there a release date for this plane? 1
Goran_M Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 We don't like giving out release dates, purely because there can be many unknown variables. (Fixing 1 thing which can break 5 others)All I can safely say is we are rapidly approaching external testing. 1

Ram Cummins Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) Oh, that makes sense. Thank you and keep worken' hard, you developers seem to be very talented. (in reply to Goran_M) Edited June 29, 2013 by Spirit of Delta
79carboy Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) The plane will be released when the authors/developers are ready Edited June 29, 2013 by 79carboy 1
Hueyman Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 I'm really happy someone as talented as you guys finally decided to make a great turboprop ! And it will run flawlessly on my brand new machine, will really enjoy X-Plane 10 at it's full potential
BWolf7 Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 I hope this one doesn't share the same fate as the 757
JGregory Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 I hope this one doesn't share the same fate as the 757 Since we have not "announced" a day, month, or even a year as to when this will be released, suffering the same fate as the 757 would not be possible. 1
signmanbob Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 The Saab is looking beautiful guys. I'm looking forward to seeing it released. It has been a long road with it, but the wait will be worth it. 1
