  1. Ok, thanks for the Log - nothing unusual to see, except that you love AI aircraft, it seems - that shouldn´t have anything to do with it. The ILS system in the 737-300 is really robust, no fancy FMS work necessary or so. Simply dial in the correct frequency and voila. There are a few things that can throw people off: Make sure that you have "disable tailwind ILS" deselected in the X-Plane preferences Make sure you have not "failed" the receiver or transmitter in X-Plane´s failures Make sure you are in range the GS will be suppressed while you "head away" from the front course as set on the on-side CRS selector (LOC will always show, though) loosing power to the corresponding radio having an ILS frequency selected that is not corresponding to the frequency as maintained in X-Planes earth_nav_dat (often these are different from current day frequencies, as you can NOT update them with Navigraph or Aerosoft data) I will attach two pics of my 737 at 16L in KSEA. Is this the same that you have set up? Oh, and always great to meet someone that started back on the C-64 (Sublogic FS II!!) like I did . Cheers, Jan
  2. The PMC is the "power management computer "of the engines. It is normally always on. It does stuff like keeping the engines at climb power while it climbs automatically and provides overspeed protection and such. If it is faulty the plane CAN be flown with it off (I did that once), but the switch is in the lower nose compartment. We do not model operation without it. Cheers, Jan
  3. I checked the log.txt of all people reporting that a LSK did not work anymore, and they all contained a crash in the underlying code. Thanks for all reports, hopefully Tom can glean something from this! Cheers, Jan
  4. Probably the right pack now running in "turnaround mode" - more realistic. Cheers, Jan
  5. Alright - next time it happens, please secure the Log.txt from X-Plane folder and let us have a look! Thanks, Jan
  6. That is right, I have changed that - so that it stays nice and comfy in the plane... Cheers, Jan
  7. No worries - it was just funny because everyone is always asking for wingflex and you said that you already had it before. Loved that!
  8. You selected the 18.5K derate...
  9. Can you post a Log.txt, please?
  10. It doesn´t? Something must have gone wrong with the update!
  11. Oh, one more thing - when you do a video like that, you can always "push forward really quick" one of your thrust levers while taxiing out to the runway (with everything set for departure). Just a quick jab won´t really accelerate the engines, but the horn would sound right away. Cheers, Jan
  12. Thanks, Manuel! I mentioned this in my "preview video" as well, found in the first post of this thread. Did you watch that, Stratosfeerick? Cheers, Jan
  13. Moin Till, To get rolling you will normally not need to add thrust - that is the way it is in the real aircraft, and also was that way before in our aircraft (depending on slope/weight). The "ballpark pitch+power" values for a 45t aircraft on a 3 degree glideslope at Vref+5 are: Flaps 30: 53%N1 and 3 deg nose up Flaps 40: 63%N1 and 1 deg nose up This is what I get on my computer. Are you using X-Plane 11 and the "experimental flight model ON"? Viele Grüße, Jan
  14. Yep - and us disabling the TOWS is also not a good option: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanair_Flight_5022 But I will check the code again with Tom and put in a little bit of "leeway" for the lever to be at zero. A lot of the controls on a joystick axis will not "jump" to the setting of that control unless it is moved in X-Plane. So it could be that - if you never thouch that knob - the position of the lever remained at "0" for the first takeoff. Only after using this lever during flght, the speedbrake maybe retracted to 0.0001... You can also doublecheck in the "DATA OUT" setting for flight controls in X-Plane to see if your axis is really commanding 0, or only close to it. Cheers, Jan
  15. Guten Tag, I am sad that you are upset! If you want us to help you (or at least find out what is wrong) please follow this protocol: Viele Gruesse, Jan
  16. Hi Seamaster, thanks for letting us know! We will try to replicate this crash - if this happens to you another time, please attach the Log.txt to your post, that makes it easier for us to track this down! Thanks a lot, Jan
  17. Hmm, ok - or maybe you heard another (AI) aircraft taxiing by? The ones with FMOD support can now be heard outside, caught me off guard a few times . Cheers, Jan
  18. Thanks for reporting back, Denn. This may prove very valuable for other people with the same problem (I know there was at least one other customer...) Happy flying, Jan
  19. Ah, thanks for the headsup. I remember we had that problem before. Solution is to make one manually, but it should be in the installer, of course! Then again...maybe including it would overwrite everyone´s stored routes? Cheers, Jan
  20. Not sure what you exactly mean. We have not changed anything with the sounds at all. If I choose "ready to fly" and then choose "cold and dark" I hear exactly nothing at all. Cheers, Jan
  21. Output (DATA OUTPUT option in X-Plane) your thrust and your brake setting to screen (little green numbers). Then show us a screenshot of when you try to taxi out... Jan
  22. Roger, lets get some more input - and I agree, the "totally unobstructed view" is probably not very realistic . Cheers, Jan
  23. Was thinking...did you at some point install or apply a mod/tweak that changed the streetlights? There was a fairly popular mod out that tweaked these artref values to make them more bright or extend the range or such... I believe that this may cause our "lit" textures to become dim. Cheers, Jan
  24. Oh, look at this video I made a while back - engine just spinning with the wind... FanMilling.zip
  25. Hi Dave, Yes, the view is like that from the rear, not dependent on the angle. I ment that we are not going to add angle-dependency in the future. It would not be hard for Tom to make the N1 disk opaque from the back as well. I personally have no preference, I haven´t looked through spinning CFM65s from the rear to really form a solid opinon. The way it is now seems plausible to me, but if we get more feedback on this...sure, we could change it. I will try to get some glimpses through the engines of our A320s when I go back to work, they are not that different. Maybe there is also a youtube video that one can find to prove (or disprove) your point? Cheers, Jan
