  1. Do you have xplane installed inside the "program files" folder on Windows? If yes, the license file won't save correctly. You'll need to move xplane somewhere else. If no, contact xa support..
  2. I can promise you we are not at the beach drinking mojitos and ignoring support needs. Sorry for the delay. I hope they can get to your ticket soon.
  3. If I had a dollar for every "X-Plane rolls left" post I've seen over the years..... I wonder how many of them have been from this exact thing. Thanks for posting your findings. :)
  4. You need to take into account the fact that the os runs its gui on the gpu. You probably had a Web browser open, also using gpu resources. Possibly Spotify, probably gpu again. And then theres memory fragmentation. Turn the texture quality down and you should see improvement. There is also a beta gizmo update brewing that should lead to less dropped frames but it won't fix drasticly overloaded and struggling system resource contention that drags on for multiple seconds.
  5. I can't speak for the team as to whether this will be added but a full list of the switches you need will make it easier and more likely.
  6. Response times may be longer than usual when a new product has just been released. Your patience is appreciated.
  7. Human understandable descriptions and instructions of deeply detailed accurate systems only have so many ways of being explained. Copyright intricacies aside; how long do you all think it would take for a professional technical writer to author such a manual in a clean room state after coming to an understanding of the systems and how much do you think paying them for such a work would've added to the cost of the project and product?
  8. Due to the accuracy, depth and breadth of the systems it is likely impossible to write the manual you want without it being "voluminous" and so close to the manufacturers documents as to border on plagiarism and thus be a copyright infringement. Fair use is unlikely to cover a work that is hundreds to thousands of pages long.
  9. Please check your spam folder. You should receive an automated response with a ticket number. If you have not you can try using the web contact form here: https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/contact_us.php X-Aviation support will need to review your purchase and activation records before any progress can be made.

  11. Please attach Log.txt from inside the xplane folder to your next post.
  12. If you'd bothered to read the Log.txt file attached to the first post you'd see this is false. Also, there are many thousands of users with Gizmo installed at this point, no one else is posting this issue. False or misleading advice spreads quickly and takes more effort to deal with than you appreciate. If you aren't sure, and aren't paid, just don't.
  13. If you have some facts or relevant evidence that lead you to this conclusion, please post it. I would like to see it. If you do not, please avoid jumping to such ignorant conclusions in future.
  14. "It's complicated."
  15. Please post complete Log.txt files with any error reports. Extracts are useful for highlighting but usually leave us wanting more detail.
  16. You probably have x-plane installed inside the program files folder. This stops the license file from being saved correctly. If this is not the problem please attach a copy of Log.txt from inside the xplane folder to your next post.
  17. I'm hoping to have it out by midnight Friday 14th GMT+10. This will give everyone a weekend update and hopefully "peak enjoyment".
  18. Gizmo is an x-plane plugin. Gizmo is installed with the CL650 package. The update will probably be made available as a separate installer or zip file for a week or so while we verify that it fixes or improves these performance issues without creating any further problems.
  19. Fixed the blocking issue with dev branch just now. Need to sleep on it, then review for packaging... Shouldn't be too much longer.
  20. I've run a bunch of A B testing on Gizmo retail vs Gizmo dev branch and it looks like a bunch of this is on me. I'm seeing some pretty abysmal perf numbers out of retail. The good news is I'm seeing some significantly better numbers out of the dev branch... Will push harder to get you all something soon. Turns out Gizmo is not the problem. See last post below.

  22. Grab the demo installer from x-plane.com https://www.x-plane.com/desktop/try-it/
  23. Current Linux market share: 1.27%
  24. This is an activation problem. Do you have multiple screens plugged in to your computer? We've seen reports of the activation window not appearing correctly under this condition. "Actions" greyed out is normal. Have a look at X-Plane Menu / Plugins / Gizmo64 / Windows / X-Aviation Licensing
