  1. There's a plackard below the pressurization panel showing the cabin alt corresponding to the flt. level. But IIRC you only need to set this in manual operation. In AUTO mode you would set it to 200ft below destination field elevation according to my handbook:

    PMDG Announces First X-Plane Project

What makes you think so? They are definitely working on it and publish updated infos and WIP videos from time to time. The last update showing the new cargo version and improvements to the virtual flight engineer was posted one week ago: While I'm sure the DC-6 isn't number 1 on their priority list, it's definitely under constant development and I'm sure it will hit the market.
  3. The decimal point button on the FMC/CDU.
  4. Or I can do a video of a crappy landing, and you just do everything completely different.
  5. I suspect it could be the KSAN scenery if you are using MisterX6's scenery. There have been reports of users getting crashes when using this scenery, often without any hint in the log.txt. I believe that catstrator also mentioned this in his latest stream. if you search the .org, you should be able to find some posts/info about the issue.
  6. So i had some time for a short hop from KSNA to KCRQ today, following the procedures more or less correctly from and to cold & dark. I used a simple route following the TEC route (V25 PACIF V208 OCN) and set up the ILS 24, OCN transition. Luckily, I didn't experience any bug and just had a smooth flight. What I can already say is that I haven't felt the same level of realism and immersion since the Majestic Dash in FSX/P3D. Not even the PMDG NGX can achieve this in my opinion. While it may be the best simulation of an NG that one can have in a home sim, it always felt kind of sterile and too artifical for me. The IXEG does really feel alive. I disconnected the autopilot at 1000ft AGL and it was one of the most realsitic feeling landings I have experienced in any sim. Geiles Teil!
  7. Not that I'm aware of. XPUIPC is far less featured than FSUIPC. It's main purpose is to mimic FSUIPCs offsets so that some addons like VA ACARS software, PlanG etc. can connect to the sim an get the values needed for them to work.
  8. I asked this recently and yes, the latest hotfix will also include all the previous ones.
  9. You guys are the best! Thank you very much!
  10. Don't forget the fantastic KAVX scenery! Although you probably don't want to go there in the 733 I would pick a GA aircraft friom KLAX during a break.
  11. The series consists of 3 videos as so far:
  12. I would compare both settings for some time. More fps doesn't necessarily mean a smoother sim. I am back to 1/2 refresh rate, as it gives the smoothest experience on my system. YMMV.
  13. I think in the NG you can turn off both FD's which resets/cancels the TOGA annunciation. I don't know if this works in the 733, but I'm sure Jan will have the answer. But generally, I wouldn't arm A/T until holding short at the runway; if I'm not planing to do a shortcut takeoff on a taxiway.
  14. Perfect, thanks!
  15. I'm sorry if this was answered before: Will future hotfixes be cumulative (i.e. will new hotfixes contain all the previous ones), or do I need to apply every hotfix in the right order in case I don't want to do a complete reinstall? Just curious about what happens if I miss a hotfix and directly apply the subsequent one.
  16. Please implement EVERYTHING ELSE on the list before even thinking about adding wing flex.
  17. I also want to thank the whole team! Not only for the plane (which is amazing), but also for working hard and being open to all the bug reports! I'm sure the release didn't go 100% as expected/hoped (for the team and for the users), but you guys deal with it professionally and you didn't seem to have lost your humor, which is nice! Keep up the great work, and I'm sure we will have a perfectly running plane in a short period of time.
  18. The price is spot on in my opinion. It can't be lower that that of e.g. a FF 767, but it also shouldn't be much higher when you want to attract people not only to the 733, but also to X-Plane. Will be an instant purchase for me, although I probably won't find the time for a full flight until May or June.
  19. I'm lazy, so I'll just monitor and leave all the hard work durig preflight to the younger FO. He'll also take care of the touchdown. I'll take over wehn things get dirty.
  20. Could have been this post: But google finds some more ressources for 733 FCOMs and other manuals.
  21. Ooooohhhh! I will slowly undre... erm... unzip every bit of this beauty, carefully carry her over to the ... X-Plane folder, setting up every option JUST right and then finally... Start this beast up with engines running on a random runway, ignoring every singe checklist and procedure, even leave the landing lights off and just take her for a ride.
  22. It's not so much the resolution but the brightness of the clouds. In the v1 video they look much brighter than the clouds I usually get with v3, even when flying on top.
  23. While I really appreciate all the improvements you guys put into SMP over the years, and I will keep updating, I have to say I like the look of the clouds in the first video the most. I never used SMP 1, so I can't say if it's just a coincidence or if the clouds did generally had that nice look to them in v1. What I like in paticular is the cloud colour from pure white to grey, while in SMP 3 I mostly get varying shades of grey (no pun intended).
  24. I suppose you are referring to the X-Crafts E175? Their support forum is located under the following link: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/forum/258-erj-175-by-x-crafts/ Anyway, sounds like your take off config is not complete. Normally this comes down to a wrong setting of flaps, slats, trim etc., but I can't check this with the plane ATM.
  25. Global winds aloft with x-plane's real weather is planned for 10.50, at least according to the developer blog.
