  1. @BobGramm @robder There is no official final word as to what's happening on Mac at this time (both in Discord or here) other than it is still being investigated. It's possible Catalina is at play with its new security requirements, but no final word yet.
  2. What you do on your computer is far different than DISTRIBUTION. Glad you're enjoying the update!
  3. What's easy to you is only in your mind. Our system is not coded to distribute separate OS installers. So no, it is not "easily" done. Given the developer of this product utilizes Linux and only codes on it, excluding that segment of the market is not the solution or an option. In the interim we have already submitted the file to Microsoft, and we are monitoring our support channels to explain the situation to anyone that asks.
  4. Would you appreciate that as a Linux user? False positive detections are common in the antivirus industry. They occur when a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus product. You can read more about this in a pretty good article here if you are concerned: https://www.pcworld.com/article/2883692/virustotal-tackles-false-positive-malware-detections-plaguing-antivirus-and-software-vendors.html We aren't responsible for every problem in the world over here. I think it's pretty clear this is squarely in Microsoft's court. The fact Windows Defender flagged an application that does not even run on their platform is grossly miscalculated on their part and is a problem they need to fix. Trying to make it out as us being the bad guys is the wrong way to look at it.
  5. I hope someone in this thread can help you with alternatives. I do not use it so I'm not privy to the options you have.
  6. Do not EVER do this. An installer is packaged per customer with specific information to identify distribution.
  7. You should read posts in the thread.
  8. You are using an outdated installer and that's the cause of the issue. You'll need to re-download and install from the newest one!
  9. Please read the thread. It's already been explained.
  10. Not really that strange when you consider we don't ship Linux installers with other products but this one, and that the Linux installer is what Windows Defender falsely thinks is a virus.
  11. I don't have any assistance I can provide you for Windows Defender. Temporarily disable it or make an exception if you need to for downloading.
  12. I already posted about that above.
  13. You have updated to Catalina since the last time you installed the TBM. You will need to manually delete the TBM that is already installed and also trash the TBM Uninstaller located in X-Plane/X-Aviation
  14. There is definitely no Trojan. The file it is pointing to is the installer for Linux users. Definitely a false positive.
  15. Hello All, This will serve as a formal forum announcement that we have released the version 1.1.10 update for the TBM 900. 16. Sounds like you're running an old installer and need to re-download.
  17. Yes, if you have a program that does historical data like FSGRW then you can do that.
  18. You're showing me a video of a sun with proper reflection that's controlled by X-Plane long before you ever purchased SkyMaxx. As I've already told you, SkyMaxx has it's own sky model. The sun is a part of that SkyMaxx sky model. X-Plane still controls the sun reflection on the surface of the water based on its own sky model and where it thinks it should be. It can be slightly off at times. There's nothing we can do to alter that. @sundog is the only one that can answer this.
  19. It's pretty self explanatory there. Your X-Plane folders do not seem to have write permissions. You can Google 'Change folder permissions windows'. You'll need to alter these folder permissions for installation to be able to write the files to disk.
  20. What's disappointing is that VR users represent 2.06% of the potential market. It would be great if that number were higher.
  21. He's a developer, owns a VR headset, and I can assure you he's not jealous of not using what he has. He's being realistic and going by statistics; and he's right. When it comes to business, emotions must be removed when making decisions that impact your bottom line.
  22. What I stated is accurate. That would be great, but SkyMaxx Pro has been on the market much longer and things are pretty predictable now. I do not think there will be an influx. I don't know if what you're asking from UWXP will work or not. Experiment, I guess!
  23. Plenty of other topics and responses from the developers on this. Please search.
