ATTENTION: To use this aircraft, you must own a X-Aviation product, to get Gizmo plugin. If you don't own one, please don't download this aircraft! P.180 Avanti II for X-Plane 11 - CURRENT VERSION: 2.3.0 (uploaded at: February 25th, 2020) If you want to support P.180 Avanti development, please donate here: PAYPAL v2.3.0 Main Features Compatible only with EXPERIMENTAL FLIGHT MODEL (11.40+), capable of flying up to M.67 at altitude. Terrain Radar operation via PFD/MFD buttons. Tablet for aircraft loading (engines must be off and the aircraft stationary), and access to AVITAB. Librain Support. See Change Log for more! If you don't have Gizmo already installed in your X-Plane copy, there is an version of Gizmo in the folder extra files. Put the Gizmo.plugin folder in you X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins folder. If you already have Gizmo, DO NOT SUBSTITUTE the existing one with this. MIGHT BREAK OTHER GIZMO ADDONS!!! If you find reflections too high, in the extra files folders are textures to change that. Copy the low reflections texture into the objects folder, and replace the existing one! v2.2.0.VR NOW VR COMPATIBLE with the help of SimVRLabs! OFFICIAL SUPPORT: Official Bug tracker: https://bitbucket.org/iliastselios/p180_avanti/issues?status=new&status=open Support Forums: DESCRIPTION: As you might already know this aircraft is based on X-Plane's default P.180 Avanti , originally designed for X-Plane 8, was included in X-Plane 9, and from that point has been overhauled to Avanti II version. This is aircraft is totally FREE! It is a "return" to the X-Plane community that supported us those last 4 years that we exist as a development team! This aircraft main features are: High quality visuals, cockpit all new 3D model and textures, including PBR materials. Simulated: a. startup and shutdown procedures b. engine controls and operations c. autopilot controls and operations d. partially operation of the electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel systems. Emulation of Proline 21 avionics suite. Currently there is only one layout that will allow you to operate the aircraft in all scenarios. Many improvements will come in the future. Installation in the 3D cockpit of the default X-Plane 11 FMC. Improved flight characteristics. Internal custom lighting. Of course Avanti development is not stopping here! Actually the overall development will be continuous, and the aircraft will always be in beta stage. Updates and upgrades will be available frequently! Main planned future upgrades are: Adding more functionallity to Proline 21 avionics suite, heading from an emulation to a simulation. Custom NAV maps. Custom FMC. Fully simulation of all systems. New 3D model from ground up. Improved flight model. Avanti EVO. Special thanks to: Austin Meyer for giving his permission to use parts of the Avanti on this project and X-Plane by Laminar Research that gave us this magnificent simulator! The team that originally developed Avanti for X-Plane, Robert Pearson (aerodynamics), Massimo Durando (cockpit & 3D cockpit), and Javier rollon (External Model. JRollonPlanes www.jrollon.com) for his fantastic 3D work. @Hueyman for the propeller 3D model and the prop disc images. Ben Russell of Gizmo64 for his support and that made available to us that powerful tool (aka Gizmo), and Cameron Son of X-Aviation for the support. And of course X-Plane community for the interest in that project and patient to wait to be realized!

  3. Our goal with SkyMaxx Pro will definitely be to get it working in VR at some point. I do have an Oculus here in the office, but we have a couple of things to clear off our plate before we investigate this topic further. We'll definitely post more information on it as we start to examine what's going on and what we can do for VR users!

  4. I just wanted to chime to try to give VR support some more weight. I took the VR plunge as soon as XP11.20vr1 was out and there is really no way of going back to non-VR for me. Realizing that SMP4 was not VR-compatible was disappointing although not totally surprising. However, reading the comments in this thread had me worried a bit regarding the official stance towards VR. I realize it's very early on and it might be a "niche" now but IMO it is foreseeable that the general adoption in the flightsim sector will continue to grow substantially - once you've experienced it it is hard to believe otherwise, especially if you're into flightsimming mainly for leisure and fun. Just as an indicator: There have been 722 posts in the newly created topic VR in X-Plane 11 alone on x-plane.org since January 2nd...

  5. The IXEG team uses Gizmo as the engine underneath their systems. There are some things they're dependent on me to add support for. At this time it is simply not possible to create a pop-out window of any kind using Gizmo. As this year (2018) progresses we will probably see support for this added. After Gizmo has the ability to create pop-able windows it will be upto IXEG to modify their scripts to utilize the new functionality. As for the cockpit builder market, you're in an incredibly small niche within a niche. Time and resources must be dedicated to the largest possible audience to generate a viable and sustainable return. Add the growing VR market into the mix and things get even more "fun".

  6. For any who might be interested the problem is solved. It was due to corruption in my IXEG install. Automatic reinstalling didn't fix it. I had to manually remove it from my drive and do a clean install. Win 10 may well have caused it. Who knows.

  7. Noted. But no promises.

  8. You mean to close the popup window, not the Gizmo plugin, right? Re SASL: I'm using Gizmo in my payware projects (aka DC9), so when I have some to spend to do some stuff for Avanti, it is logical that I will go with what I'm using on a daily basis. After all it is proven that Gizmo is very powerful, with 2 of the best aircraft simulations, run on Gizmo (IXEG 733 and LES Saab 340A). And since I want that horsepower available to me, for things that will come, even for the free Avanti, I ask from you, that for now, accept the small annoyance to have to close that popup window. Regards

  9. It's not so much that the installers in general are a nightmare, but the backstory is that the Saab installer was originally coded in 2013 and at the time was our most advanced installer code to leverage some attempted load balancing on the server, as well as keeping track of file differences and updates. At the time it seemed like a great idea, but in reality it was a terrible idea that I didn't see coming as time progressed. Keeping track of all these variants and the file updates between them, as well as the many gigabytes of data became tedious in the way the installer is coded, and it caused headaches not only for distribution, but also for people like Goran when we would discover some files were not properly updated between variants at update release times. Over the years new installer formats have been developed because of this. Products like IXEG, the MU-2, and pretty much any other recent release contains the more up-to-date installer routines. The Saab needs some love to move to this system so we can future proof release delays going forward on it. At the moment it's not top priority over a couple of other projects that are first in line, but as soon as those are out of the way the focus will switch to this and bringing it all up to speed. We need to leverage our time spent on projects appropriately to balance business cash flow for all involved. We'll get there, just not yet.

  10. It's moving forward. Slowly, but surely. I actually spoke to Cameron yesterday, and asked him what was involved in making an installer for the Saab, and his response was something to the effect of "An installer for an update like this is a nightmare!" I'm guessing it's because of the 3 different variants and all the liveries. Those were the factors that caused so many headaches when we first put it out. It's getting closer. When we know for sure, we'll make a post about it.

  11. I don´t have the FF320, but what I have seen in the videos is absolutely amazing. I fly the A320 family in real life (for 5 years now) and I haven´t seen anything "wrong" in those videos. I can´t comment on the flight-model, but it is certainly a day-one-buy for me! Thanks for the kind words about our 737 - I can assure you that work is ongoing. Just yesterday we have fixed a bug about the pressurization - now it won´t be possible to pressurize the aircraft if any of the cargo doors is open. And of course - if a cargo door pops open in flight (failure simulation some day...) -> rapid decompression. Also fixed the cargo door compartment only being lit if the ground service bus is carrying power... Cheers, Jan

  12. I'm not going to argue. I'm simply saying that even the dreaded Austin at X-Plane offers a demo! Maybe you should consider it. That way you'd have much closer to 100% satisfied buyers and a better reputation - in exchange for marginally less income.
