  2. Been learning Photoshop the last couple of days, and have "finished" EI-STA and done a few more liveries. I haven't got into fancy stuff like custom emergency cutout markings, antennae, etc yet so will add those later. Can anyone please tell me where door outlines are located, they are the most visible next step to paint on some liveries. Cheers! So here's Aeris, ASL Ireland, EBA and Monarch. Air Panama, Air Tiara, Color Air, Inter European, Canadian leased from Monarch, TEA and TEA Swiss almost complete. Will upload to the Org. This painting lark's addictive!

  3. Some fellow VA members ask me this question so I figured I would make a post here and let all the Saab Captains know who may be looking for confirmation... I use the RXP GTN 750 in quite a few aircraft I own and just to let everyone know it works great with the Saab in X-Plane 11. No problems at all. Cheers

  5. IXEG uses standard xplane commands for speed brakes. You need to map 2 buttons or keys of your liking to: -sim/flight controls/speed brake extend one -sim/flight controls/speed brake retract one Depending you press extend one or retract one it will cycle between OFF / ARM / LOW / MED / FULL speed brakes.

  6. No sweat and I am happy you got it to work...by the way, isn´t the new Cardiff airport looking great? Thanks to Anthony for making it... so your "bug report" did serve a purpose after all, I got to check that airport out . Cheers, Jan

  7. OK. 'fess up time! I was not checking the initial trim setting. It is set all the way down at the bottom initially. Once I put it to T/O setting everything is OK. Sorry for wasting your time guys but in the end I learned a valuable lesson about making assumptions. Thanks to all of you above.

  8. Hi Mikey, for what it´s worth I just did the same flight you describe (EGFF runway 30, BCN1A SID, ...) and there was no problem with the takeoff configuration warning. I would suggest rechecking your controller setup and key-binding... I have had reports where suddently keys or buttons were bound to stuff that the user never assigned. In your case it could be a button or lever getting assigned to trim, or some autopilot or artificial stability control. Take a look at what the trim is doing and we should be able to narrow the problem down. Cheers, Jan

  9. We had one more report that there is something going on in 11.05 that didn't in 11.02. Please report to LR if this is the case. M

  10. I think at that point the AP should not be able to trim the aircraft. So maybe some keybinding problems or xp11.05 has a bug/feature that sets the trim on takeoff?

  11. Gizmo requires write permission to X-Plane/X-Aviation/license_db.bin Now that you've run X-P as admin you should be able to locate the file and take ownership, granting yourself write permissions. That said; Windows UAC might get in the way and try and magically hide the file updates from Gizmo leading to the endless loop you had. It's been a general rule not to put X-Plane into Program Files folders for some time because Windows likes to intervene. With the advent of Steam however, this location is basically default, which can lead to the occasional annoyance. Glad you sorted it out, sorry for the hassle. Hope the info above helps you remove the admin tag from X-Plane.exe..

  12. Finally figured that one out on my own. For those of you who may run into the same issue I did, make sure that you go in the X-Plane executable file properties, then in the "Compatibility" menu and set the "Run this program as an administrator" box checked. This is what prevented my license from updating properly. I can now enjoy that awesome 737. It's a true work of art

  15. That's a great one. Would you be able to do EC-FKJ, the "Andalusia" version? That was the first 733 I flew on :).

  16. No offence intended, its seems some devs were behind the eight ball with the release of XP11 and are playing catch up. Whether this is the fault of Laminar or the devs themselves it dosent matter now. This is a whole new era in flight sim and semi professional just does not cut it anymore. What ever you got away with in the past wont help you now and alot of old xplane devs are finding this out the hard way as now your customer base includes alot of P3D users who are used to a certain level of professionalism, which is found lacking with a lot of Xplane devs. Some have stepped up and taken their products to the next level while others are still trying to find the On button to their workstations. One of this sites biggest sellers should have been ready to roll in XP11 as soon as it came out of Beta but you are still trying to fix things for the XP10 version.. Really? and your next release will work in Xp11 but it wont really work.. Double really ? and then you will release V2 maybe in a couple of months. No no no !! Tell me you sacked this person who came up with this idea.

  17. I sort of guessed some might get offended and fan boys would white knight themselves but i bet one thing my post would have definitely put a rocket up some butts and made some rethink about what they perceived as an intelligent idea. As for my people skills yeah maybe im blunt and straight to the point but thats me and i get paid quite well for making people rethink about whats achievable or a good idea,so im not changing anytime soon. You are right i dont know much about the development process of a sim aircraft all i know is about the consumer side of flight sim, actually 25 years of buying, installing and deleting products, so maybe you dont think a consumers point of view (even an arrogant, opinionated like mine) is valid well good on ya mate, you have just failed basic business 101.We all want a quality product at the end of the day and what ever time it takes now Que' sera sera,, so i will go back into my troll cave and fly someone elses products for awhile and let you get back to do what you guys do best. No hard feelings as all is fair in Love,War and Flight Sim Software development. Cheers Val .G
