  1. Hello Captains, I know a lot of you enjoy seeing some form of progress, so I'm providing you with a few screenshots showing off the exterior of the 737 Classic. As per usual, everything is a work in progress, but I hope you enjoy! Remember to click on the images to see a slightly larger version!

  2. You will soon be able to put our flightmodel to the test We are planning on providing you with the information and tools you need to by yourself VERIFY how accurate our flightmodel aerodynamics and engine model are. No need to take our word for it anymore. Basically we want to educate those interested in basic aerodynamics. We put huge efforts into the flightmodel, but it's really hard for a regular user to really know. Up until now it has been really easy for a designer to throw out claims about their flightmodels. Very few have the data or knowhow to question them anyway. These are some of the claims that are out on the popular XP products website today; "..Accurate flight model, as close as it gets to real performance." "..Precise flightmodel..." "..Accurate flight model tuned by pilots.." "..Realistic flight model..." ".. you can be sure that the xxxxxx is at least 95% accurate to the real aircraft.." But, do they all hold what they promise? Probably not...! Numbers don't lie, they are not subjective, so we are also considering releasing necessary data and instructions for you to check on those aircraft as well. You have the right to know. We'll see... It's a bit like the VW fuel scandal where they claimed to have alot better numbers than what they really do and the customers have no way of knowing. But for now, focus is getting the aircraft done

  3. No worries, I'm also working on unrealistically dirty aircraft liveries with unrealistically extreme visible rivets and seams as well. Have no idea why some would want it that way, but guess it's a trend in the sim community to show off (unrealistic) detail... (fortunately fuel in XP is free and the pax don't pay to get onboard) (the MD80 livery artists did a fantastic job - best I've seen in XP - don't get me wrong) As you know, unlike most others, we made this aircraft starting on the inside (systems, aerodynamics, cockpit) and working our way out. So the exterior/cabin and textures still are not 100% done yet.

  7. I luckily had the chance to be on 3 flights with 737 Classics (2 737-300s and 1 737-500; all in Southamerica) in the last few weeks and I noticed that there is wing flex but very little. You mainly notice it in turbulence (and I think this is not so easy to implement in the sim). I'm gonna have a look tomorrow if you can see the wing flex on the videos I took and - if so - I'm gonna post them. Anyway I don't care much about that wing flex since it's not very much flex like in a B787. Take your time guys and concentrate on the more important things first. Greetings, K4bel123

  8. wingflex is for passager flying looking outside the window, Pilots flying with the seat of there pants couldn't care less about wingflex

  9. Winglex IMHO should never be a priority. There are other features that could be added that would be better than wing fkex.

  11. In terms of quality i would say it's close to their previous releases - 757 & 777. They certainly improved 3D cockpit and added some neat looking reflections on the inside and the outside, yet i think the cockpit is still lacking the final touch when compared to the very best out there (FJS 737, LES Saab 340). FMC includes some of the very same bugs i've seen before on the '57 (wrong ETO times, T/D miscalculations) along with some new ones (step climb problems, VNAV restrictions) Payware liveries are sadly of medium freeware quality again. The problem that i have with FlightFactor is that they don't aim for "lite" products. Instead they try to execute PMDG quality addon and then do obvious mistakes and bugs they never fix. I've made 3 complete flights (2 online) with the 767 so far and there are so many things i like about it that i'm angry it's not a little bit better and more polished Well, the wait for IXEG continues...

  15. We are not going to rush it. It will be done when we feel that we can release it without being ashamed. We are not going to release without our internal minimum feature set. We have never promised that it would be before Christmas, 2015, or even this century, if you read all the statements we have made precisely. No one is entitled to a release at or before a certain time, and if the release date does not fit your schedule, you are more than welcome to pass on this product. . The team has - over the development timeframe - faced many unforeseen events and unplanned obstacles. Several babies were born, family members have been severely sick or even died, jobs have been lost, the team has had personal changes, development goals have changed... I know that everyone is excited to see this plane out, and so are we! Please realize that we are not taking this long to piss anyone off. I know many of you say "just release it, I don´t care if stuff is missing!" But please take a look into the support forums of recently released planes - people are NOT content with the "just release it". They will say so, but then bitch about every rivet or seam that is not exactly like they saw on airliners.net. In conclusion: We will release when ready. It might even take another 5 years, if WE feel that we need the time. Oh, and don´t cancel your skiing vacation to play the 737 just yet. No amount of moaning will change that, except maybe for the worse, as our motivation to finish it suffers. I know it´s hard to stand the wait, but even if you throw yourself on the floor and thrash about with arms and legs, this will not go any faster...(though maybe it will releave the frustration, so maybe give it a try!) Cheers, Jan
