No, we haven´t. I plan to make a quick video soon, it will be boring and nerdy, however. It will be showing how to add/edit/fly an SID, FMS behaviour, VNAV editing (adding/deleting speed and altitude restrictions), T/C calculation change, CLB page behaviour, etc. This will be a milestone video, showing what Tom has accomplished these last few weeks. Once the plane is feature-complete and we are satisfied that we have reached a "releasable" status, we are going to have a countdown to release, with periodic releases of the 6 tutorial videos I have prepared (to go along with the written tutorials). At least thats the plan! Jan6 points

We are not going to rush it. It will be done when we feel that we can release it without being ashamed. We are not going to release without our internal minimum feature set. We have never promised that it would be before Christmas, 2015, or even this century, if you read all the statements we have made precisely. No one is entitled to a release at or before a certain time, and if the release date does not fit your schedule, you are more than welcome to pass on this product. . The team has - over the development timeframe - faced many unforeseen events and unplanned obstacles. Several babies were born, family members have been severely sick or even died, jobs have been lost, the team has had personal changes, development goals have changed... I know that everyone is excited to see this plane out, and so are we! Please realize that we are not taking this long to piss anyone off. I know many of you say "just release it, I don´t care if stuff is missing!" But please take a look into the support forums of recently released planes - people are NOT content with the "just release it". They will say so, but then bitch about every rivet or seam that is not exactly like they saw on airliners.net. In conclusion: We will release when ready. It might even take another 5 years, if WE feel that we need the time. Oh, and don´t cancel your skiing vacation to play the 737 just yet. No amount of moaning will change that, except maybe for the worse, as our motivation to finish it suffers. I know it´s hard to stand the wait, but even if you throw yourself on the floor and thrash about with arms and legs, this will not go any faster...(though maybe it will releave the frustration, so maybe give it a try!) Cheers, Jan3 points

Maybe not, but when nobody else has done CBs you're still breaking new ground Little touches like making the Flight Deck the right colour for an airline... this sounds amazing guys! Oh and good with the GPS! Your suggestion you weren't sure where it should go suggested you hadn't added it yet!2 points

Or you could take the more realistic approach that this project is in fact finished. Released? No. Finished? Very likely.2 points

Ugh, why must you torture me with the concept of working circuit breakers!? D: The only thing I can think of with working CBs is the AirFoilLabs C172, and that doesn't have nearly as many circuit breakers as the DC9. I can't wait to see the future of this project! (And don't worry, I'll stay away from the P-40 ) -VETTE1 point

Speak for yourself Jan So as to not to sound too fatalistic here, we are certainly closing in on it very rapidly. I cannot tell you for certain today that we won't release it in 2015. But if we determine that an extra week or two or three to do a thorough once-over and final round of beta flight testing in order for us to feel really good that you will be getting the product you are hoping for, then we will certainly do that. We'll see, I still aiming for a 2016 release, and since your latest update, I even more believe it will be 2016. Which is no problem, as you describe "We release it when we feel it's ready" But 6 tut + FMC video and christmas time around the corner, well it must be a god wonder if it releases in 2015. Anyway take the time you need (no hate)1 point

Thanks mate! Circuit breakers is not in my opinion the hardest think to simulate. That said, it does not mean that in every flight you have to trip CBs all the time! In contrary, you will barely see this happened. And we are not going to introduce random failures, rather failures as a logical consequence of what's happening. But, we want to have that factor in the pilots consideration, because that looked the life back then. Today, systems are way more reliable, so it's not that big factor. Cockpit color will be in accordance with livery. What the airline was using? For fictional liveries haven't been considered yet. Actually is already there! Dear Pilots, As some of you already know, our team has started, back in summer of 2013, the DC-9 for X-Plane project. Today, I would like to give you the latest updates on that project. 1. HISTORY (in brief… of the project… not the airplane!) Back in 2013, we’ve started DC-9 in parallel with Mykonos Airport. At one point we saw that Mykonos was advancing fast and our 2 members-team decided to finish Mykonos first. After Mykonos, we follow the proposal of Aerosoft for Manchester, so DC-9 remained for about a year almost stalled. Fast forward, as new members joined the team, we jump on Chicago O’Hare project. But this time, we decided to dedicate 1/3 of our time on DC-9. This means that the last few months the project is advancing again. 2. UPDATE (Dec 11, 2015) No! Will not be ready for Christmas! As mentioned above, we are advancing with the project now. The status today is: - Flight Model: We have a very good flight model, though still requires few things at the extremities of the flight envelope. We are targeting to have the most accurate possible flight model with X-Plane’s natives tools (Planemaker, Airfoil-maker) and then and the final refinements with the use of plugin system. Our goal is to be within the 5% of the published numbers of the aircraft, in the whole flight envelope. - Exterior Model: We have the basic 3D model ready, but we need to add a ton of details yet. And liveries of course! - Cockpit: Almost all the 3D instruments, knobs, etc. are ready with some basic texturing. And about 1/3 of them animation and manipulator ready. Specially the animation/manipulator part is intertwined with the plugin system so the will advance in parallel. - Systems: It’s a hot topic lately about X-Plane aircrafts realism. At this point the only can be said is that everything will matter, actions will have consequences. Probably, you may have to reset some of the circuit breaker to revive a system. - Plugin system: One of the basics aspect of this development will be the plugin system. This something that haven’t been decided yet, but we have a good idea where we heading. No more to say here. - Equipment: Our model is based on the most popular DC-9-32 aircraft and will have the respective equipment of that era. No FMS of course. But… because we want you to enjoy our plane even flying online, we will include X-Plane’s GPS430. We haven’t decided yet if there will be the actually unit represented in 3D in the cockpit, or you will click somewhere and get the popup GPS to use. That’s the only “retrofit” that will be made. That’s all for now! Please feel free to ask any question, except about the release date (it will take as long as it needs to be 100% ready), or about previews (images, videos, etc). We are eager to show you , but when we will have something finished first into the sim. Best Regards1 point

Yes, full support, including editing, adding or deleting restrictions, changing runways, adding transitions, etc. Also correct "magenta" including turn-radii, bypass behaviour, etc. Also conditional waypoints like "when passing 800..." or "fly until intercepting radial..." Correct fly-by and fly-over waypoint behaviour, etc. Jan1 point

HD Mesh has been conquered... georeferencing custom orthophotos has been conquered... it's almost ready, folks. Next up: who knows. Still waiting for word from headquarters whether I need to rebuild Lanai for HD mesh or whether I should focus on Molokai.1 point

Hey guys, thought you might be interested in this. Its a cold and dark start of a real 737-400. Its kinda low quality but its still really cool!1 point
