  7. Hello, I am using skymaxx pro and I've noticed something odd. When I zoom out very far, I get to a certain level that is all blue and I can no longer see the earth just stars. Here are some pics: Zoomed far away Further Space and no earth Not really a huge problem but a bit weird. Also get weird blue glowing clouds sometimes. Mostly it looks good though. Cheers Andy

  8. I'm sure you can run SkyMaxx at better than lowest settings, Tom, which would in turn be a considerable difference. My PC is OC @ 4.6Ghz and 4gigs on the GPU , have No issue with fps, just dont care much about xp clouds. Kinda perticular and purhaps a bit wierd about simulation and graphics, but thats just me.

  12. Please looks at the pics in the link JohnMaxx posted post #5. I hate to toot my own horn but I think those are some of the best SkyMaxx atmosphere shots... Try the Tropical Sky colour pack, to me it gives the most realistic looking colours in any location. Ive noticed HDR doesnt affect the clouds as much as it does the ground textures and terrain.

  14. Well, the main problem with HDR is not HDR itself but AA (at least on my system: i7 2600k, GTX670 2GB, 16GB Ram, 1920*1080). Performance drops as soon as SSAA is turned on and everything less than 4xSSAA+FXAA means a lot of shimmering. HDR+FXAA alone is really fast. Flo

  15. Most humans will lead-sight their objective as well. The thinking that we're purely passive and just sit there soaking up the G's is just plain wrong. To get it right the view needs to pan UP when the G's are piled on, as though the pilot is looking into their turn..... The vibrations are a neat effect... if you need something generic. With projects like IXEG it'll just get in the way.

  16. Culiacan to Manzanillo at 33 000 with the 727. SkyMaxx is really impressive when you get it tweaked right. Hey AtomicFrog what shadow and Aliasing settings do you use? Those exterior shots of the C90 are really slick

  18. Hi all, I too had observed the loss of orbit textures. What I'd like to do is be able to see nice cirrus, but on absolutely clear days (like in the winter), I'd still like to see the earth orbit textures at the distance limits (100 miles in XP?). Since there would be no clouds, this should not be a performance issue. SkyMaxx appears to somehow prevent one from seeing those earth orbit textures under clear conditions (and I have custom textures, so I'm losing access to them). Any way, when the sky is "clear" (some cirrus above), to see "to the (XPlane) visibility limit? Thanks Bill
