  2. night shot. a video should be coming along in the near term. Not just a pretty face as the upcoming video will demonstrate...most everything is operable with considerable attention given to immersive detail...aural, visual and tactile. TomK

  3. So I started a thread on the org but I figured one would be appropriate here as well. Here is where you can find the WIP renders and screenshots of the cockpit and general 3D/visual updates. Some beginnings of the main panel.

  4. That's laughable. P3D is marketed as a training simulator only, not an entertainment simulator. If you do not believe me, check the EULA that comes with P3D. It specifically states that it is not to be used for entertainment purposes. Of course, that does not stop Lockheed Martin from selling it to individual users, who claim that they are using it for training purposes. And then the even more laughable thing, is that P3D is marketed as an FSX replacement, and all of the add ons are compatible… So much for a non-entertainment sim...

  8. Exactly. I love reading all of the comments on another flight sim forum, where FSX users state that they are purchasing P3D, under an academic licence because they are "using it to maintain their pilots licence". Sure you are. No offence, but simulators are a piss poor alternative to actually getting your hands on the controls. What they are good for is the purely procedural side of flying, be it instrument work, radio navigation, etc. Areas where introduction on the ground, and practice will be of value before stepping into the cockpit, and going for it... Edit: I should also add, that I cannot wait for the day that Microsoft gets jealous of Lockheed Martin making money off of a simulator, especially one that is being used illegally under a commercial only EULA. Clash of the titans in court for sure, but it will likely end with Microsoft withdrawing any support LM had to develop P3D as an add-on or update for FSX...

  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a Sprint Air video dating 26.04.2013 and I don't see an FMC. Pic: http://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/271823/ur-cgq-sprint-air-saab-340/

  15. The FMS is not complete enough for setting up a full flight ktomais. Partso of it work, but not all of it. The FMS is probably around 75% and we have to connect lots of loose ends together. Tutorials are definitnely a big part of what we want to provide. TomK

  16. Well Gents... I've made a choice that will hopefully enable me to once again put me on the right path to follow another career I've dreamed of... I've been so busy lately with being a dual major freshman at the University of Central Florida that I hadn't flown in over a year.. I stopped with 180 hours when I was 16 right before getting my PPL which I always regretted. Being unhappy at the University and always focused on my own online businesses instead of going to class, I decided that I still needed a form of "paper education" in case my own businesses did not work out (so far so good ). Well after being once again hooked on flying from using X-Plane over the past few months, and being taken up once again with a few friends in a Da40 two weeks ago, I took the plunge and decided to re-enroll myself in flight training to pursue my dream of getting my commercial pilot's license. I'm finishing up my freshman year at the University and will be doing my full commercial training over the course of next summer. If all goes as planned I will have my commercial pilot's license before I turn 19 next August. I was also introduced to one of the guys here in Sarasota that owns a Jet Brokering firm that could potentially look at hiring me once I have my licenses completed... which has me very excited as it's been a dream of mine to start a jet brokering/charter company. I'll be continuing work at an online local college despite my dislike of school in order to get a degree nonetheless. I guess my main goal of this post is to say, always follow your dreams, and even if you pause on them for a while, if it's meant to be it'll happen and you can always return to your passion. I'm glad I had a first year at university because it pushed me even more to focus on my own businesses and to work for myself because I began to realize that spending 80k to not be guaranteed a job. Follow your dreams, people! Happy Flying, Olivier C.
