We do not control turbulence from the aircraft side of things. The turbulence model in x-plane is a bit crazy and I myself simply turn down x-plane settings along with the thermal climb rate, which introduces ridiculous turbulence. We also do not put in wing flex and engine shake as of now. We have a philosophy of operational accuracy first and secondary physical responses later. Such effects go into the "eye candy" category, which is not bad at all...we like eye candy ourselves, it simply falls at the end of our priority chain, so given the option of spending our time developing low priority eye candy effects now vs. real aircraft operational accuracy, we choose the latter as priority. In addition, wing flex is not easy to get right. Most folks use simple relationships and this results in excessive flex in hard landings, which looks bad. We would like to implement proper beam flexure and stiffness models from mechanics and possibly forcing functions to get small wing vibrations while taxiing. All that being said, the classic has relatively stubby wings and do not flex as much as longer wingspan aircraft so nobody on our team misses it, we're having too much fun just sitting in the cockpit. In summary, yes we like wing flex but we will not put it in to simply make a longer bullet list for marketing. Once we get everything else done right, we may turn to the wing flex for this model, we may not...the short wings may not be worth the effort involved for this aircraft, at least not for the initial release. We are 3+ yrs into this and need to wrap up asap. Once we have a product on the market, some revenue and more time to invest in this kind of thing, then you will probably see more eye candy features applied. Right now the cockpit and sounds are just fantastic to experience IMO. We are working towards another video as soon as possible. TomK IXEG4 points

Hey guys (and Gals)! I used to always look for a Twotter with a 3D cockpit that was freeware. Well now my search is over! I found the "twotter" by Pedro a while back when it was only 2D. I looked again yesterday and he has updated the from 2D to 3D and boy do they look nice! I thought I'd share this link with you all that may not have it to make your search easier. Here it is: http://aeropedro.despair.ch/Aeropedro/DHC.html It's at the very bottom. Sorry for the lack of pictures.... I may upload some today. The DHC-6 Twin Otter "Twotter" is a great STOL plane for Bush flying. It is used for other purposes of course but Bush flying is what to do with it. It's a great plane to fly. My Airline flies it and so does EPOCH AA. You can learn more about my airline HERE as well as on OUR SITE. Enjoy your Twin Otter! Thank you Pedro (pedrovl on the .org) for this superb aircraft!2 points

I love Turboprops. Period. That said, I've said before that I have an irrational attraction to the Beechcraft KingAir C90B ... heck, I love any KingAir, and it's with this mind-set that I see the Carenado KingAir. It is beautiful to look at and also beautiful to fly. It feels right to me and takes suspension of believe to that warm and fuzzy zone for me. Systems wise it's complex enough so that there is a real feeling of being involved with the airplane in flight; Carenado/Dan have done a very good job with this one ... I would easily put it on par with the MU-2 and the JS32 ... credit where credit is due. If you love turboprops you should get this airplane.2 points

Hey Mario, I'm not a C90 expert but all switch are functional ( not sure if all of them works but features such overspeed gov test etc are useless in sim ). I like this idea as if a real pilot use it as a training aid, it still can follow real world checklist and click those maybe dummy switches. The fuel system looks to be fully operational, same for autopilot and nav systems, as well as de-ice systems. Regarding Avidyne, I posted below shots of all of its page, nothing really interesting I would say but it is here ! It features an integrated TCAS system, and display all AI flying around ( you won't see them in those screens as I didn't loaded any AI planes ). About the " Radar ", don't know if it's a Weather radar or just the display of traffic nearby in a better size than main page. For flight dynamics, as usual, Carenado made the choice to have very easy planes to handle, and so is looking for that " fly on rails " behavior... this is why I had to add almost ten degrees of control surface deflections in PM for almost all controls ... Overall, the 3D and texture is top notch, as we're always used to, but I would add on this last plane they put a particular effort on everything ... circuit breaker panel isn't just a blurry texture but all breakers are in 3D and text is crystal clear. Night light effect is dramatic ! Custom coded strobe lights, really nice from external views. All parts are accurately modeled ( landing gear, flaps, trim tabs, prop blades etc etc ) and reflections on the spinner are always breathtaking !2 points

I love the C90 more than the B200 or any other. I'm just holding on buying due to the lack of $ in my flight sim "jar"2 points

Quick question for anyone already using this: How do you open the doors on it? I can't figure it out!1 point

Freak-a-zoid YES! Credit card is pulling out of the wallet..... Now I just need to wait a bit before due to my lack of funds in the "FLight Sim Jar".1 point

Yes Kris I 100% agree with you, Carenado keeps raising the bar and so Daniel Klaue is doing his best ! I agree with you with the systems, about everything works like it should, at least what needs to be done in a sim ! Avidyne, fuel system etc etc I flew it all night long now I'm so tired you can't even imagine ... I haven't had so much pleasure in X-Plane for a while to be honest !1 point

Well Gents... I've made a choice that will hopefully enable me to once again put me on the right path to follow another career I've dreamed of... I've been so busy lately with being a dual major freshman at the University of Central Florida that I hadn't flown in over a year.. I stopped with 180 hours when I was 16 right before getting my PPL which I always regretted. Being unhappy at the University and always focused on my own online businesses instead of going to class, I decided that I still needed a form of "paper education" in case my own businesses did not work out (so far so good ). Well after being once again hooked on flying from using X-Plane over the past few months, and being taken up once again with a few friends in a Da40 two weeks ago, I took the plunge and decided to re-enroll myself in flight training to pursue my dream of getting my commercial pilot's license. I'm finishing up my freshman year at the University and will be doing my full commercial training over the course of next summer. If all goes as planned I will have my commercial pilot's license before I turn 19 next August. I was also introduced to one of the guys here in Sarasota that owns a Jet Brokering firm that could potentially look at hiring me once I have my licenses completed... which has me very excited as it's been a dream of mine to start a jet brokering/charter company. I'll be continuing work at an online local college despite my dislike of school in order to get a degree nonetheless. I guess my main goal of this post is to say, always follow your dreams, and even if you pause on them for a while, if it's meant to be it'll happen and you can always return to your passion. I'm glad I had a first year at university because it pushed me even more to focus on my own businesses and to work for myself because I began to realize that spending 80k to not be guaranteed a job. Follow your dreams, people! Happy Flying, Olivier C.1 point

Entirely and totally different league with a little bit different "budget" ... I could only find things like this ... 100 million spent on marketing ONLY for BF3 : http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/711624/ea-to-spend-more-than-100-million-on-battlefield-3-marketing-campaign/ Or see the 265 million spent on GTA5 .... http://www.cinemablend.com/games/GTA-5-Cost-265-Million-Develop-Market-58922.html BUT ... it doesn't mean that the X-Plane engine is not capable of creating some nice visuals too ... quite a lot of what you see is about content (not just engine). John82088, Redfisher's right. Whenever this 737 comes out, you will want to purchase it regardless of what else is out at the time. It is so groundbreaking, it is THE one aircraft you will want on your computer. It's going to put everything else in the shade. Unless you don't own a copy of xplane, I can think of no logical reason not to buy it. I don't have xp10 (yet), but that 737 is on my order list regardless.1 point

But in real life planes can go through buildings! How often do you do that by the way? Remember to use brakes upon touchdown. They're very helpful.1 point
