  1. You're giving us a really good case as to why we traditionally give you guys almost NO info on release dates. Let this comment be an example. Who started this whole "today" thing, anyhow? I haven't seen any of our own people make such a comment, so just curious. We've been pretty good about making this form of info available to you.

  3. It's all good. The anticipation people have is actually very motivating. We're giving the whole aircraft a looking over to make sure everything is in place. It was pointed out, as early as this morning, that I had to make a few adjustments that I missed along with finding a couple of issues myself that I missed. With the exception of the manual, we're at the point now where we are "turning off the lights before we leave". Cheers fellas

  4. Nicolas offended me by calling it crap vaporware. So we stopped working on it and we're going fishing.

  5. Due to popular demand we're putting the project back on the workbench for another year to add an FMC.

  6. Sorry Cameron, I misunderstood the first post. Assumed that (tonight, tomorrow morning, whatever) meant today.

  7. I'm somewhat angry about myself that I am victim to the marketing efforts of the guys at X-Aviation. On the other hand -- feels like the time when I was a teenager (Well. It's not THAT long ago.) and I had no real important responsibilities. The Saab makes me young again *lol*

  9. I think I will only be able to focus on important things again once I have that plane in my hands. Funny -- never been hyped by a commercial product that much before.

  11. @ Hueyman X-Plane still does not take advantage of everything, you are correct. I have tested it on some higher end pc's all the way down to my four year old Alienware laptop. The FPS issue will only get better over time and with better code/updates from Austin and others. This conversation reminds me of the evolution of V 9 from beginning to end, and how FPS improved. A side note. My favorite thing to watch is the amount of memory being used by X-Plane 10. I have compared the 10 to 9 and the bandwidth being used. After testing one vs. the other, I can lower 10 to 1/4 (to X-Plane 9) and still not match the FPS of X-Plane 9 at the higher bandwidth.

  13. You can bet that I will be flying the crap out of this plane. I have allready brushed up on my RNAV skills with the JS32 and MU-2B. Now I am just patiently (impatiently) waiting. GIMMY GIMMY GIMMY!

  14. C'mon fella's, obviously it will be ready when it's ready. I'm sure that psychological baggage (e.g. unnecessary guilt) is the last thing that we, would want the people who are making our toys to experience at this late stage of the game! I can guarantee that your collective existence is not in jeopardy because the SAAB is a tad later than you all expected!

  15. The Saab 340A has no FMS. The 340A is either flown with classic navigation, or pilots use an external GPS. The Saab 340B has a FMS, though, but I imagine it was a deliberate decision to first do the version without FMS. It took long enough -- a FMS version would probably have taken 1 year longer
