  1. Not again. Take it elsewhere, puh-lease. If you think it's a banned person, report it to Cameron. Really annoying to see this thread constantly devolve into "I think you're Erik."

  2. We're doing rolling releases at the moment to ensure we don't overdo our support levels and to make sure no outstanding bugs are present in recent updates. The last two weeks have consisted of the C400 and MU2, and I'm sure we'll see the DC-3 soon.

  4. I can't imagine how great it's gonna be to fly B742 in X-Plane. One of my best sim experiences over past 15 years was flying Ready For Pushback 742 in FS9. Considering you're gonna focus on study sims from now on, i can't wait to hop into FE seat with real performance charts at hand We need more talented developers doing classic steam gauge airliners (L-1011, DC-10, DC-8, B732?). I'm getting seriously bored with all those glass cockpits everywhere Yup, that calculator is handy on this plane!

  5. Dont leave us, this lot cares about you......look at most of the posts found in this mighty group. The developers here are better and care about what comes out, and after seeing what you are capable of you would fit right in. MSFS is nice but has no support from the publishers anymore, developers are legion for MSFS but not so for us.....we need more! Slainte, Andy NZCH

  7. Takin my brand-spanking new C400 out for a spin! I must say, this bird is quite visually limited, (animated stick, doors, resolution, custom sounds..) but the amazing G1000 makes up for most of it. Birds! Aaaand, touchdown!

  8. Quite a post. I did see your comments before and when I see comments that have a somewhat negative undertone, I usually don't reply. First, it's very unlikely we're going to make more Citations any time soon. After the Saab and Citation, we have another 2 (possibly 3) add ons planned...1 of which is the 742. Modern glass cockpits and systems are extremely tedious and time consuming to make. A perfect example of this is the Saab 340. We COULD make a lite version, but we don't want to go down that road anymore. Everything we make from the Saab onwards will be "procedure level". The turboprop market is one we have been seriously considering on exploiting. In our down time, we have been looking at various turboprops and found some very interesting ones we would like to create. With 1 in particular that caught our attention. (Don't ask, coz we ain't telling!) As for developing for FSX or any other platform...that is extremely unlikely. We have our own reservations to not develop for FSX and I don't really want to go criticizing it on certain points. I'm sure it is a great platform for users and developers alike, but for us, based on what we know about it, it lacks certain features that are readily available in X-Plane. Weather radar being just one example.

  11. A shot of the potential 10. Essentially, the SLG forces the front of the gear up, pushing the rear of the gear into the ground, effectively making the gear higher (except only on the rear wheels) this allows the plane's angle of attack to be higher without tailstrikes. The reason it works on this plane and not on the -9 or -8 is because they don't have SLGs and the gear bogey is just free-hanging.

  12. hiroshi's research into the 787-10, apparently, the new 787-10 won't have triple bogies, and will instead have an SLG that will keep contact with the ground and force the rear wheels against the ground during the landing and takeoff phases, essentially making the gear behave as though it's longer.

  13. Org suspended me for one week. This is the last time I used org. I'm sick of those bastards who ban you for a post that you try to explain something in it. So, X-Pilot, here I am! Prepare for my last projects for X-Plane (probably, I'm moving to MSFS later on probably): -MX2 [Freeware] -EMG-5 [Freeware] -Pipistrel Panthera [Payware] -Concorde [?] Enough projects till the end of the year 2014. As I said, after that, I'm going to switch to MSFS since MSFS community actually cares about other projects and helps people with planemaking when they're in trouble. By the way, we're (a huge community of people who got banned from org for no reason) probably going to start a petition to Austin towards the org. PM me for details. Mat

  14. I highly recommend FSEconomy as a great in-between to virtual airlines where you might feel a little stuffy, and apps like Air Hauler which are "single player" tools. FSEconomy blends the community aspects of a VA in with the man-on-a-mission aspects of Air Hauler into one unified experience which is hard to beat. I do essentially ALL my simulation flying with FSEconomy. Despite X-Plane and FSE being compatible in most respects, aspects of my flying style and personal preferences don't lend themselves well to X-Plane just yet. That is one of the key reasons I have not been able to make the switch to flying more with X-Plane. I've done a few FSE flights in X-Plane but still find myself returning to "old faithful". That's not to say YOU wouldn't like it - there are many FSEconomy pilots using X-Plane and loving every moment. FSEconomy doesn't inherently enhance or detract from one platform or another really - if you like X-Plane flying, you'll love X-Plane flying with FSEconomy! Give it a shot! -Greg

  16. OH, you have NO idea! All kidding aside... this will be the most "in-depth" systems simulation we have done yet.

  17. Hey! A tidbit of information from Eport Aviation Graphics! It has been confirmed that before the end of July, there will be no less than three paints for the 787 done by him! Many of you are probably familiar with his work on my aircrafts, and I must say I'm excited about this!
