  1. one week before christmas i started to pave Barcelonas taxiways. my goal was just to use 2d elements in WED, like taxiways, centerlines and edgelights. Now i am close to finish this 2d stuff. in the mean time i started to add some droped polygons like dirt and the red striped keep-off zones near gates (just 2-3 samples laid out). and i started to add some 3d objects - but i don't know how far i will go with that - there are no goals btw, i am still using x plane 9 and WED 1.1

  3. It took me about 8 tries but i managed to get the 747-200 on a carrier without crashing it also i would have reduced my signature more but my PC is kinda massive so the specs take up a ton of space

  5. No need to be cryptic. What's so hard about saying X-Plane.org?

  6. Hi, I converted a scenery of MUCC (Cayo Coco, Cuba) and the first thing I wanted to do was to replace the apron lights with HDR lights. I placed 4 AreaFloodHighMast.obj from \lib\g10\streetlighs, but for some strange reason only one of them shows up in the sim. I can see all 4 in Overlay Editor and in WED as well, but not in the sim. I am using WED 1.2 and X-Plane 10.20rc1 on a Mac with OSX 10.8.2 The Scenery I am converting is not freeware therefore I am attaching only the apt.dat and the BGL with the newly placed lights (no orthos or other objects) but even like this those lights don't show up. I also removed all other sceneries for the custom scenery folder in case there was some other pack conflicting with this one but no luck. Any ideas? MUCC Cayo Coco.zip

  7. Overland stopped making freeware I think, as I had their freeware MD-11 on FSX.

  8. Flying over Tomales Bay, just a few minutes flying time north of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay Area. The Point Reyes National Seashore nature reserve is to the right as we head south toward the Bay Area in the early morning. The Nicasio Reservoir is in the distance on the left.

  9. Google search XHSI and you would have come up with this link right at the top: http://xhsi.sourceforge.net

  10. I Don't Know of any programs that you can use to simulate the avionics but chances are if you sell both of the old laptops you could build an x-plane 10 capable system running Linux off of the money you get from selling them. you will have to build the computer yourself though, but judging by the fact that you had a 16 port switch just laying under your bed (not in use i assume) I'm pretty sure you know how to or can figure it out. Also yes you can network x-plane across multiple operating systems (in fact i once networked x-plane across multiple networks). Also Chris XHS actually is not enough said since a Google search out of curiosity turned up nothing but a high school. could you include a link as to whatever XHS is?

  12. Indeed, the biggest danger being a stack overflow. This is not something PC developers are aware of as the default stack is rather big. But stack overflow may very well bite you if you have to port your perfectly working and elegant program on some other platforms. If you need to port on such platforms and chose to stick with recursion you will then have to make sure any input data that your program will have to deal with will never ever overflow the stack no matter where the stack pointer is a the time your recursive program is called. This means things like checking all code paths, size of arguments passed on stack and all local variables in each of these code paths. Having to develop on several platforms, recursion is something I stay away from, too much potential trouble. PhM

  15. Here are some renders of the 3 aircraft that i modeled before i started the B-29 and C-46. I will not be importing any of these into x-plane at this point in time (but I may I import the CL-215 model once the B-29 and C-46 are done. Sorry if this post is extremely long.

  17. I have the B1900d and I love flying it as I see them alot here in NZCH. While your at it can you make the shadow map for the cockpit as it needs some "depth" to match todays standards? Looking forward to seeing what else you do with this and other projects Slainte, Andy NZCH

  19. My post was not necessarily directed at you. Eversince this Dreamteam stuff has come here there has been drama internally and externally of the group. That said, the above posted e-mail should settle the doubts you personally had, as well as Peter's.
