Goran_M Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Glad you're enjoying it.I'll let Jim jump in with regards to the CL's. Quote
JGregory Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Same issue.. will be fixed in the update. Quote
signmanbob Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 Same issue.. will be fixed in the update. So the solution right now, is just to use the mouse to move the conditioning levers? Quote
JGregory Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 So the solution right now, is just to use the mouse to move the conditioning levers? Some people have gotten the levers to work. If you can't do that then yes, use the mouse for the time being. Quote
MarRog Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 A pity that it's not possible to set the CLs with the mouse on the popup 2D TQ. Quote

Cameron Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 A pity that it's not possible to set the CLs with the mouse on the popup 2D TQ.Huh?He wants to be able to drag the TQ window yellow bars rather than the 3D model levers, Jim. Quote
JGregory Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 He wants to be able to drag the TQ window yellow bars rather than the 3D model levers, Jim.Since the thread was about assigning the Condition Levers, I though he may want to do that with the TQ gui... but wasn't sure. Quote
MarRog Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 He wants to be able to drag the TQ window yellow bars rather than the 3D model levers, Jim. Yes, that's what I meant, but having 2 Saitek TQs, the possibility to use the axes that are assigned to PROP 1 & 2 (or MIXTURE 1 & 2) in X-plane's axes assignments is much more important for me.Also important for me is not having to re-assign the CLs each time I open the Saab 340. And then I need more free time to enjoy the Saab (oh, so you can't help me with that ? ). Quote
Ben Russell Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 I vote for more popup functionality too. I only have an X-52 throttle, don't want to assign -anything- to the CL's... would much rather use the popup than the shitty manipulator quirks that X-Plane provides. (Drag down to move forward, until you change camera angle... or wear different socks... it's absurd.) 2 Quote
Cameron Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 Also important for me is not having to re-assign the CLs each time I open the Saab 340. This one has been discussed to no end and can't happen. Laminar is going to need to step in there. And then I need more free time to enjoy the Saab (oh, so you can't help me with that ? ). Got a job? Quit it. Quote
signmanbob Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 So the solution right now, is just to use the mouse to move the conditioning levers?Thank you. I'll be looking forward to the update. Quote
signmanbob Posted November 26, 2015 Report Posted November 26, 2015 I see "Solved" but what was the solution for this problem? Moving the CLs with the mouse?! Quote
JGregory Posted November 26, 2015 Report Posted November 26, 2015 I see "Solved" but what was the solution for this problem? Moving the CLs with the mouse?! What are you referring to? This thread is rather old, and several issues were discussed. Some of those issues were resolved in previous updates. Quote
signmanbob Posted November 26, 2015 Report Posted November 26, 2015 Ok. I was just talking about the condition lever being controlled by throttle levers instead of the mouse. It's been a while since I flew the Saab, but I remember having this problem. Was this taken care of in an update?I'm wanting to start flying it again, is why I ask. Thank you,Bob Quote
Goran_M Posted November 26, 2015 Report Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Hi BobAm I correct in assuming you mean the re-assigning of the axis for the Condition Levers each time the sim is started or is it the hardware that is not working with the Condition levers? charlie130 Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 I have just purchased the SAAB, (and the DC3!). I have no issues with the use of the condition levers.I have a Saitek X55. My throttle therefore has the usual two throttles and two potentiometers on top and below each throttle. It also has two additional potentiometers on the base plate. Its these last two that I assign the SAAB condition levers to.I also have my Saitek plugged into a USB 3 port. Overkill perhaps, but since XP and the SAAB is reading voltage variations from the potentiometers. I surmise that the more accurate (faster) the voltage variation is read, then the better the interpretation of the position of the levers. Hence perhaps the speed of the USB 3 port is helping? All merely speculation and my opinion of course, but that's my experience so far re the levers. As to the re assigning the controls before each flight, its quick to accomplish in less time than it takes to check the flight controls.Hope this twopenneth adds to the discussion. Thanks for the aircraft. Looks to be one of the best X Plane models so far! (Dc3 excepted of course;-)).RegardsDavid Quote
