Goran_M Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Thought I might start a new thread instead of continuing it in Javiers forum.Got these new images in my email.Once again, I have to say it is not me making it.
dan Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 What with all the secrecy, and why wont the developer come forward? ???Anyway... Extremely nice model ;D
Goran_M Posted March 3, 2010 Author Report Posted March 3, 2010 There's obviously a reason for the secrecy. But all will be explained later.Goran
woweezowee Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 that's absolutely starting to look like something really good!I don't mind the secrecy as long as I have the impression that there is great progress done. Just come out whenever you're ready, whoever you are .
Jack Skieczius Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 i sure wish i was working on that. hehe.ah well, someone beat me to it.
MaidenFan Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Will this plane have a detailed 3d cockpit? I bought one a while back and it had a terrible 3d cockpit.
Xflyboy Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 Looking good!I would LOVE a HD-DC-3 with a full 3D HD cockpit to boot!
AnonymousUser68 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 X-plane 10 is the answer (I think)
Kesomir Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 as in one of the default planes? If so - awesome!
AnonymousUser68 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 I think so have a look at this vid (Not Mine) Its just X-plane 9 with some xp 10 standard aircraft, look at the shuttle cockpit!. It says between thanks giving and Christmas. I'm Auzzie and I dont know when thanks giving is.\To prove Lamier have lifted their game with default aircraft watch this! (Not Mine) Andy
Cameron Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 as in one of the default planes? If so - awesome! No, the above aircraft is not part of the default aircraft lineup.
AnonymousUser68 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Damn. Well after you have said that at least I know it will probably be sold through X-aviation.
Goran_M Posted September 18, 2010 Author Report Posted September 18, 2010 A bit of news on the Twin Otter. Before you ask, this is not my project. I have been asked to do gauge animations and gauge programming only and the occasional post. I have absolutely nothing else to do with this project. There is no release date as yet. 2
eaglewing7 Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 Would it be safe to assume that this would be the DHC-6-300 series, seeing how the -400 series is using a lot more modern instrumentation (possibly even some glass cockpit style panels, but I can't remember at the moment...).
Goran_M Posted September 18, 2010 Author Report Posted September 18, 2010 The -400 gives me a headache just looking at it. Someone say "HEAVY DUTY PLUG INS"?This one is definitely just the -300 series. Analogue gauges aplenty. 1
eaglewing7 Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 If you get the chance try and read "The Chosen Ones - Test Pilots In Action", by Sean Rossiter. It has an excellent account of the Twin Otter test program, and how the chief test pilot ran the prototype Otter right at the docks in Toronto harbour, and then just as people began to get worried, engaged the reversers and pulled up like nothing happened...
Kesomir Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 *gets excited*Really want this to go with this:
glenner Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Any news on the development of this ACF? There are currently no great 3D quality Twin-Otters out there and I'm putting my hopes on this one. Is the project still alive? Thanks
Goran_M Posted April 20, 2011 Author Report Posted April 20, 2011 Any news on the development of this ACF? There are currently no great 3D quality Twin-Otters out there and I'm putting my hopes on this one. Is the project still alive?ThanksThe project is still on. The dev that's making it has had to hold it for the time being. Other things have taken priority in his personal life. I have seen the src files and it's looking very nice.
Goran_M Posted July 22, 2011 Author Report Posted July 22, 2011 Spoke to him today and he sent me these screenshots.
Pete_SMS Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 I really like it. Besides historic/iconic aircraft, I love bush flying....and the Otter can be had with analogue gauges, without fancy avionics
whiskeyportal Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 SWEET, looking very nice. Lots of great a/c in development these days
namaui Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 Lovely model. I have an idea of who this mystery modeler might be, I'll be waiting to find out if I'm right.
