  1. not sure how I did that, but yes it was missing. That fixed it! Thank you sir
  2. 32 bit The JS31 is working fine though
  3. The X-Aviation watermark won't go away on any of my x-aviation aircraft. In the CRJ the panels are also dark. I'm not given the option to re-register them either. I was thinking it may be a possible Gizmo issue? Everytime I tell Gizmo to update it gives me this error "Repository error. Try again later: [string "..."]:2:unexpected symbol near '<' " Not sure if this has anything to do with my issues. Anyone come across this and found a fix or have a suggestion? Thanks
  4. Alex gave me this link to the latest mesh files soon to be released. http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?searchid=24099976 so they sohould have the missing water data. Looks like they're the same files wim1976 posted in his link. Thanks
  5. All they keep saying is soon. I'm not trying to start an internet war with you at all. You brought yourself into my question. I simply asked how to get a hold of Ben, which I did. I was just stating my frustrations with their update process. They have posted many many times that the OSM updates were coming and they keep postponing them. As for my supposed "experience", I have a degree in GIS with over 10 years surveying experience. I have been a cartographer for the last 8 years using ARCGIS and AutoCAD. Not sure why you would question my experience in GIS data, but there it is. Seeing as I got the answer from Ben I was looking for my part in this thread is done. Thank you.
  6. We've been waiting for well over 2 years for these promises to come to fruition. I regularly farm data from OSM and it is NOT a complicated process. I do state wide datasets at a time and it only takes a few hours, if that, to harvest this data. If whom ever is in charge of doing the OSM updates can't do it because they're dealing with bugs then Laminar needs to hire additional help, or give the user the ability to update their own sim. I'm sick and tired of excuses. Just give us what was promised. A realistic sim. Seaplane bases with no lakes to be found certainly are not realistic.
  7. 1.Updated water areas 2.Ability for user to add water .shp files 3.SEASONS
  8. How does one get a hold of Ben? I've been flying a float plane around AK today and there are HUNDREDS of lakes missing. I'm a cartographer for a mapping company and nation wide high quality water area datasets. Since XP scenery developments absolutely blow when it comes to adding/editing water I'd like to see if it would be possible to get data to him so XP could have these lakes. The part that really sucks is that these airports are listed in the sim as seaplane bases, but there's no stinking water!! They show in OSM so I don't know what method is used to farm the data, but something needs to be done.
  9. So when I try and uninstall the uninstaller fires up for a second and only gets about a quarter of the way done then goes away changing nothing and now XP won't start. I also tried going through windows and uninstalling from lists of programs with no luck. Tried reinstalling and it freezes and the only way to close it is to restart my computer. I tried running the xplane updater hoping there might be a beta with no luck. Other than a complete XP reinstall is there another option?
  10. I have DEM data at 1/2 arc second I could throw in it along with my lakes. That's really too bad that XPX is so limited. I'll keep on my search for materials on how to do it to test it on a state. V9 survey grade water is better than what XPX is offering IMO. Edit: Even if I export my .shp files into OSM format I can't use them in XPX?
  11. I just downloaded the newest version of MeshTool in hopes of converting some of my water databases into X-Plane scenery. Problem I'm having is that there is no goo manual for this tool that I can find. I see that it's a command line program, so I'm assuming that I simply drap and drop my .shp files into the program? What attributes do I need in my .dbf so that it'll know what I want it to do? Does anyone know of a good tutorial or a walk through so I can get my feet wet? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  12. I was asking because I haven't upgraded my system to 64 bit yet
  13. Well, product looks amazing on the previews and I bought it not paying attention that it is 64bit only, and I'm running 32 bit only sim computer. So my question is; will there be a 32 bit version?
  14. That's a great idea, if I can't find a way to do it myself I'll have to do that. I tried the OSM thing with several HUNDRED missing lakes and rivers in Montana. I just checked and they're not in the sim
