  7. Hi, Apologies for the delay in replying. I have done some extensive tests, and the following are my observations. Sounds: * I checked my sliders in X-Plane - all maxed. I discovered my headset was set as system COMMUNICATION DEVICE, and not HEADPHONES. This seemed to make a minor difference in quality due to the max bitrate of the output. * Nose gear RETRACT sound - this only plays ONCE! Once you have taken off and retracted the gear, it NEVER plays again unless you land, AND THE NOSEWHEEL TOUCHES THE GROUND. I'm assuming there is some air/ground logic tied to the nosegear, and for some reason the gear retract audio is dependent upon the aircraft having been on the ground. You can replicate this by flying around and just cycling the gear. Extension plays always; retraction only plays on the first retract cycle since being on the ground. * AP disconnect sound is practically inaudible, even with headphone volume turned up and being deafened by the engine noise. * Wind noise is extremely quiet if it is present. I flew at 300 kts and couldn't discern any difference in noise. DME: * DME speed and time display - this is bugged. It works as expected as long as the aircraft trajectory is in the 180 cone flying AWAY from the station. As soon as the aircraft has any closure rate with the station, the DME speed/time reads zero (e.g., flying directly towards the station still reads zero). Flight Director/Autopilot: * HDH mode - I checked real-world docs, and it should roll to wings level THEN hold whatever heading it is flying the moment it reaches wings level. It is NOT a simple wing-leveler; if the aircraft is disturbed after this point, it will roll back to the heading it was on. The bug is that it is capturing the heading at whatever moment ANY flight director or AP mode is engaged. This is the part that is not correct. For the avoidance of doubt, the sequence of events for HDH mode is thus: * HDH mode (e.g., all FD and AP modes DISABLED). * Aircraft is flown with e.g., a 20 degree left bank * AP is engaged. * ALT HLD engages, and HDH becomes the active roll mode * Aircraft at moment of activation is passing 210 degrees heading * Aircraft should roll to wings level, at say 200 degrees heading * HDH should enter heading-hold submode at wings-level on 200 degrees, and not any other heading that was present prior to this. HDH mode should "forget" the heading it was on when the AP is disengaged. Upon being re-engaged, it will again roll wings level ONLY, and THEN hold whatever heading it is on at that moment. The roll knob will operate as it currently does as this is correct. Confirmed working as you describe: * GPU generator (seems the default setting of 800 A is already sufficient to prevent volt drop during start) * Battery overheat * Engine fan - I compared this to several videos on YT (yes, I'm aware of the problems of sound recording and YT compression), and it sounds very similar.

  10. You can reset any saved popup locations by deleting "popups.cfg" in X-Plane 12/Aircraft/X-Aviation/ <citation 525> / plugins/cj_systems/settings.

  13. Reloaded the aircraft but problem remains. Also the master caution is on and cant be extinguished. I have both types of GTN and they work fine in all my other aircraft. The only ones with problems are the SR22 and the 525. Is there a pattern here?
  14. With the 1.0.3 update the 750 screen controls dont work. Everything works via the popup window but not on the unit in the panel. when the plane loads the panel 750's come up but pressing the continue button does nothing. If I press the home button it activates but nothing works. Any idea what may be causing this bizarre behavior.
  15. Using version 1.0.3 of the CitationJet 525. I have used this Garmin add-on in other aircraft successfully, but the CitationJet autopilot will not couple with the Garmin GTNXi 750. I have tried everything I can think of. Flight plan is activated in the Garmin, GPS is active in the Garmin, the standby gyro is active in the CitationJet, NAV and autopilot are ON, the GTNXi 750 is chosen in the EFB and is the primary choice in the TDS menu. I've seen a video of this being used in the CitationJet, so I know it can work. What am I missing???
  16. Ok thanks for that, saves me researching it further. Seems a shame there is definitely an editable BOW. And there so much detail and so many features in the amazing CL650 I just thought maybe it edits the config. Ultimately depending on the customers specs the Challengers would come out of the factory within a certain weight bracket but not every aircraft will have exactly the same BOW. And during the service life of the aircraft any retro fitting of equipment would require re weighing the aircraft and updating the BOW. But thank you for the information
  17. Doh I still got it wrong lol. Thanks for the info. I was kinda on the right track. Having 11 passengers and a stuardess in the jump seat would still be a believable scenario. I do tend most flights to stick to 2 to 8 passengers.
  18. The jump seat is not considered the 12th seat, as you suggest. Neither is the lavatory. The divan (sofa) has 4 belts, however it's not comfortable to (a) sit sideways during takeoff/landing; and (b) to be that close to other passengers on an expensive private jet, so usually it's divided into only 3 seats during cabin completion.
  19. Nothing in the FMS, defaults or otherwise, changes the physical characteristics of the aircraft.
  20. I seem to have 'lost' the popup panel for AP Main Control panel. It doesn't appear no matter what. I think it is something to do with me changing my multiple monitor config but changing it back doesn't work either. Does anybody have any idea how to get it back!
  21. wizzball callout speeds have changed i can hardly hear them. Script file show vol .70 no mater what level i change it to it make no difference in the output. I have been using if forever. what can i do?
  22. This was bugging me for a while until I came across the answer. It says in the manual and all the simbrief profiles that the challenger 650 carries 12 Passengers. But there only 11 seats, unless you count the loo. But who will want to sit in the loo during the flight. I didn't want to seem stupid by asking on here, so I just excepted it was probably a configuration thing, and our challenger was configured for 11 passengers. I even edited my simbrief profile for 11 passengers. Then I watched a YouTube video of someone showing around the cabin of a real world CL650. And in the galley they opened a cupboard and pulled out a folding seat. When in use it can face forward just behind and in the middle of the pilots acting as a jump seat. Or it can face the rear of the aircraft to accommodate a stuard/stuardess. I don't think a paying passenger would be expected to sit in this seat, but it would provide seating for 11 passengers and a stuardess. If anyone is really interested to see the video I could see if I can find it and put a link in this thread We learn something everyday. It's just a small point but it made me happy and it cleared up a mystery.
  23. Hi everyone I only came over to xplane from fsx a year ago. I am trying to find the equivalent of the aircraft config file for the challenger so I can see for my self what is happening behind the scenes with regards aircraft weights. I have a theory that changing the BOW in the FMC defaults will update that airframes BOW (not all airframes are precisely the same). But I can't check my theory unless I can see what is happening to the airframes weight and balance in detail. Thank you in advance
