Sound issues on 1.1.6

Recommended Posts

Sound is cutting in and out every 5 seconds or so... quick blips, anyone else having this issue? Frame rates running around 30fps.

Update:  Seems it was on my end with headphones..reboot and speakers work fine.

Hello,

I am experiencing the same issue like you. I already planned to create a separate topic on this but now you have already done it.

Regards.

Hi, same issue here! :/

Just bought the plane yesterday. Things I tried already:

- fresh install of xplane & TBM

-all drivers up2date

-switch from Onboard Sound to dedicated Soundcard

Running on a i7 4790k | 32GB RAM | 500gig SSD | RTX2070

I'm getting a similar thing, the sound kind of pops like it drops out for a mili second then comes back. Never had this before on the old version. Sounds like the sim pauses for a split second but its not pausing.

Same as usual, guys. Remove all plugins except Gizmo and try again. I can see a lot happening in the logs. Give it a try so we can do a process of elimination.

Same here. I did get better FPS by removing plugins and scenery, however the audio issue is still there. It seems like an audio balance issue with the wind noise. If environmental noise is turned way down or off, the issue is less noticeable.

Guys, we can’t help without seeing log files. If you are still seeing problems after removing plugins, repost the log file.

In most cases, with stuttering sound, it’s down to performance or scenery loading. Try loading the TBM in an area without ortho scenery and see if it keeps going. This is something we cannot reproduce on our test machines, so it’s proving difficult to nail.
