Ah I see, that's a delimma. I guess you have no choice but to purchase the 777. This 777, and the FF777 V2 will be for XP11 only.

Not stopping from you from buying it. It's a freeware project and shouldn't be pitched against the FF777 . I say wait for FlightFactor's upcoming 777 v2 if you want good systems (and hopefully an accurate exterior).

Hey ya'll! Hi everyone! The X-Plane Developers Community's Workshop website is now a public wiki, everyone is allowed to contribute to the site. Please feel free to add to the site! (i think you need a google account) It's meant to be a controlled platform where I and a bunch of writers would document, but alas time is money, and most of us can't actively commit to the site. I'll try my best to maintain consistent quality and graphics after each contribution, making it easy to read with diagrams and visuals. Hi Yann, Our attitude has always been to get the aircraft out for everyone to enjoy, and our "disappointment" in being unable to simulate avionics has been embraced with our sister brand, our sarcasm and self-depreciating marketing aims to -attract- not detract interest. The project *is* mediocre in terms of system modelling, and we;ve been brutally honest with that since the project;s announcement. BUT it is by no means compromised in any other areas of the add-on. There is little to show as most of our progress is done within Plane Maker and of course the WIP 3D Cockpit... Our Flightmodelling is going to be top notch as we have a new developer who is refining our (or rather, basically redoing our flight model), and at its current stance: our flight model complies with what the manual describes. Our Visual modelling is also going to be top notch, taking advantage of X-Plane 11's PBR capabilities as seen previously in this thread. Lastly, "PAWDA" gives way to future possible name changes incase we do embark on an effort to bring system modelling to the 777: From "Pretty Aeroplanes With *Disappointing* Avionics" to "Pretty Aeroplanes With *Decent* Avionics"...who knows?

BIG UPDATE! So I realised that I modelled the fuse off a badly drawn 3-View cad supplied by Boeing on their website (Which I'm almost certain is the same CAD FlightFactor used too)...so the fuselage is redone and retextured (third times the charm ;_; ) and I'm going back to my trusty old -200ER. So here is the brand new fuselage with new PW4000 engines too!!

Ok guys, big update!! X-Plane 11 is out, and boy! is the new material model gorgeous. After a bit of studying the normal maps from the 737, I did some test with PBR maps myself and I got to say that this is amazingly satisfying. Its a week worth of producing metalness maps for the normals. Some more model edits includes a basic 3D cockpit model for exterior, new liveries and texture edits. Enjoy the screenshots!!

Hey everyone! BIG update: Wing modelling is wrong (looks like 200ER wings with raked wingtips stuck at the end, fuselage is too low poly in contrast to the rest of the modelling, engine shape is wrong too (GE90-95 engines from the 200ER not the 300ER/200LR GE90s). I'm redoing most of the modelling, starting with brand new engine, fuselage, and wing modelling. Landing gear has been refined with better animations and the inclusion of the 300ER specific cantilever system on the front of the main landing gears. - The textures is another highlight, with the fuselage split into 4 sections - each with 4K textures with almost every nut, bolt and rivet textured. - Engines has been completely remodelled, with new cowling that accurately reflect the GE90-115B/110B engines. - The wing is one of the biggest change, from 7 wing cuts to a staggering 11 wing cuts, ensuring an extremely satisfying and smooth wing flex. Slats have been correctly animated, flaps mechanism has been modelled and so on. Enjoy the screenshots!

Hello all! I've been wondering if anyone here will make a nice looking 777, FlightFactor's rendition was comprehensive in the systems, but not so much in visual accuracy. This is my first legitimate aircraft project, It will have a few short comings in terms of detail (but my aim here is to attain the highest level of modelling accuracy), I used Hiroshi Igami's 777 (from POSKY, they're now TDS) as a base, then redid the engines, wings etc and remapped and retextured any model thats used. UPDATE: I scrapped most of the modelled redid the aircraft, starting with the most popular choice at the moment: 777-300ER, check latest post for latest images! One thing about 777s that I like is the wing flex, and FF unfortunately didn't simulate that very well. My wing model is sliced into 7 sections to ensure a smooth and almost-seamless flex. The landing gear also is sized correctly (hehe) and isn't a 200ER landing gear (theres no wiring and no cantilever system in the front). Yes it's going to be freeware, it's a learning project for me, a project launched after being dissatisfied of FF's 777, and also learning to animate. Without further ado, here are lé screenshots for you to feast on. How will you handle additional liveries?

The american Airline livery was amusing to look at too, they made a huge huge mistake which I believe everyone can see clearly at the amount of effort they put into these "payware liveries". Instead of just the "American" its "American Airlines". -

There's always the option to not purchase products if you do not like the anti-piracy methods here although it looks as if they seemed overprotective, they have the right to protect their product in which they poured hours and effort into, so there should be no questions asked about that. They way Cameron and the developers communicate with customers is responsive, straight to the point and informative from what I see. Lastly, this topic is about FF's 777 incompatibility issues with v10.40+ Maybe you should be the one to know how to properly interact with others instead of slapping devs with overprotectiveness accusations in a thread not even relevant. -

Greetings pilots! I'm here to introduce you to a project that I am working with my teammates, a launch of "yet another virtual airline", called Finnaviation-an airline with roots from the original Finnish carrier, absorbed into Finnair. We've incorporated several features that enhance the way you fly, and these features require a lot of explaining, but to keep this short: This is a Virtual Airline that follows a different route than most other establishments, because we focus on other areas besides the typical "custom system, new website" gimmick thrown at the user upon clicking at the VA's website link. Instead, we treat Finnaviation as a product, which means we build and develop our airline centric to the needs and wants of pilots. Focusing on developing a system that allows pilots to experience the most out of a flight sim is what we're always aiming for. A pilot-centric Virtual-Airline System, also means a personalised experience-which is what we offer unlike your typical VA support. So everything from your personal handbook, to our method of supporting the issues pilots are experiencing in Finnaviation is handled more face to face, rather than solely relying on support tickets. In addition to personalised experience and a developed system, we are going to introduce 3D modelled cabins at a later stage after the launch of Finnaviation, pilots are able to fly their aircraft with our designed cabins, so add-on aircraft with modelled aircraft interiors (that are part of our fleet) would have a Finnaviation designed cabin, pilots can explore the interior in-sim. With 3d cabin modelling for pilots to experience, we would seek to introduce a custom programmed ACARS app that is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux used in X-Plane and FSX. And lastly, training, we love to provide useful material to our pilots so they could learn to fly their favourite aircraft properly, so our training documents are appropriated versions of real-world documents, the documents are designed to support several aircraft add-ons from both the X-Plane and MSFS platform. These are just some of the features from a list that includes so much more.
