  1. Probably not for everyone to try, but the option is there, should you change your mind. Worst case scenario, you have to reinstall.
  2. We appreciate every single customer who purchases the TBM, or anything else either myself or Saso has been involved in, but updates can take a week, a month or even a year. It all depends on what is involved, and in this case, the only thing holding us back, is Vulkan and its interaction with the rain effects. And that is, somewhat understandable, seeing as Vulkan still has some bugs in it. The ILS is fixed, and it has been fixed for quite a while. It was one of, if not THE first thing to get fixed for this update. As soon as the rain and ice effects get fixed, the update will be considered finished, and will be added to the store. On a somewhat similar note, I sometimes go back to the example of PMDG taking 18 months to come out with an update to their 737NG, for an obsolete sim, that was nowhere near as complex as X-Plane. Keeping in mind, they had a team of 14 developers when that was being done. I can understand the frustration you, and many others have, but we are equally, if not more frustrated at the inconsistent reports from testers on why the ice and rain effects are working on some systems, but not others. It's not an easy issue to pin down, and several builds have already been shipped to the testers over the last few months. Hopefully, it won't be much longer.
  3. With all due respect, we're aware of the new AIRAC cycle. And there is no gauge for an "excessive" amount of time. Especially with 200+ testers. We're working on it as hard as we can. Remember, it was Navigraph who made the changes we need to make fixes for. Not the other way around. I sometimes wonder if anyone has complained to Navigraph for what they have done.
  4. As far as the workaround, I haven't tried it, so I can't comment on it. My X-Plane installs (I have 3 of them) are specifically configured for add on work. You could try adding another X-Plane install on your PC for minor testing purposes. There won't be any problems with DRM from either Laminar or X-Aviation if you do. The update is still being worked on, albeit with some hurdles. The official word from Saso regarding the update (which includes the ice and rain effects): "There is a rain effect issue where the higher levels sometimes don't work for some people on Vulkan and sometimes they do. There doesn't appear to be much of a sensible pattern in when it does and when it doesn't work." There is no point releasing an update now, with broken ice and rain, because of its potential, unpredictable nature to cause crashes. We want to get this out as urgently as everyone wants it out.
  5. I might have a list somewhere, from a time when someone else asked me for it. I'll get back to you.
  6. And to you, too
  7. This is definitely out of my area of support. Just wait for a response from X-Aviation support.
  8. This is definitely an activation problem. Make sure you also don't have any firewalls blocking your connection to X-Aviation.
  9. I'm going to link Saso to this thread to see if maybe he can figure out what's going on. This isn't happening on other systems, and I just tried it on my system, and all is fine. You should get a reply within the next day or 2.
  10. The activation is strictly email and password controlled. If you can't activate it, and all folders are in their correct locations (ie. you haven't reinstalled the TBM into some other kind of custom folder location), then I'm at a loss. You could try to reset your X-Aviation password, and then entering that into your activation pop up, but other than that, it's beyond me.
  11. There are some things wrong with your TBM install. The log file is saying it cannot find the state folder, which controls the message you are getting. When you installed the TBM, did you point the installer to D:\Xplane11\X-Plane 11? Or D:\Xplane11? The location of the X-Plane 11 folder is very important when installing the TBM because it installs other folders in that directory, and if those folders are incorrectly installed, you will have issues. Do you have anything in your D:\Xplane11 folder (1 level up from the image you posted)?
  12. We don't handle license issues in the forums. They are taken care of by the X-Aviation store support, so you will need to go there. The only thing I can suggest from our end is you double check your password.
  13. This is concerning me. I found this in your TBM900 log... D:\Xplane11\X-Plane 11\\Output\TBM900\state\ Do you have an X-Plane11 folder INSIDE another X-Plane 11 folder?
  14. For systems explanation, I'm not really the expert on that. Feel free to jump in our discord, and you'll find a TBM mechanic and a pilot (who doesn't really frequent it that much anymore), who can answer your questions on the finer details of the TBM.
  15. The HUD does not work in Vulkan/Metal yet. An update is being worked on which has addressed this. For now, the only way to see the HUD, and also the rain and ice effects, is to run X-Plane in OpenGL.
  16. It's very hard to tell what happened, exactly...but it does appear to be electrical in nature, given you have enough fuel. In which case, if it does happen again, make sure you check absolutely everything, including circuit breakers.
  17. After looking at 1 thing in your screenshot, and doing a search in your tbm900 log for 1 word, sure enough, found this. You were flying on battery power until the battery went dead, and provided no power to the engine. Somewhere on the flight, you tripped the Main generator. It may very well have been worn, or the circuit breaker popped.
  18. I just checked, and all is working as it should on my end. Could you post screenshots of what it is you're seeing, so I can get a clearer picture?
  19. If it happens again, can you post a TBM900_log.txt file
  20. Emergency lighting isn't modelled at this time. We might add it at a later date. Not sure if it's going to be part of the upcoming update.
  21. It's definitely not something we can reproduce, but the note has been made, and we'll see what can be done about it in the update.
  22. Are the chocks in?
  23. You are missing something in the shut down. Are you turning off all electrics after shutting down the aircraft engines (including the crash bar)?
  24. Seeing as the questions about the ILS keep coming, regardless of what is posted, it appears I will have to keep responding. The next update involves more than an ILS fix. The ILS was not broken by us, but a change that occurred in 11.50b2. We have fixed it and it is working correctly in the beta, which now has over 200 testers. There are still some minor issues with librain (the rain and ice effects), and the update will not go out until all current issues on the list are resolved. I can appreciate that people want this ILS fix, but there's no point putting out update after update, without fixing everything that needs to be fixed. And these are mostly Vulkan/Metal issues now.
