  1. My laptop is temporarily out of action. Should be resolved in a week. Two at the most. Then I can get back to gizmo work and removing road blocks so these guys can finish up.
  2. Having issues with your 15" 2010 Mac Book Pro? See here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4088
  3. Yes you can. Want a precedent? Alcohol.
  4. Bullshit. Do some research.
  5. "I won't buy anything with drm" ...vendor... "I won't buy without a demo version." ...there is no winning move.

  7. Just want to say WELCOME to the forum, I read a thread of yours on the Org and look forward to watching you pick X-Plane apart with your critical eye. Sent from my iPhone.
  8. X-Planes weather is controlled by three layers of values. The dataref's you're trying to use are an "aircraft local" interpretation of the layers. Use these to "set" the weather: sim/weather/ wind_altitude_msl_m[0] wind_direction_degt[0] wind_speed_kt[0] shear_direction_degt[0] shear_speed_kt[0] turbulence[0] You will notices that the dataref names contain what looks like array specifiers. These datarefs are definitely NOT arrays, they just have poorly selected names that are a historical artifact of X-Plane. I'm fairly sure the lowest weather layer is controlled by the datarefs that end in [0]. If not, try the others in the set. ([1] and [2]) Hope that helps.
  9. Last time I checked the datarefs for wx were writable, but they had strange naming conventions. Can you post the names of the drefs you've already looked at?
  10. I'll be grabbing a Windows copy of this so I can replace my Mac PPC versions with the Intel version running inside VMware on Windows 7. I expect this too be significantly faster than the PPC emulated route. It also means I'm finally free to upgrade my Mac OS version to something more modern... (eventually)
  11. Plenty, if you'd bothered to read the links provided.
  12. Just open it and save it again. Doing this updates the .ACF file to a format that XP10 can read. If you break it, download the zip and start again. (Don't worry about new names.)
  13. Anyone see Dubais $23M christmas tree a few years back? Talk about missing the point...
  14. Ahh, but the fee for Gizmo was optional. The bottom line was that the vast majority of users were annoyed at having to pay anything additional over the retail price, they wanted it all inclusive.
  15. Gizmo 64bit progress and news: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/topic/4238-gizmo-64bit/
  16. "Just" an update that was released at the same time (more or less) that X-Plane went 64 bit. Gizmo is being updated to 64 bit. Patience.
  17. You thought they would've learned after all the bitching and moaning they did about users having to pay extra for Gizmo when it was powering the Q.
  18. Dear iPhone, thanks for killing my formatting.
  19. Googles security summary has been updated. This is definitely NOT A FALSE POSITIVE. Quoted; These files are possibly buried in the download manager library of user uploaded files. IF IN DOUBT DO NOT VISIT. edit: formatting restored.
  20. Very strange, info summary reports 0 for all categories, but Chrome wont let me actually load the page without the warning seen in Gorans post. Warning has also been reported by other members of the X-Pilot team.
  21. More info: http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.x-plane.org%2F&client=googlechrome&hl=en-US
  22. Update your browsers people.
  23. Don't bother asking. This is standard practice across nearly all games. Been on XBox live or PlayStation network lately? If you're not playing the latest patch then multiplayer is simply not available and you're signed out when the game starts. If you want cross version multiplayer use PilotEdge.
  24. what is this "fly" you speak of?
