  1. any of you get online flying in shared to work? in x-ivap it just doesnt appear to work. While this works flawlessly in fsx/p3d, the ivai won't let the 2nd ivap client connect. Seems to be an aknowledged bug/limitation. For now this only leaves the option of only one pilot connect to the network, which is kind of a non solution. The other has to manually connect to the TS2 servers along the way, and won't see online traffic. vatsim is the same. A shame XP userbase is too small still, no one seems to care about these shortcomings at this time.
  2. PS: the super secret and nowhere to be found secret (did I mention secret?) authorisation code the be used when trying to register on the actual smart coplit forum, is a really good way to keep simpletons like me away For the life of me, I can't find any secret auth code.
  3. Ok cool. Ill try to be there @ 20.00 and open the fsx fra ts3 so we can set up the ip stuff and port forwarding. I use the latest smart copilot. The version without weather. We will just use the ivao weather then. (Rwc to 2nd setting). Eham-eddf would be a nice hop. But we can do something else too. -roland
  4. no one eh? Fine, be that way, I went alone! u totally missed this Could have used a co btw, approach forgot me and made me overshoot the ils so i continued by hand. You really miss a co then. 2nd chance tomorrow eve requirements latest smartcopilot cfg IXEG 1.03 preferably fsgrw, not sure if server pushes the weather to the client alright. (no biggie if u dont have fsgrw, we use ivap weather) I use fsgrw with the 1 time static weather d/l (this gives me no hickups during flight, and not much changes in 1 hour anyway) smartcopilot2 port forward in router to your pc ip (really simple to do, i can explain in ts3 if need be) cold/dark 733 start preferably x-ivap for the atc from ivao TS3 for internal chat (i use a server called FSX FRA, which is almost always empty and make a temp channel there with pw) vodka (or beer/wine if that's your thing)
  5. Nice short flight from eddl to eham, this view on climbout. With realistic views like this and the most realsitic 733, XP is getting all my sim time now. Great work guys!

  6. Anyone want to go at it saturday eve from 2000 amsterdam time?
  7. I see the merit of it, albeit in specific situations like taxi out under 15 minutes from getting in the cockpit. I'm just slightly concerned that these kind of wishes (this instant align thingy beeing the lesser concerning btw) will compromise the realism in the end. Pretty soon ppl start going: "but you put in the instant align option when the other guy asked, so why won't you put in this and that, because i only have 5 minutes to sim each day/ other compelling reason." I guess I'll just have to hope the team stays true to the concept they started.
  8. This option is there already. It is the turn around state setup. Silly first world problems and wishes Really..... No offense intended, but sometimes it looks like no one is actually thinking through what they are asking, before asking. You can set up and do all procedures from cold and dark and then still have to wait a long time for the irs to align? Hats off then. Preparing the nav freqs/courses alt restrictions etc etc of the sid, review expected taxi route, fueling, route programming etc takes me at minimum a little over 15 minutes.
  9. Lol. I just thought of my first winch launch in a glider called pegase. It is french and just like the suspension on french cars, the wings are flexible. During launch i looked left....and wished for less wingflex, better yet NONE. Holy crap it looked like it was going to snap any second. Anyway, i dont get the wingflex fixation in tubeliners.
  10. I think with task manager you can see how much mem the xplane.exe is using
  11. it's a bit weird and nerdy in the beginning, but very addictive, much nicer than AI traffic. Good for task management exercise too, with all the stuff you need to readback while turning knobs etc
  12. holy crap dude 1000+ hrs.....4,5 hr flights?!!?! All hail the king!
  13. Thanks guys, for the effort you put in. Really enjoying it!
  14. Im available most evenings from 20:00 amsterdam time. I fly ivao and usually 1 hr flights max. Lufthansa livery. I use port forwarding in my router instead of hamachi. Port forwarding is really easy. Works best if you give your xp pc a static ip. A good ts3 channel that i use is "fsx fra".
  15. I hope this thread gets pinned
  16. Put it in manual above 15k, it gets funny then. Hypoxia
  17. It was a while ago but i think i replaced a waypoint with the same waypoint, so it was well deserved. It made me laugh because i could picture a sleep deprived, hair all ruffled, frustrated Tom putting that message in.
  18. Ive run into this problem where the fmc gets frisky with me. Apparently if one is stupid enough it says "are you serious?"
  19. beta still? I downed the commercial version and installed that, SMP is on 180 days but RWC stays on 7 or so, even after complete reinstall XP. It's not that big of a deal btw.
  20. i reinstalled xp, it works so far. Now trying plugins
  21. This isnt the place i know, but xp crashes on startup with smartcopilot. Does anyone know if this a known thing/ easy fix? -roland
  22. try to fly without virus scanner, or at least exclude the XP directory from active scanning, if you havent already done so
  23. Second that! I am not a fan of these unrealistic adjustments. Any day now you guys will be adding a button to set the barometric pressure, fsx style Jan, plz resist, don't give in!
  24. any word on this? edit: i did (cant remember) i think update gizmo64 before i knew users shouldnt do that, see post. is this a problem?
