  1. The METAR report that caused the crash has already changed, so if you're still experiencing this, deleting your METAR file(s) and restarting X-Plane should clear things up for now. The root cause of the crash has been identified; once again it is a bug in the METAR parsing code we obtained from NOAA. The entry this time comes from one of my favorite places, ironically enough - Whidbey Island in Washington State: KNUW 091053Z 12004KT 1 3/4SM BR FEW010 08/06 A3038 RMK AO2 VIS 1/2 That final VIS 1/2 is what threw it off. I've coded up a fix for this case and will see if we can squeeze it into the forthcoming SMP 3.3.2 update to ensure this particular case doesn't happen again.

  2. Hello, IXEG pilots. After almost a year of development, I am close to finishing beta-testing of my iOS application for this great plane - iGoDispatch for IXEG's B733. This is a planning tool that includes a range of options, such as : creating a flight plan and uploading it to FMC as a co-route; estimating the required fuel taking into account X-Plane winds aloft (the first release will take into account winds aloft in US and the update is intended to include the grib wind data to be available in X-Plane 10.50) ; loading the plane with passengers, cargo and fuel; estimating and dynamically adjusting the CG offset during the flight; monitoring the flight on the map; creating a report on your flight performance; adding in-flight public announcements in 7 languages. I intend to release the iPad version of the application by end of summer. Versions for iPhone and iWatch are expected to be released later this year. Hope it will be a valuable addition to this plane!

  3. Hi. I just got a crash with SMP 3.3.1/RWC1.0 Log.txt

  4. "Always" might be a better option for you, for now. It will basically ignore what FSGRW is giving X-Plane for cloud cover in that mode, but you'll at least have complex weather formations with no abrupt changes as you fly.

  5. I take it from the radio silence that you're hard at work on this package which I'm sure will raise the bar for XP scenery and attract even more people to this amazing sim. I'm wondering if in your next update you could show off the B/C satellite at DTW? As soon as you release the scenery it will be the new home of my Saab 340 and CRJ-200, so I'd love to see a preview! Keep up the good work and I'm seriously anxious for this scenery!

  6. We're juggling a few things at the moment. But the Saab does have top priority in what we are working on.

  7. > Is it possible to add an option to override whatever XP is telling you? Well, what you've got me thinking is whether we should always treat the visibility setting as a lower bound for the cloud visibility. That is, retrieve both values from X-Plane and use whichever one is higher. I think that's a good idea for SMP 4. > Also I assume you are doing some type of interpolation between METARs? SkyMaxx Pro doesn't do anything with METAR data directly, but if you also purchased Real Weather Connector, then we do. Cloud systems do tend to have distinct boundaries, so I lean away from blending the reports together and try to preserve those frontal boundaries. If you prefer your weather to be more uniform, you might consider using FSGRW together with SMP/RWC - we'll honor the weather data it outputs, which is more blended.

  8. Rodeo. I have to admit, I do not know whether and to what extent, it is compatible with iOS emulators. From what I am reading about iPadian, it is only good for a number of applications and not for all. From this perspective, iGD was not specifically developed to be compatible with simulators. So, I cannot guarantee anything. A desktop version would be more reliable, possibility of which is, say.... very likely.

  9. The application has been released and is available in App Store (search for iGoDispatch). As mentioned before, only the iPad version is available at the moment; the iPhone version will be released later this year. Please note that the application requires iGoConnect plugin to connect to X-Plane via a WiFi TCP connection. The plugin is compatible with Windows, Mac (10.7 or higher) and Linux. The plugin can be downloaded from here: If you have an issue connecting to X-Plane, check whether the TCP Port used by the plugin is not blocked by your Firewall. The manual explains how to open the port for the plugin. The application and plugin manual can be downloaded from here: http://igoapp.ca/resources/files/igodispatch_b733_manual.pdf Hope you will enjoy it!

  10. xplana, the iWatch version will be limited; probably will only be used for ACARS. Android cannot be done this year for sure, but I would not exclude such possibility completely.

  11. Hello. After the B737 release for X-Plane , I could not resist and I experimentally linked several B737 controls to my MCP: https://youtu.be/NlWTajGvttM Note: the first part of the video is focused on FF B767 Pro.
