  1. Easily add volumetric detail using the "Noise" feature of Maxx FX (available on X-Aviation). Noise is used in many modern game engines to add a more organic, cinematic look. Works wonders in X-Plane and specifically SMP and it doesn't cost FPS. The color settings are somewhat specific to my display (Sony W905 55"), your mileage may vary.

  2. Cameron, you probably already know that but A LOT of us, appreciate the work, dedication and professionalism that the IXEG team has put into this project. We are 100% behind you guys and are very confident to see upcoming updates on this beautiful bird ! Again, thank you for giving us such great aircraft ! As an ex 737 pilot, I am enjoying every bit of it. Cheers

  3. I don't know how you bypassed the 20 year old sound engine to create these great sound but you did ! I'm blown away by the immediate spool up sound upon applying taxi thrust which I've heard often in real life as well as the high rpm fan sound on takeoff run ! Bravo ! Sounds are worth the cost of the add on alone !!

  4. I installed the latest updates for Skymaxx Pro and Weather Connector with the NOAA server updates. When I grab real weather from the web, the new METAR data goes into the Weather Connector or Skymaxx Pro WX folder (can't recall exact file name, I'm not at the Sim computer) but not into the X-plane WX folder. I can cut & paste from one folder to the other and then click "Read Weather" on the X-Plane weather page and the current conditions will appear in the Sim. Under the plug-in drop down list, I have 'update real weather automatically, regardless of what is selected in X-plane weather page'. And I still have Grab Real Weather from the Web selected on X-Plane weather page, too. But no automatic live weather updates so far. It's getting into one WX folder but not the other. Any ideas?

  5. My guess is you must have updated to macOS Sierra or a newer Beta of it.

  6. Problem of connection quickly solved thanks to Igor. I did not correctly check my IP (the numbers were very close to those of the default ones, featuring on the settings panel : be careful to check it before trying to connect the app to x-plane). Excellent app indeed ! Daniel.

  7. After clicking the weather download button on the X-Plane weather page, the METAR.rwx folder is empty or contains old data. The MAXX_METAR.rwx folder has the current data. I will look for the X-Plane 10.50rc3 update. That sounds like the fix I am missing. I hadn't seen anything about that prior to your post. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers

  8. I'm confused about what you're seeing; if you could post some more specifics when you're at your computer it would be helpful. There is no "WX" folder. X-Plane downloads METAR.rwx into the directory you installed X-Plane into, alongside the X-Plane application. If you set Real Weather Connnector to "always", then it downloads MAXX_METAR.rwx into that same directory. And that's where Real Weather Connector looks for those files. Perhaps you're seeing METAR data that's being downloaded by some other add-on? What you might be missing is the X-Plane 10.50rc3 update, which fixes X-Plane's own download of METAR data.

  11. I love the new King Air C90B in X-Plane 10, but I cannot disengage the autopilot once activated. I have figured out it should be engaged by pressing either HDG or NAV and ALT or VS, but deselecting them does not turn off the autopilot. Am I missing something on the panel, or do I need to assign joystick buttons for for autopilot and flight director engage/disengage? I also cannot find the parking brake, and may have lost it on my last landing when I accidentally enabled beta stage on short finals
