  1. Sifting through photos in the endless piles of pictures my parents took, I ran across a weirdly accurate prediction of my future obsession - I'm wearing a plane covered shirt and I am at the controls of the great B727. Just a trip down memory lane...

  3. Note for those who will be using TrackIR and X-Camera: Disable TrackIR in X-Plane, as X-Camera will handle the TrackIR itself. The positives of this is: * If you forget to start up the TrackIR software before starting X-Plane, you do not need to restart X-Plane. Just do ALT-TAB, start TrackIR software, and then disable and enable X-Camera plugin in the X-Camera menu in X-Plane. * You may disable or enable TrackIR in different views and profiles. X-Camera also supports the plugin Headshake, which makes your head wobble a little in turbulence. This may also be disabled in selected views in the X-Camera control panel. Edit: When you have tried out TrackIR, you will never go back, I promise!

  5. We did use something similar when we developed the electrical system for the Saab. However, the Citation is being developed with an entirely new software framework and the systems will be even more deeply simulated than the Saab.

  6. I believe IXEG's stance on these sorts of things is more along the lines of "we're trying to emulate the real thing, within reason, and there's a fine line between providing concessions for sim use and making it unrealistically convenient" and not "hey, let's just throw it in."

  8. That is what we are looking at, and have been in contact with those people. We will see how that works out after the plane is finished. Jan
