  1. Not much to tell. With the 3D very close to completion, we are focusing on the FMS. Being this is our first project and not having the benefit of being involved in FMS programming prior/leveraging others code or reusing our own existing code yet, we are having to create the FMS from scratch.....and well, it takes a while. I expect things to be very quiet on the forums for some time while we continue on this path as there will be nothing to show until its complete. I will say we are well into it though and moving along predictably. Do not think that lack of screenshots or updates of visual items means the product is stalled. This programming thing will go on for a few months yet. When the FMS is finished; however, we will begin the "wrapping up process", which involves punchlist 3D items, beta testing, document proofreading, marketing, tutorial development, distribution infrastructure and will easily take several months also. We are on the home stretch, but its a long one. TomK

  2. Hi Dwayne, I was planning to put them up as exclusives on my website as I didn't think they would warrant much interest but I'd be happy to upload them here if some other folks are interested! As for the Qatar livery, you can get one on the .org if you're able (or willing) to visit there, so I probably won't make another myself. Here's a shot of Flytampa's Dubai Rebooted to keep things relevant.

  4. Omega provided some air-refueling service to the US Navy for a while, not the Air Force. News on that HERE. I believe that Omega is still providing support to a few other nations but not to the US.

  7. I think the US Air Force still have some private contractors using them for refuelling too don't they? I'm sure we all have memories of REALLY LOUD old, proper jets. For me it was an RAF VC10 taking off at Heathrow after collecting some fuel. Concorde took off shortly afterwards, and honestly, there was not much difference between them volume wise. The VC10 produced a lot more black smoke though. You've gotta get Flight Radar 24 on your phone, if you have a smart phone, Nicola. I love hearing or seeing something cruising along and being able to find out what it is, and where it's going.

  8. There are still a few of them flying around Canada, not in passenger service, but hauling cargo. I hear one go over our house some nights, and it is very obvious when it is a DC-10, because it is LOUD. The same goes for the 727's, you always know when they are climbing out of Vancouver, because they are quite loud and have a very distinctive sound.
