  1. Check that Sky! Skymaxx Pro with "true blue high contrast". It produces a really nice pinky colour at early sunset. In the foreground I have Melbourne International with some great HDR lighting. Since 10.25 X-Plane has been running so slick ^There's the pink ^Look at the freeway tracing back to the city of Melbourne with skyscrapers in the background

  2. Absolutely, 100%...there is a DEFINITE chance you'll get this before christmas. Kidding aside, files have been submitted. Shouldn't be long. The installer is quite complex.

  5. Just wanted to share a mid week screenshot. It shows the view control of the Beaver, which is now in place and properly working. I implemented an IFR view. Just in case the sky is falling down and you really need to focus on your flight instruments. You can select this view by using the View Control or to get there fast, you just have to click on the tail number plate. By clicking on it again, you go back to the default pilot view. This view is also handy if you just want to practice you IFR flying skills.

  6. It is a false positive. When the Saab came out, others with AVG also reported a virus. It is just AVG being overly aggressive.

  7. 3saul, it's not a XPX limitation, it's just how we model the clouds. There is a slider in the SkyMaxx configuration for the cloud sizes, which controls the maximum size the cumulus congestus clouds can reach. This ranges from 500 meters to 5000 meters, so cranking that up should result in larger, thicker clouds. The cloud sizes follow an exponential distribution (as they do in real life,) so it may be rare to get a really big one even with the slider all the way up. You asked specifically about cumulonimbus clouds - these are the "thunderheads" we sprinkle in the scene when X-Plane tells us thunderstorms are present. These are hard-coded to be 5KM across and 7KM tall (we really should add some randomness to that to make them a little more visually interesting - I think I'll do that now). But, these are anvil-shaped clouds and not the sort of towering cumulus cloud in your screenshot. Providing more variety in our cumulonimbus cloud shapes is something we can look at for future revisions. It's actually possible to model your own cumulonimbus cloud shapes if you have 3D Studio Max - any adventurous souls interested in trying it out should PM me for details.

  11. Mmm yes...more than one year ago if I'm not wrong... I remember at the same time I also annunced to my parents I'll be dad soon...or later...and they are still waiting... I doubt REX for x-plane will be available soon...or at least not before another 1000 add-ons for prepar3d are realized. So I think the best is to enjoy SMP now!!! And may be trying to improve it. At the moment i agree with the fact the developers could at least start thinking about something like NOAA weather INCLUDED in the SMP plugin, so we can remove python and bla bla bla...and then, may be, if is possible, a better weather injector...
