Why do you keep replying to very old posts? In my opinion, the Dash. The ATR's developers say it all. "Eyecandy Simmin". All eyecandy, second to no systems. Also, you know all those promised liveries? The only way to get them is through EPort, and they don't have all of them. After McPhat promised so many free paints, they closed their freeware section, and kept it that way for 6 months while they "transferred" to a new site. Unless you want the eyecandy, no updates, no good liveries, then get the ATR. If you want something worth $35, get the Dash... Edit- Even though the freeware site is up, they still don't have the ATR liveries. In fact, this should be in the rant section... In fact, if you want an amazing turboprop regional, X-Aviation has the best selection of the best planes. The J32 and the MU-2 may be a bit smaller than the Dash or the ATR, but they are MUCH better. (I have all 4). If you want something a bit bigger, try the An-24, or wait for the LES Saab.1 point

Connor, I completely get the appetite for more "contemporary" aircraft. I come from the FS9/FSX universe (which for the record I don't miss one lick) and slowly and somewhat reluctantly transitioned into the X-Plane world and, happy to say, haven't looked back. The most significant turning point for me was understanding what it takes for these guys, Austin included, to bring all of these excellent products to us to use and enjoy. Time and resource heavy while dealing with other "real life" matters. But the critical mass is growing and great things are beginning to emerge... In the interim, while waiting for the aircraft variety you refer to, I have been flying the following... In FSX I was a big PMDG 1900 series fan. Try JRollon's fantastic BAe Jetstream 32 (http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/jetstream-p-92.html), and to fill in the biz jet hole this Bomardier Challenger 300 (http://flyawaysimulation.com/news/4473/vmax-has-released-bombardier-challenger-300-for-x-plane/).1 point

Connor, Your feelings appear to be motivated by what you want. Think about what you're saying, especially in your suggestions. For instance, the EMB-120 is 30 years old, and you want it so you suggest it, yet the Citation II is only roughly within 5 years of age of the EMB-120. The B1900 is even older than the EMB-120, and the technology within it is even less than that of the Citation you see being built here, yet you want that. That said, assuming from your suggestions that you are a turboprop fan, the Saab 340 currently in production should really suit your desires quite well. We cannot speak for other developers. Everyone has their own choices and reasons, but you also have to remember we're in this market as a job and do so full time. This means we need to stay in business to continue to produce products. You'll note that the creations here by Goran and Co. do not just end at the Citation II, but as well as big of a jet as a 747. These products are produced in parallel, but the more advanced you get, the more time one takes to do it right, which means a lack of time without cash flow to fund these long standing products. The Saab, for instance, has been in production for over three years, and the CRJ-200 by JRollon just the same. These are not quick to assemble. There's no such thing as 90% ARF (look it up if you don't know what that means) in the X-Plane world. We also take into account the demand in the market. We've now been at this long enough to know what sells and what does not. Some will sell more, some less, some the SAME for less work in terms of time spent. All of these factors are taken into consideration. It's not so much a matter of will, it's a matter of time, cash flow, and longevity as the creator. As a developer, you need all of these things to progress forward and create more down the line. Trust me, the Citation II will sell very well. In fact, right on par with your suggestions that will take much more time and effort to produce (and that's not to say they won't be produced). Just as you feel the EMB-120 and B1900 are still relevant in this day and age, so too is the Citation II, and that is why it is in development. Someday, sometime, someone will pick these projects up. X-Plane is growing, and so are we.1 point

No, but you're looking in the right place for it.1 point

Probably not simulated, at least to its full extent. This aircraft is really just eye candy, mostly used to promote XP 10. No systems depth though, which is a shame, as that seems to be the main focus in XP today.1 point

Looks very good James!...Cant fault that set-up matey!.......But unless your filthy rich, the TITAN isnt that much faster in real terms than the much cheaper GTX 780!.....But after saying that..X-plane 10 is very hungry for video ram......so you may see a slight increase in performance if you do decide to go with the titan, though without someone doing the tests its hard to tell...... if your taking advantage of the titans 6 gig of memory........ie your using a 2560x1600 res monitor or multiple monitors...then the titan will def help assuming your cpu is overclocked! I assume you are overclocking your CPU?...preferably to at least 4.8-5 ghzs to take advantage of the TITAN?...otherwise you may be bottlenecked with the slower cpu at anything less than a 4.6ghz CPU... I use a GTX 670, 30in monitor at 2560x1600 res and a i7 920 DO steeping CPU @ 4.2ghz on air....from my own personal tests i would say if you could get your CPU at 4.8+ ghz and with a GTX 780/TITAN under the hood also then you will be in X-plane heaven.....especially with that moby and huge amount of ram! Keep us posted whatever you decide so we can all see your results.....Good luck, i always get excited whenever i build my next pc upgrade!1 point

Firstly, thank you to this guy ^^ It was driving me insane trying ILS approaches in the B744. So thank you for that observational instruction. Secondly, this might go out to JRollon. How do we control Cabin Altitude?? I keep getting blackout in flight. Is this version of the B744 just basic enough that I have to switch off the hypoxia in the Rendering settings to combat this? Or am I doing something totally wrong? That should introduce an med/advance version of the B744, now the XPlane 10 is in full swing. Bennett1 point
