Can't afford the plane? Go mow lawns for a weekend. Get the planes, and have some extra money for scenery too. Oh, and life isn't fair anyway.3 points

Patrik, Do as you seek necessary for your VA and best of luck with it. Please refrain from bringing personal issues into the forums for the future (references to gay pride, etc). You are certainly entitled to seek equality and fairness, but you must also be aware of the things you say in a public forum and the diverse group of personalities here. This is a hobby and not a political venue for these types of topics (and no, I have nothing personally against your objective). This topic is now closed.2 points

A few shots showing off NORCAL in and around the Bishop/Mammoth area! This scenery spans a massive area and is honestly a dream to fly over. Having done multiple flights in and around the area (both GA and Airliner), this is the experience in X-Plane I have long awaited for! Great frame fates, wonderful colors, accurate placement, matched runways and taxiways, and hours of enjoyment in many directions! Enjoy!1 point

Clouds that actually move with the wind. Not stuck in place like they are in 10x. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg433may9Hg&list=PL61396B7764FB1B67&index=41 point

Agree with you John.......a total change.Mind you I found the clouds in the first few editions of v10 very agreeable but they were very heavy on the fps...too heavy for some machines I fear. They were transparent from within and had density. These were from end of Jan 2012 which must have been the first update after the release of v10....1 point

AMD Catalyst 13.1 is definitely worth the upgrade as it improves X-Plane framerates from 8.4% up to 12.6%. I arrived at this conclusion after having run the command-line FPS test on XP10.20b11 both with Catalyst 12.10 and 13.1. See below: X-Plane Version 10.20b11 (64-bit) AMD Catalyst 12.10 --fps_test=1FRAMERATE TEST: time=92.8, frames=5233, fps=56.39 GPU LOAD: time=92.8, wait=6.8, load=7.3% --fps_test=2FRAMERATE TEST: time=93.0, frames=2801, fps=30.11 GPU LOAD: time=93.0, wait=7.8, load=8.4% --fps_test=3FRAMERATE TEST: time=94.7, frames=2175, fps=22.97 GPU LOAD: time=94.7, wait=10.4, load=11.0% --fps_test=4FRAMERATE TEST: time=93.8, frames=2579, fps=27.49 GPU LOAD: time=93.8, wait=7.4, load=7.9% --fps_test=5FRAMERATE TEST: time=92.9, frames=4998, fps=53.81 GPU LOAD: time=92.9, wait=13.9, load=15.0% ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ X-Plane Version 10.20b11 (64-bit) AMD Catalyst 13.1 --fps_test=1FRAMERATE TEST: time=92.8, frames=5674, fps=61.13 +8.4% GPU LOAD: time=92.8, wait=7.1, load=7.6% --fps_test=2FRAMERATE TEST: time=92.9, frames=3152, fps=33.92 +12.6% GPU LOAD: time=92.9, wait=9.8, load=10.6% --fps_test=3FRAMERATE TEST: time=94.2, frames=2390, fps=25.38 +10.5% GPU LOAD: time=94.2, wait=13.4, load=14.3% --fps_test=4FRAMERATE TEST: time=93.6, frames=2844, fps=30.40 +10.6% GPU LOAD: time=93.6, wait=8.5, load=9.1% --fps_test=5FRAMERATE TEST: time=92.9, frames=5515, fps=59.39 +10.4% GPU LOAD: time=92.9, wait=16.1, load=17.3%1 point

I do, however the J32 is my favorite! BTW, I hope the 1.0.3 version still works in 10.11.1 point

I just took a look at your products and have to say some of them look great. Especially the one that fixes the sky colors.1 point

Patrik, I haven't read your thread on your VA (where's the thread?) ... but imposing the rule of what scenery one is 'allowed' to fly through is a dictatorial imposition I would think, considering that each of us experiences the suspension of disbelief uniquely within our own mind. So what if someone chooses to help this experience along with a selection of scenery ... only each of us sees our scenery no? We can try to share this experience however it truly is unique to each of us (my green is not necessarily your green) ... and I fail to see how that would impact on the 'shared' part of the experience flying in a VA? Real Scenery guys (and Cameron) ... the scenery is effing awesome!! I will be buying it as soon as I recover from Christmas bills!1 point

So it comes to life... finally aligned the last of 74 orthophotos. That stupid square in the top right corner will be fixed upon the SECOND release of the file on X-Pilot...1 point

Chris- I think Colin is saying that even though he is using a layer group below markings, like taxiways or runways, but the polygons are drawing above the markings. Colin-Other than that, what Chris said is correct. You could also try "MARKINGS -1"1 point

They've taken a design icon that was preached as an instant classic and replaced it with what looks to have been done by a 13 year-old in Microsoft Paint.1 point

Remlap By the time you've taken the time to visit this website, typed all your questions, read the answers, retyped the same questions again, read the same answers again, then typed yet again a question on the same subject; just to have us remind you that you need to seek permission from Aerosoft before redistribution.. ....you could have finished the entire project and been flying around it by now. - CK.1 point
