  2. I recently purchased a license through my own X-Aviation account, but I’m having difficulty activating it on my computer. The activation system is indicating that my machine is already associated with a different account. The only explanation I can think of is that in the past, I helped a friend install X-Plane and add-ons on my computer using his account while I was testing out the setup. Since then, I have purchased my own license under my account, but it seems my machine is still linked to the old credentials. Would it be possible to reset or unlink my computer from any previous account association, so I can activate the product properly under my own account and license? Made a ticket but no answer for the first 24h.

  4. Has there been any announcement on when the weather radar will be available to use in the Challenger 650?

  9. Ah, finally a light at the end of the tunnel.
  10. Last week
  11. Pils, I should have posted this in the hardware section. For the longest time I had a great profile where all the buttons and switches worked. Something happened a few weeks ago and stuff stopped working. I did get a reply that showed me how to open the .json file in notepad and now I can see all the settings in the profile. Here is where I ended the weekend. I deconflicted a challenger profile that uses the Airbus throttle as a base. (This is the profile listed in the hardware section of this forum). I was able to get the thrust reversers to come on in both engines but the program treats the reversers like a switch. So when I pull them up, the reversers are activated. To turn them off, I have to lower the levers, raise them and then lower them again. More like a switch than a lever. It is usable but not preferable. Last week I could not get the right engine reverser to close and had to shutdown the sim. This profile also seems to use button 46 and 47 in assigning the Thrust Reverse levers. I found in XPLANE 12 the ATS disconnect button under the right throttle was listed as button 47. When I assigned that to ATS disconnect, I could see the Rev Thrust lever on the right engine engage. For now, I assigned a button on my yoke as the ATS disconnect and again, it works. It is just not how it was supposed to work. One big issue for me is I don't have a listing of all the buttons on the honeycomb throttle quadrant. Is that available somewhere. It would be helpful as I learn to read the .json files and see what is assigned. In the configurator and in XPLANE they list buttons that are common but not all that are available. I cannot figure out what buttons the thust reverse levers are assigned and what about the idle cutoff levers? One last issue, It used to be that I could shut down the engines using the red levers that took it to cutoff. Now those levers don't function and I have use the two buttons on the quadrant as were assigned in the profile. Someday I will get it all working and I will write myself some notes. :-) Laura
  12. I suppose I should demonstrate some form of life. I'll have to get with Jan on that as our radar (best I recall) had most of the features of the real thing. As far as "coming out soon", here's what I'll say....and this is overdue for sure....and I'm not going to convince anyone to believe me or not on the timing. It will get looked at and updated at some point. As sure as this is my 20th year actively involved in X-Plane work, it will continue to be so. A year and a half ago, things changed for me when Laminar announced its new store initiative in Montreal. I took a job with Laminar to completely rewrite its developer documentation. This was a "look to the future" for both myself and X-Plane, at the cost of 'now'. Laminar are looking to embrace a future generation of developers and we need to have better learning materials to engage this generation to develop for X-Plane, so I'm that guy....thats for Laminar. For myself, I needed more stability and a cushion, as the add-on market for X-Plane is still too thin to have any kind of long term security. Taking on this work with Laminar has allowed me to close out all other obligations and stay in the X-Plane ecosystem for the foreseeable future. The 'problem' for my customers and X-Aviation thus far, is that the initial phase or work to revamp and deploy the documentation was/is huge. New developer web site, new manual formats, a new, interactive PlaneMaker manual, lots and lots of rewriting, new illustrations...etc....and that has taken a good while to develop and received all my focus to get to what we call the "initial deployment" of the docs out the door. That initial deploy is not terribly far off. After the initial deployment, I will settle into a more regular time schedule that will afford me the time to get back to my own work. It has been my effort over the last year to try and achieve a point where I can only work on X-Plane endeavors between now and my retirment......and there have been personal hurdles along the way that are neither anyone's concern or business, but real to me just the same. It is my intention to crack open the MU2 and 737 again in early October, to resume work on my 'X-Aviation' things. I have discussed this with X-Aviation also. Between now and then I am focused on getting an initial deployment of the new docs out the door for Laminar. We will look at the IXEG radar early on for sure. I want to remain developing for X-Plane fully and it is my firm belief that this path i've taken was the required path to do so, and I apologize for the silence and delays. -tkyler
  13. Nothing will happen...
  14. Thank you very much! That was exactly it. I had deactivated the x-aviation plugin in xOrginizer and simply forgotten to reactivate it. Since I had problems with the x-aviation aircraft even before the new beta, none were installed. Now the aircraft is working again!
  15. This is a bug we have logged, should be addressed in the next update.
  16. There are multiple cases that prevent the AP from engaging, make sure the roll knob is centered on the AP panel, as well as that the gyro is not in fast-erect mode. The cases are documented in the manual that prevent AP from being able to turn on.
  17. It looks like the X-Aviation plugin isn't being found by X-Plane. Most likely a third-party antivirus software is quarantining it. Make sure to restore that plugin, and reinstall the aircraft if necessary.
  18. Ah - yes you can't have both installed and have reliable actions from them.
  19. Is it easy to use some set of instructions, perhaps the ones described in this link, to get some of the features of the new radar in the current state of the IXEG? Or, is it not worth the struggle because maybe an update from @tkyler coming out soon? https://developer.x-plane.com/article/weather-radar-for-x-plane-12-3-1/ Thank you.
  20. The solution is for the Tobii plugin to stop controlling the camera while its functionality is paused in the sim. This is a software issue with their plugin, not the CL650, which they’ve ignored for several years despite being informed by other users.
  21. Same here .. waiting for the M20R ..!! The old AFM M20 Ovation somewhat worked with x-plane 12.0.x/12.1.x but everything crashes after 20min with 12.3.0 ..
  22. Hello, I have completely reinstalled and activated the machine. Unfortunately, it only works partially! I can move the switches, but the machine has no power and cannot be charged via the aircraft menu. The fuel selection is also faulty and always jumps back to the starting position! I don't know what to do. I am attaching the log.zxt file. Strangely enough, it's similar with the SR 22. But more on that in the relevant section of the forum. Log.txt
  23. They are already there, yes.
  24. Because it has shrunk (and was publicly stated so quite a while ago).
  25. Still things to come, and you're right, X-Plane 12 is looking great!
  26. Maybe because the last update was 2 years ago?
