  4. Hello everybody Until recently I was using the LED Saab 340 on an iMac M1 and the Gizmo plugin needed for activation and the various checklists etc worked just fine. I have now updated to a iMac M4 machine and all of a sudden the Gizmo plugin does not show up anymore when loading the aircraft. I have tried a complete reinstall of the plane but with no result. Does anybody now what the problem here could be? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Daniel

    manuals

Short but important: Where are the manuals?! I've searched in vain. Apparently there are very comprehensive ones, but where?
  6. Welcome. Let's work on refining the details here. The way you describe it, I don't see why it shouldn't work in the sim already, so there's probably some step you're doing that's missing. Let's build up a specific test case so I can analyze what's going on in detail: which airport what is the original STAR+approach+runway selection in the ACT FPLN what exactly do you have entered in SEC FPLN? exactly where do you switch to HDG/ALT and what are the heading & altitude you fly then the exact sequence of button presses or mode changes you do - when do you activate SEC FPLN, what changes do you perform to the activated flight plan? crucially - what exact sequence of button presses leads to VNAV not activating as you expect it to - what modes do you expect to see? What do you see instead? Basically, I need an almost robotic sequence of steps, so I can repeat them on my machine and see the problematic behavior you're describing. Yeah, this has been on my pile of little things to fix for a while. I know the real avionics should default to inches of mercury rather than hPa, but I figured it's not a big deal for folks using persistent airframes (once changed with an airframe, it sticks).
  7. The FMS and VNAV are superb. One thing I noticed (and I do this in the real plane), if one flies an ILS or RNAV with intent to circle, I like to build the visual approach to the intended runway of landing in a secondary flight plan. I switch to HDG/ ALT to begin the circle, then activate the SEC flight plan (visual), go Direct to the RX fix, then select Nav/VNAV, dial the Alt selector to zero, (adjust with VVS is above vertical profile) then the jet flies a picture perfect visual approach (one can assign speeds to the visual fixes also to let ARS handle that). In Version 1.8, it will do this, BUT when activating it in this manner, VNAV does not work. The workaround is to build the Visual in the Active flight plan but don’t activate it until committed to circle- in this scenario it’s all there, VNAV and all. The benefit of doing it the first way is that the original approach then becomes Secondary and can be activated promptly in the event of needing the published Miss. On the request front, can we start with the Altimeter in Baro? I'm happy to answer real world CL650 questions or to beta test new versions. I have three copies on three machines- 2 Windows PCs and a M4 MacBook Pro. I fly S/N 5911- technically a 60( but with the PL21 Advanced, HUD and triple IRS/FMS.

  9. I made a ticket 3 days ago still no respons ill keep waiting but would be nice to get some info since I spent 124 dollars on the product. If I can do anything else to get in contact with them let me know, have a good day!
  10. I second that 100% ! What has been done about the new weather radar helps a lot to avoid TS and severe Turb (it was already the case with some addons before but now as a matter of fact (even if we are still in beta), it is much more accurate in terms of depiction in the skies, especially by night, it helped me twice to avoid huge cell TSRA, one flying the FF772 last update LFPO/SOCA and the other, flying the Baron 58/REP VFR ) I also recall that I've been stuck in TS/severe icing condition by night flying the CL650 and I almost crashed before regaining control of the aircraft 8000 ft below LFPQ/ENSR IVAO , a MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY was sent out to the ATC, no radar on board, the great CL650, now grounded, lost its certification based on BEA investigations "Violation of safety regulations " Shame on me! I tried to accuse @Cameron but his lawyers were stronger than mine, far enough! Otherwise I entirely understand that it is a complex addon which deserves more time to make that new weather radar fully functional, so I'll be patient! Can't wait, keep up the good work devs! All my support!
  11. Tkyler, Appreciate the update on your activities with Laminar. That is good news for everyone using XP. Look forward to your future work with the B737! Thanks! Rich Boll

  14. I would humbly argue that it does warrant an update as it is a critical feature involved in all phases of flight. That said, I know 12.3 is only in beta, and just barely at that. I do understand that it will take time to integrate this new feature into what already is the most accurate and thoroughly simulated aircraft in the market (which got to this state because it was done right instead of rushed). I'm just very excited to have a weather radar that actually performs a volumetric scan and correctly depicts what is scanned. As long as it will happen at some point, consider me happy.
  15. Hello, The aircraft is brand new, but I already regret spending the money! Immediately after setting it up, the cabin heating and defrosting cannot be operated. Even after recalibrating the pedals, the rudder still does not work! I would prefer to return the machine and get a refund. The interior also looks cheap; for the money, I'm used to much better! The missing functions are unacceptable. How can I fix this? Edit: Roll and pitch are also damaged! Edit 2: That was my mistake! Unfortunately, I started the wrong aircraft! With the correct aircraft and the appropriate joystick and throttle settings, it works perfectly. But one thing is absolutely impossible! The excessive reflections on the windscreen and plexiglass canopy cannot be turned off! You can't fly like this! I can't imagine that this corresponds to reality! No other aircraft in my fleet has such strong reflections! This absolutely must be changed. I can't fly the aircraft like this! I searched unsuccessfully for an option in the aircraft menu. Many other providers have solved this better, namely with reflections that can be turned off. Screenshots attached. It should be like the rear window! I found this: https://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/42131-heavy-reflections/ It helps temporarily. Thank you for that.
  16. Greetings, Do you have a timeline when this will be added to your creations......B737, CL650? Thanks.
  17. Any news now? Any set date on when to begin 717 work again?
  18. I cant open the paintkit in Photoshop, it says the file is not compatible with my version of Photoshop, but i have the latest version of Photoshop, can you guys fix that?
  19. Your friend broke the terms & conditions of having an X-Aviation account. They are only to be used on computers the account owner *owns*. Only via Support. Confirm you used https://support.x-aviation.com/index.php?a=add ? Please be patient.
  20. I recently purchased a license through my own X-Aviation account, but I’m having difficulty activating it on my computer. The activation system is indicating that my machine is already associated with a different account. The only explanation I can think of is that in the past, I helped a friend install X-Plane and add-ons on my computer using his account while I was testing out the setup. Since then, I have purchased my own license under my account, but it seems my machine is still linked to the old credentials. Would it be possible to reset or unlink my computer from any previous account association, so I can activate the product properly under my own account and license? Made a ticket but no answer for the first 24h.
  21. Has there been any announcement on when the weather radar will be available to use in the Challenger 650?

  25. Ah, finally a light at the end of the tunnel.
  26. Pils, I should have posted this in the hardware section. For the longest time I had a great profile where all the buttons and switches worked. Something happened a few weeks ago and stuff stopped working. I did get a reply that showed me how to open the .json file in notepad and now I can see all the settings in the profile. Here is where I ended the weekend. I deconflicted a challenger profile that uses the Airbus throttle as a base. (This is the profile listed in the hardware section of this forum). I was able to get the thrust reversers to come on in both engines but the program treats the reversers like a switch. So when I pull them up, the reversers are activated. To turn them off, I have to lower the levers, raise them and then lower them again. More like a switch than a lever. It is usable but not preferable. Last week I could not get the right engine reverser to close and had to shutdown the sim. This profile also seems to use button 46 and 47 in assigning the Thrust Reverse levers. I found in XPLANE 12 the ATS disconnect button under the right throttle was listed as button 47. When I assigned that to ATS disconnect, I could see the Rev Thrust lever on the right engine engage. For now, I assigned a button on my yoke as the ATS disconnect and again, it works. It is just not how it was supposed to work. One big issue for me is I don't have a listing of all the buttons on the honeycomb throttle quadrant. Is that available somewhere. It would be helpful as I learn to read the .json files and see what is assigned. In the configurator and in XPLANE they list buttons that are common but not all that are available. I cannot figure out what buttons the thust reverse levers are assigned and what about the idle cutoff levers? One last issue, It used to be that I could shut down the engines using the red levers that took it to cutoff. Now those levers don't function and I have use the two buttons on the quadrant as were assigned in the profile. Someday I will get it all working and I will write myself some notes. :-) Laura
