This will for sure be another ground breaking release from Maxx for X-Plane. I think Laminar should change the name to MAXX-Plane.

Keep in mind folks that not every single developer out there has infinite skills and can just churn out high modeled systems and textures from the start. We all have to start somewhere, evolve and learn from every release and apply it to the next one. I know it may not be the A330 of everyone's dreams but your not the only one JetSim is marketing to. To be honest I believe the high systems fidelity users are a minority among X-Plane and I know plenty of people that want to steer clear of aircraft such as Flight Factor, Leading Edge, PMDG and are perfectly happy with something they can understand and just fly. With a few developers that have raised the bar recently, as a community in general we seem to now have these unrealistic expectations that every aircraft from this point forward will be bigger and better then the last. Yeah it may be buggy but this is a huge learning experience for them as it is their first major release I believe. Yes you paid money for it but instead of running out back to fetch your pitch forks and torches, work with them to fix the problems. I don't like coming onto forums and seeing negative remarks about peoples hard work. You don't know their level of expertise, they could have worked very hard and did the best to their ability and I'm sure it makes their stomachs churn to read comments that could hurt their reputation. I wouldn't be surprised if we see this A330 improve over the next few updates. Just as SwissCyul has mentioned above, if I do recall, the Jar A320 had a very shaky release and took a good while for it to be where it is today. With all of that said, it would be nice if developers would start labeling their products into categories such as Lite, Intermediate and such as LES has done with the Take Command series. That way there are no surprises and you don't hold a high expectation. As sounds are important to me it did catch my eye that this A330 has a bullet point for custom sounds, only to find out from early adopters in this thread that it in fact doesn't. That can be misleading as some releases have stated custom sounds only to be referring to a few switches and call-outs to be aircraft specific and then only to use default engine sounds, which in reality, the engine sounds to me would be the most important. This should be taking more in depth to further state what sounds are custom and what aren't.

Just wanted to chime in and say brilliant well done job on this one folks. I'm absolutely loving SkyMaxx and MaxxFX together. Feels like a new sim it looks so good. Thank you!

But you have to understand that X-Aviation is in the United States, not Europe. So much like I have to wait for many odd hour releases for FSX products as the majority of them are developed in your neck of the woods, you have to do the same for the ones developed or released here in the States.

Technically only 3 others. I bought 53 computers and I'm refreshing them all.

Sorry, that was me.. I keep refreshing

It's too late... we lost him

It works great for me. I found that you must turn the speed down to somewhere in the 0.5 range - find what you like. Once you get to 1.0 or above it gets very very sensitive in X-Plane.

I'll delete that one from the list then. I think I got it mixed up with another one when I had a huge list in front of me while deciphering liveries that were there and weren't. Thanks!
-
As the Saab 340A came out of the box with an excellent selection of wonderful liveries, I'm sure there are still quite a few out there that some customers would like to see made, my self included. So feel free to add onto the list and hopefully some livery painters would like to jump in and contribute! My requests are: Corporate N384MA Lakeshore Express NWA "Albino" IBC Airways passenger and cargo versions

Okay here is what I found HDR ON and shadows: Overlay 22 FPS 3D Aircraft 19-20 FPS Global low 19-20 FPS HDR OFF shadows: Overlay 28 FPS 3D Aircraft 24 FPS Global low 23-24 FPS

I'm on it right now Cameron, I'll report back momentarily.

I'm in the same boat as the original thread starter, I don't want to be the one to complain and I understand this is a highly complex aircraft and it is definitely pushing the limits. Flies great by the way! But if you all think there may be a problem, here is what I'm seeing. My computer specs are i7 3770K @ 4.4Ghz GTX680 4GB FTW+ 8GB 1600 RAM Windows 7 64bit FPS are significantly lower then some of my other hard hitting aircraft like the 777. I'm seeing anywhere from 14-18 FPS on the ground to 19-20 at cruise. As far as the intensive frame rate hitters are in rendering options I have Texture Res at Extreme, global low shadows, HDR on at 2xSSAA+FXAA and 16x extreme anisotropic filter. Clouds at 15%. World distance detail at medium. On a side note I installed the 2GB GPU or more option first with the installer, had such bad frames and decided to uninstall and try the 1.5GB or less option and found no real difference in performance. The frames per second that I posted above are with the 1.5GB or less option.

Glad that's over with. QUICK!! Everyone over to the Citation II thread and start pestering about that! Great work everyone involved. I'll have a late night flying this beauty, installer is doing it's magic right now.
-
I think you have severely underestimated your future customers who are self proclaimed Saab experts.
-
I'm a believer in it's done when it's done. The ones who pester and beg for new info and release dates and so on annoy the hell out of me and I can't imagine how much it annoys a developer. Thus the reason why I have my extremely sarcastic signature compiled of the many requests that take place over and over.

A watched pot never boils. Patience is a virtue. Everything comes to those who wait. Rome wasn't built in a day. We must learn to walk before we can run. I'm quite sure that there is no slacking off going on right now on the X-Aviation and LES side of the computer monitor. Every bit of information about an aircraft release should be taken with a grain of salt. After all it is just an estimation. I know that Cameron and the group want nothing more then to get us all the Saab as quickly as they can. If it's not on the front page with a big for sale sign on it, then it must not be done. Simple as that.

You just got Cameron'd.

Only by accident. It's kind of like how old people drive. They aren't really sure how they got to where they are and it is nowhere near where they wanted to go. Now hours are spent just trying to get back to where you needed to be.

This is all so awesome. Sound Extreme looks to be a wonderful piece of software. I like the fact I can individually customize the sounds. Also the chart idea is great! I will use that for sure. Nice work on everything, the menu system looks to have been well thought out and designed.
