  1. Hi Fabio, I'm not at my maschine right now so I'm limited. I had a similar looking problem and solved it by deleting "the" preferences (there are a coule of pref files). Regarding assignments there is some trouble with x-assign and the saab going on. x-assign saves assignments per aircraft and this is probably the reason your assignments were restored even after deleting the x-plane prefs. The probem is (on my maschine at least) that the assignments (set 1) are auto-loaded before the saab is fully loaded. This can break the assignments and have unknown results. I'm still fighting to load my assignments into the saab, though the AP is working all fine. The author of x-assign advices to load the assignments manually from set 2 or set 3 after full aircraft loading - and delete set 1 (x-assign per-aircraft-file) to limit the problems. I think you should disable x-assign and delete the prefs after that again as a first step to see if you get the AP working in a "plain" saab. Welcome to X-Plane Cheers Flo PS: Another idea - have you tried to trigger the default "servos toggle" command in XP? In my case this interfered somehow with the Saab custom AP/FD commands... Cheers Flo
  2. OK, deleting the prefs did it. Now everything works as it should. Now I'lll dig deeper into the AP system/FD modes Cheers Flo
  3. Hi Jim, I will. But before that I'm chasing down what seems an interference between the Saab autopilot engage command and the default XP "servos toggle/servos on" command. This is definately connected to my problem as toggling the servos allowed finally to select modes as expected. FD commands now are displayed correctly on EADI - but autopilot still not flying the plane Will restart and delete prefs... Will report back Regards Flo
  4. As soon as I engage the autopilot all modes are deselected and I'm unable to select any. AP comes green but the flight director does not send any commands and the AP does not fly the plane. Depending on frequency I have a flickering red LOC or VOR flag at the bottom of the EADI. Restarted a couple of times and went through the checklists and the manual. I've no idea what's going on... Any help appreciated XP10.25, WIN7, Saab 1.1
  5. I noticed a strange behaviour of the DC AMP/VOLT selector. I'm not able to turn it from "EXT PWR" to "BAT ®" counter-clockwise. To monitor the right BAT AMP/VOLT you have to turn the switch all the way clockwise. It's possible to turn counter-clockwise in between, but once you went past BAT ® you have to go around again. Seems very unlikely to me that this is the way it is meant to be. This is for sure no big issue, just wanted this to be on the list for "if one day you have plenty of time...." Apart from minor hickups I enjoy the Saab more and more. Cheers Flo Edit: Some nasty black flickering (milliseconds) texture/object streching wildly across the aft cockpit section if looking sideways or back. Happens from all points of view and zoom levels etc. Pics below (HDR mode), shadows overlay, W7-64, NVIDIA GTX 670.
  6. That's too bad because I know LES would fix it...but I'm not sure Laminar will. Anyway, thanks for the Saab, I'm really looking forward to learning the systems and I already feel at home in the beautiful cockpit Cheers Flo
  7. Went after it as soon as the update was out. No intense testing yet but very promising and not too heavy on frames. I'll dig into the manual now. BUT what starts to be really annoying after a few minutes already is the manipulator tech that does not work well. Moving the mouse up/down or left/right leads to unexpected results and grows to a real pain when you're busy. Moving up brings numbers down and the next time it's just the other way around. Knobs stop turning at a certain stage and you have to grab them again and move all across the screen for a single "klick". I know this is most probably not LES's fault (the MU-2 has this too), but unfortunately it ruins the otherwise very good first impression. I really hope someone comes up with a solution to this as "usability" is a priority to me. Printing now... Flo
  8. I guess you are violating copyrights by using google or bing for photoscenery... Flo
  9. Well, it's going to be a head to head race with this one: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=72184 Flo
  10. As far as I know it is not planned to upgrade the CRJ - except for bugfixes and compatibility reasons. I doubt that we will see any new FMC/Systems features as Phillip is very busy with Flightfactor (777, 757) developement... I think the CRJ is a dead end... Flo
  11. No way. ATC is buggy like hell. I stopped using it a long time ago. I wasn't able to complete a single flight without ATC going completely mad. If you want ATC you have to use live online ATC (Vatsim e.g.) There are fixes "announced" for the 10.30 update (though no bug free guarantee) but ATC will remain very basic for a long time. Flo
  12. Thanks a lot guys! I'll have a deeper look into the manual, that should answer my questions. I know it's a good plane but just wan't to make sure it's not too light on systems. Cheers Flo
  13. Thanks, unfortunately that doesn't really help because there's almost nothing about the systems in it... Flo
  14. Does anyone have a "complete" feature list (animations and effects like wipers, GPU, stairs and systems modelling) of the said aircraft? Please post a link or list, I can't find one. Thanks a lot Flo

  16. It's the XP10 default 737, which is quite good btw and thus deserves to serve as covergirl...
  17. Seems I'm to stupid to understand...does that actually mean the cloud size (one cloud made of many puffs, right?) stays the same and only the puff size is different? If I would have to guess the settings just by looking at those pictures - honestly I couldn't tell... Flo
  18. Not sure what these settings do and wasn't able to find out by testing or reading the manual (the clouds are created completely new after each change and the difference isn't that obvious - at least for me). Does a higher setting of the min cloud size a) increase the size of the smallest clouds drawn decrease it c) draw a higher number of small clouds? Same with max cloud size setting... Can someone clarify this, please? Thanks Flo
  19. I had the same tearing when draw distance was set to more than 50% - but even with refelctions turned off. New installer solved this. Thanks. Flo
  20. Just to avoid a common misunderstanding: Skymaxx is NOT a "weather engine", it uses the x-plane weather engine and shares its limitations. Apart from that I agree that sky and clouds mostly look and perform way better than the default ones. Flo
  21. Hi LES team, is it still "only" programming the installer or is there other work to do for the update? I fully agree on the decision not to give release dates but I think that there could be some info about what is planned (no guarantee) for the update and what feature or problem you are currently working on. I like to think that people are able to understand that coding a complex aircraft (among other things;) is full of uncertainties, surprises and dead ends - in fact progress often means delay. Anyway - I always enjoy insight on the process, no matter what the outcome is. Best regards Flo
