  1. YSSY Sydney Kingsford Smith Intl (ISDG)

YSSY Sydney Kingsford Smith Intl (XP10)
    Sydney, Australia - v1.41
    Aug 10, 2014
WARNING: Use at Your own Risk. We assume no responsibility for blown up power supplies or melting GPUs.
    Requirements:
    - X-Plane 10.20 (http://www.x-plane.com/)
    - OpensceneryX 2.0 (http://opensceneryx.com/)
    - Texture Compression ENABLED (else you'll blow X-Plane's 3.5Gb RAM Limit)
This scenery runs around 860 Mb loaded at "extreme" resolution compressed w/X-Plane 10 Loaded.
Uncompressed, and you're into 1.4-1.5 Gb, meaning you're dangerously close to crashing XP10_32bit
    - A Modern Video Card with MINIMUM 512Mb VRAM.
This scenery fully runs at or around 512Mb of VRAM when loaded in XP10 with "very high".
I highly suggest this setting for now until XP10_x64
    - You will want to run this scenery at "very high" or "extreme" Texture Resolution, or else the effect is lost.
Sorry to the users with 256Mb VRAM or less. This just isn't going to work out for you.
Time to think of upgrading, since XP10 uses almost 300Mb all by itself, with nothing loaded.
    __________________________________________________________
SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING ELSE ON YOUR COMPUTER if you have a 512 Mb Video Card!
You will need every ounce of VRAM in your card for this scenery!
Kill any Web Browsers, Desktop Wall Paper, and anything that couple possibly use Video RAM.!
    - If you get some texture swap, look around a little bit at the beginning in all directions, and let it settle.
    - Go to External views as well, zoom far out and back in, X-Plane will start swapping out unused textures.
    - Go to rendering options, toggle between full-screen to windowed and back. For some reason, this also works for me to optimise the VRAM.

    Credits:
Many people have generously donated their time, skills, and objects. This could not have been done without them.

    - Fenriz (Many Many Photoshopped Tiles)
    - SimmoW (Photoshopped Tiles)

    - HenryT (Checkered Huts, Clutter)
    - Nickster (Radio Mast, Radar Ball, Red shipping containers, dumpsters, diggers, bollards, Clutter)
    - Skyflyer (HungryJacks, Billboards, McDonalds, Signage, Clutter)
    - Laminar for the LOWI XP9 Buildings.
    - Nerarmap.com for the Orthophotography Imagery at 15cm resolution (free redistribution and derivation for noncommercial use)

    Additional Files/Enhancements:
I highly suggest using Jack's (FlyJSim's) "über-kewl" Asphalt replacement textures found here for proper runway effect:
    Hi-Res Replacement Asphalt Textures
I also suggest the Vehicle Library Extension found here, and crank up the 'Number of Cars". Looks great!
    Vehicle Library Extension
    __________________________________________________________
    Bugs/Todo:
Still some stuff to do - I'm aware of them i.e:
    - Some Gate Markings/Centrelines aren't finished yet.
    - Certain Buildings are simply "stand ins" until we better XP10/OSX objects
i.e. "Delta Hangar" should be Qantas Hangar, and "USPS Post Office" should be Australia POST.

The Australians have never heard of this flavour, and it's impossible to purchase it here in Sydney.

    Author's Notes:
This Scenery took 5 Months of planning, editing, assembling, and a complete Team of like-minded dedicated people.
I was very fortunate to have met and worked with an awesome and talented group of individuals on this project.
My hats off to Ropeless, who was by far the most dedicated individual and "photoshopping-machine" on this project. =)
Without his tireless work and encouragement, this project would have never gotten off the ground.
This scenery is dedicated to the entire X-Plane Community. You know who you are =)

  2. Backup Scenery Library

    Backup Scenery Library
    v1.4 Feb 01, 2015
    Description:
    - Tired of facade/forest/beach crashes?
    - Get annoyed at missing a particular object in a 3rd party scenery?
    - Can't find the library online, or the library has disappeared from the downloads?
    We have a solution!
This file creates a "backup" shim library for all of the well known and well used public libraries in X-Plane 10.30. This file will allow you to load most sceneries which reference 3rd party libraries, even though you may not have the library installed. It will prevent X-Plane from crashing out if it cannot find the library.
This file covers the following Libraries:
    OpensceneryX
    RuScenery
    R2
    FF LOD
    World Models
    CDB
    Handy Objects
    People Library
    RE Library
    Flags of the world
    Madagascar
    Installation:
Copy to your X-Plane/Custom Scenery/ directory
    Notes:
This package does not include any actual objects. This does not replace actually having the true library. It will simply insert a blank object or art asset in case you do not have the actual real library, and thus prevent X-Plane from crashing and allow scenery to load without error.
This file also does not interfere if you have the actual library. X-Plane will simply ignore this file if you happen to have the actual library.
We hope you find this file useful.
    ______________________
    For Developers:
I highly suggest (and freely encourage) all of you to include this in any scenery you produce for the end-user. This way, if you reference any of the above libraries, and your end-user does not have it installed, your scenery will still work without errors. As scenery developers, we have an obligation to the end-user to make our scenery as easy and painless as possible to install and use.
This works the same as the OpensceneryX shim library. However, since many of the other libraries never included their own 'ready to use' shim library for developer distribution, it wasn't easy to add. Now, you have an "easy button". Please consider using this, and it will make your users happy.

  4. CYYZ Toronto Pearson Airport

    CYYZ Toronto Pearson Airport
    1.20 July 27, 2014 Build
    Chris K and the ISDG
    __________________________________________________________
    Preamble:
This is a generally stable build with no library conflicts; and all areas should be drivable and flyable. The ILS may be a fraction off due to repositioning of the runways to their orthophoto corrected locations, and verified with another 3rd party. It is also currently lacking ATC taxi-flow.
However, these omissions are not “showstoppers” per se.
    __________________________________________________________
    General Features:
    - Photorealistic terrain at 30cm/pix resolution as per the USGS
    - Proper Taxi Signage (was never there in any previous version of the CYYZ apt.dat it would seem)
    - Recent CAP CYYZ Charts (SIDs/STARs/RWY Approaches)
    - Repositioned most field objects to match the orthos, accurate within 15 cm +/-
    - Fixed runway markings, blastpads, and the like to reflect reality
    - Gritty ground and orthophoto texture support
    - Replacement Glideslope towers
    - Runway Stop Bar / Guard Lighting System (this is for YYZatcboy Joe How’s this for accuracy! )
Each runway entrance is protected by a stop bar consisting of red in-set lights located at all taxi holding positions.
This is the runway warning/occupancy indicator system in-use in Toronto, and will be familiar to most heavy metal pilots.
    - Build-out of industrial parks, Eglinton Ave E, Airport Road, Dixie Road, Brittania, Dixon Road, and the Hotel Strip
    - Various “Easter Eggs” with more to come in subsequent releases. (See if you can find the Tim Horton’s Coffee Shop!)
    __________________________________________________________
    Notes on the Taxiways:
There are two versions of the taxiways included in this package.
    1. Normal taxiways shown (regular asphalt, visible, drivable)
    2. Hidden taxiways (regular asphalt, not shown, but still drivable)
    - You can also turn off the taxiways (hide/show) by replacing the “.POL”files located in the “orthophotos/” directory. This will give the same effect as in our CYTZ Package; whereas the taxiways are only drawn as per the ortho, but with visible (XP generated) centre, edge, and-hold-line markings.
    - Assuming you have the VRAM to run in extreme (native texture) resolution, you can take advantage of the full photo-realistic ground effect.
    - Simply copy the appropriate files form the “/1 Hide Taxiways/” directory into the parent directory and overwrite the existing POLs.
    - To restore the regular (visible) taxiways, simply copy the contents of the “/2 Show Taxiways/” into the parent directory, overwriting the POLs.
    __________________________________________________________
    Requirements:
    - X-Plane 10.20 or better
    - OpensceneryX 2.0 (http://opensceneryx.com/)
    - A Modern Video Card with MINIMUM 512Mb VRAM.
    - You will want to run this scenery at “Very High” or “Extreme” Texture Resolution.
    - X-Plane 10.20 64-bit and 2 Gb VRAM Video card is recommended for the Highest Texture resolutions.

  5. CYTZ Toronto Island Airport

    CYTZ Toronto Island Airport
Authors: CDN 791M and Chris K of the International Scenery Development Group (ISDG)
    Version 1.0 - Jun 25, 2013
    __________________________________________________________
    Features:
    - USGS 30cm/pix Hi-res Orthophotos.
    - An Updated Toronto City Centre (Billy Bishop) Airport by CDN791M (Ed).
    - FreddyV's CN Tower Replacement Object (credits below)
    - Extensive buildout of Toronto Island and Surrounding Environs (Ontario Place, Christie Spit, etc)
    - Additional Toronto Downtown Buildings in various locations using the XP10 Art Library.
Note: this is a 100% original work for XP10 - and should not detract from Pachett's excellent CYTZ for v9/v10.
    __________________________________________________________
    Requirements:
    - X-Plane 10.20 or Better (http://www.x-plane.com/)
    - OpensceneryX 2.0 (http://opensceneryx.com/)
    - A Modern Video Card with MINIMUM 512Mb VRAM.
    - You will want to run this scenery at "very high" or "extreme" Texture Resolution.
    - X-Plane 64-bit and 1 Gb VRAM Video card is recommended for the Higher Texture resolutions.

Complimentary packages (i.e. Where is The Rest of Toronto!?!?)
You should *also* install the following:
    CYYZ Toronto Pearson Airport
    X-Pilot: http://forums.x-pilot.com/files/file/471-cyyz-toronto-pearson-airport/
    Jacques Brault - Toronto Skyline:
    X-P.org: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=17619
    1. Copy Jacques' Package into your /Custom Scenery/
    2. Inside our "CYTZ Toronto Island Airport" package is a folder called "Skyline Package - Night Lighting Textures".
    3. Copy in those additional textures (courtesy of ILMARS) to Jacque's Skyline Package's /objects/ directory.
This will give you night textures for the buildings.
    Once done:
    4. Edit your /Custom Scenery/scenery.ini file to manually position our package at the top of the .ini file
Ensure that our scenery (CYTZ Toronto Island Airport) is before Jacques (zCanada CYTZ Island ON) package in the list.
Your scenery_pack.ini should look something like this:

    I1000 versionSCENERYSCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/CYTZ Toronto Island Airport/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/CYYZ Toronto Pearson/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/zCanada CYTZ Toronto Island ON/...... other stuff...
(Note: If you don't feel like mucking about with an .ini file - simply delete your personal /Custom Scenery/scenery_packs.ini file, and due to alphabetical order on reload, the load order ends up putting the packages in the correct order).
Upon reload of X-Plane, this scenery then merges with Jacques' excellent Toronto Skyline. Due to the way the X-Plane does object overlays, the two scenery packages blend into one seamless scenery, with full day and night lighting effects.

  6. Replacement Day and Night Lighting (lights.txt) for X-Plane 10.20

Replacement Day and Night Lighting (lights.txt) for X-Plane 10.20
    Version 1.1 - Mar 10, 2013
by Chris K and the ISDG Group
    ____________________________________________________________
    1.1 Update: Added 4xSSAA, 8xSSAA Optional files
    ____________________________________________________________
    Quick Description:
    - Fixes PAPI/VASI visibility in daylight
    - Makes every light bloom stand out, looks much more like the original X-Plane 10 that was first shipped. (remember that?)
    - Fixes off-axis visibility of runway lighting as best as I could
    ____________________________________________________________
    Detailed Description:
This file makes many of the scenery-related X-plane lights much larger; making them much more visible. This fixes issues with 4xSSAA which ends up squashing the light billboards so one cannot see them at distance. This also fixes viewing night-time runway lighting at off-angles, as well as PAPI/VASI Visibility in the daytime.
This file overwrites X-Plane's built-in library of light-source definitions. It replaces the lights.txt definitions with a duplicate definition file which exactly doubles the size of many of the light billboards, in both the horizontal and vertical directions for certain lights.
This method requires directly manipulating the internals of X-Plane 10; as there is no 3rd party-friendly LIBRARY method to achieve this effect. Removal can be done by copying back the lights-original.txt file to lights.txt, or re-running the X-Plane 10 Installer/updater, which will overwrite this file when you run it, and will revert the lights back to the original XP10 default.
    ____________________________________________________________
    Which version is for you?
    There are four variants included:
    "1-lights.txt-normal-distance-bloom" / lights.txt
This file gives the best effect when using normal viewing modes, or in 2xSSAA HDR or less.
    "2 lights.txt-high-distance-bloom" / lights.txt
This file gives the best effect if you wish larger light halos at distance. It is for normal viewing modes, or in 2xSSAA HDR or less.
    "3 lights.txt-4XSSAA-normal-distance-bloom" / lights.txt
This file gives the best effect when using HDR 4xSSAA or higher (due to the "crush-the-bitmap" way 4xSSAA/8xSSAA does billboarding)
    "4 lights.txt-4XSSAA-high-distance-bloom" / lights.txt
Similar to the previous file, this gives the best effect when using HDR 4xSSAA or higher, but includes large light halos at distance.
You are free to use any of these as you see fit. I encourage you to experiment - and see what works/looks best for you.
    ____________________________________________________________
    INSTALLATION:
Overwrite the lights.txt file found in:
    X-Plane 10/Resources/bitmaps/world/lites/
    UNINSTALL:
    Re-run the X-Plane 10 Installer/Updater
    or copy in lights-original.txt into X-Plane 10/Resources/bitmaps/world/lites/
    ____________________________________________________________
    FUNCTIONALITY:
Works on XP10.20 only. No guarantees on any other version.
    Enjoy!

  7. YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal

YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal
    Version 1.1 Update
    Mar 09, 2013
The International Scenery Development Group (ISDG)
    __________________________________________________________
    1.1 Update:
    - Made city replacement terrain files "less green" by tightening the shrub overlay textures.
    - Added night _LIT textures to the city; hence nighttime flying now looks like XP9 rather than completely dark.
    - Fixed an over-sized DDS Texture - This scenery now loads in XP9 via the Compatibility Library.
    XP9 Users, you can download : http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/files/file/327-x-plane-10-compatibility-library-for-x-plane-9/
    __________________________________________________________
    Requirements:
    - X-Plane 10.20 or better
    - OpensceneryX 2.0 (http://opensceneryx.com/)
    - A Modern Video Card with minimum 512 Mb VRAM, 1 Gb is highly recommended
    - Ability to run at "Very High" texture resolutions (with compression enabled), else the effect is lost.
    - X-Plane 64-bit and a 2 Gb VRAM Video card is recommended for the Highest Texture resolutions.
(No... We're not kidding... we will use every ounce of VRAM you have!)
    __________________________________________________________
    Installation:
Unzip and place folder "YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal" in your X-Plane/Custom Scenery/ folder.
    - If VOZ is installed, then "YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal" must come before VOZ in the "scenery_packs.ini" file.
    - If you are installing this for the first time, this scenery will automatically be placed first (which is correct, and will work immediately)
    Uninstall:
Delete the "YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal" directory from your X-Plane/Custom Scenery/ folder.
    __________________________________________________________

  10. Wide Taxiway Markings Library Replacement

Wide Taxiway Markings - Library Replacement v2.0
(a.k.a. X-Plane Default Taxiway Texture Line Marking Replacement Definition files... say that 10 times fast!)
Feb 06, 2013 - Chris K and the ISDG Group
    ____________________________________________________________
    Quick Description:
This file makes the X-plane default taxiways much wider; better reflecting reality.
All Airport pavement markings look much more like their real-life counterparts.
    ____________________________________________________________
    Detailed Description:
This file overwrites X-Plane's built-in library of taxiway markings using the Library EXPORT system functionality provided by X-Plane. It replaces the Line (.LIN file) definitions with a duplicate definition file which exactly doubles the size of the lines in both the horizontal and vertical directions.
This method manipulates the library in a "3rd party developer" friendly way, by use of LIBRARY directives, and in no way overwrites any of X-Planes default files; or requires the end-user to modify X-Planes own internal files or textures. This makes it work for any version of X-Plane that supports the 800 LIBRARY system, which includes X-Plane 8.5+, X-Plane 9, and X-Plane 10. This method also allows easy installation, and is easy to delete.
    ____________________________________________________________
    INSTALLATION:
Unzip, and copy "Wide Taxiway Markings Library Replacement" into "Custom Scenery" - That's it.
    UNINSTALL:
Delete "Wide Taxiway Markings Library Replacement" from "Custom Scenery" - That's it.
    ____________________________________________________________
    FUNCTIONALITY:
Works on both XP9 and XP10; As these files didn't change (or get any upgrades to better ones) between the XP versions.
    Enjoy!
    ____________________________________________________________
    v1.0 to v2.0 changes:
As per daveduck's excellent insight, we changed from individual files you needed to manually copy into X-Planes internals by hand...........to a library-based method to replace the markings in an X-Plane "3rd party" modification friendly way.

    C77 Poplar Grove Photoreal
    Version 1.0, Jan 04, 2013
By: Chris K and the ISDG Group
This scenery was made in request from a user named Becky Lynn, who is a new XP10 user (but not new to flying!) who was very surprised that nobody had taken this cute fly-in / live-in residential airport and updated it's taxiways since the beginning of time.
I was about to walk through a quick learn tutorial with WED, but since this was a one-off, I decided to quickly update the taxiways myself. Since I had WED open anyways, I also decided to give it the "Photo Underlay" Treatment and spruce it up with some standard XP10 library objects at the same time. (Hangars, FBOs, etc.)
Took about 2 hours to get done.
    Nothing fancy.
    Enjoy!

  12. X-Plane 10 Compatibility Library for X-Plane 9

    X-Plane 10 Compatibility Library for X-Plane 9
    Dec 31, 2012 - Version 1.0
By: "Chris K" and the ISDG Group
Happy New year to All X-Plane 9 users.! Here is a gift for you..... From Us.
    ___________________________________________________________
    WHAT DOES THIS DO:
This Library allows X-Plane 9 users to load X-Plane 10 Scenery files (with caveats, see below)
    ___________________________________________________________
    BACKGROUND:
Here's something I thought about a few weeks ago; in terms of providing SOME kind of compatibility between XP10 sceneries and XP9 sceneries. I am primarily developing for XP10, and don't want to have to do 'parallel development' in terms of providing backwards compatibility to XP9. (I wish to work on one project, not two).
Instead of myself creating a "kludged" (Nerfed?) version of sceneries for XP9 (which I had done in the past to provide XP9 users something), instead I decided once-and-for-all to fix the problem at it's root.
    ___________________________________________________________
    HOW DOES THIS WORK:
This "shim" library file inserts blank objects, facades, forests, etc. where they exist in the new XP10 Library system. This is similar in nature to how the OpensceneryX "placeholder" library works, but this time we apply it to every single XP10 library object we could find.
This tricks XP9 into loading most XP10 scenery; as the library paths now resolve. The list is accurate as of XP10.20 beta 10.
I have tested this on my own scenery packages, and it works.
    ___________________________________________________________
CAVEATS / WHAT DOES NOT WORK:
You will not see any XP10 objects (hangars, gates, lights, etc.)
You will not see any XP10 facades (terminals are a big one)
You will not see any XP10 forests
You cannot use large (4096x4096) textures:
If a scenery uses a draped polygon of greater than 2048 resolution on any side, XP9 will crash out. This is a known XP9 limitation; as it was only in XP10 that texture sizes were allowed to be increased.
    You cannot use XP10-style facades
If a scenery uses an XP10 style 'custom' facade (FACADE 1000), XP9 will try to still load the facade, and proceed to crash out. I have tried the EDPORT_BACKUP trick, but it's a no go, since the file can actually be found (and still tries to use it, despite the version string).
You cannot use XP10-style Airport Layouts. XP9 Will Ignore them.
But! You *CAN* cheat!... and try to change the first few lines of the apt.dat file in a custom scenery to say "850" instead of "1000". I have tested this on YPAD for example, and it worked, despite there being custom ATC information encoded in it.
    ___________________________________________________________
    HOW TO EXTEND:
Got an object I missed? or a new facade showed up from somewhere?
Edit the library.txt file; find the "virtual" path that the scenery is using, and add the appropriate line to the library.txt file. Have a look at the text file - it's pretty self explanatory the 3 fields you need =)
Also, let me know if you found something. I'll include it in the master DB I have here.
    ___________________________________________________________
    WARNING:
This Library and associated files are provided "as is". No Warranty; No suitability of fitness for any purpose; May not even work.
    Insert standard "Boiler Plate" Here.

  14. Additional Vehicle Library Extension (XP9/XP10) ISDG

    Vehicle Library Extension v1.2
    October 27, 2012 Chris K
    Quick Description:
This file puts a lot more and different types of cars and trucks on the highways (Instead of just the 5 or 6 'default' ones).
Traffic on highways and roads look much more realistic.!
    Detailed Description:
The file extends X-Plane 9 and X-Plane 10's default library of cars and trucks. It adds additional entries to be chosen at random when X-Plane (or any scenery for that matter) requests either the car or the car_or_truck vehicle objects.
This provides immediate variety to any scenery or roadways which use the default library system (which is most of them).
This is effectively a re-posting of the file by Joyfulsongster (JeffM)
    http://forums.x-plan...&showfile=15244
However, The method I chose to use here to make this work is via a library extension, and a LIBRARY_EXTEND directive; rather than having you muck about with the internal workings of the default scenery directories. This makes it work for both X-Plane 9, and X-Plane 10; is easy to install, and is easy to delete.
    ________________________________________
    Installation:
Copy "Vehicle Library Extension" into "Custom Scenery". That's it.
    Uninstall:
Delete "Vehicle Library Extension" from "Custom Scenery". That's it.

  16. NZCH Christchurch Area Photo Scenery (XP9/XP10) ISDG

NZCH Christchurch Area Photo Scenery v1.0
    March 07, 2012 - By Chris K
    Copyright:
The Christchurch Area Photo Imagery is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 New Zealand License with Crown copyright reserved. Please read the LICENSE.RTF for further information
    Scenery Credits:
    - Orthophotos courtesy of Land Information New Zealand, used under license. (http://www.linz.govt.nz/topography)
    Installation:
    - Copy this entire directory into your "X-Plane/Custom Scenery/" folder. That's it.
    - Leave the name as "_NZCH_Christchurch_Area_Photo_Scenery" so that it loads at the correct priority relative to our other NZCH packages
    Complimentary Packages:
This scenery is designed to be used in concert with the following packages:
    NZCH Christchurch Airport Photo Scenery
    NZCH Christchurch OSM2XP Building Enhancement
    Requirements:
    1. Requires a Video Card with 1GB of VRAM if you want to use at 'extreme resolution'
    2. Requires a Video Card with 512 Mb RAM if you want to use at 'very high'
    3. Texture Compression is optional as the files are already DDS compressed.
    Conflicts:
Tested in XP10, but should work with no issues in XP9 as it's only photo polys, an airport definition (NZWG), and some forest exclusion zones.
Let me know if you do find any conflicts. (Private Message Me! Don't leave them in the comments below)
Known bugs / Stuff left to do:
Still got some white edging showing up very small on some northwest tiles
    - Some type of graphic artifact with the DDS conversion, even though Ive clipped the edges away. I'll investigate further.
There were some brightness differences in the original LINZ orthophotography. Easy to see from far away.
    - Will try to smooth out the transitions and/or change the brightness/contrast of certain parts of the imagery for better consistency.
The Orthos are not cut to line up with roads/landmarks, so it's easy to see where X-Plane scenery ends and the ortho begins.
    - will cut along a roadway line or other natural landmark in a later release, so that the transition isn't so stark.
X-Plane 10 completely missed the Waimakariri River in the underlying scenery (.DSF) generation. (The big wide river north of NZCH)
    - Although I alpha the river away to show the underlying water of the river, XP10 doesn't have any water there.
    Misc:
This was completely done in WED v1.1rc1 for MacOSX

  17. NZCH Christchurch OpenStreetMap OSM2XP Building Enhancement (XP9/XP10) ISDG

    Description:
March 2012 conversion of Christchurch OpenStreetMap Building data. Includes entire Christchurch New Zealand area and Banks Peninsula using OSM2XP 2.0.1
    Complimentary Packages:
This scenery is designed to work in Concert with the following NZCH Scenery:
    NZCH Christchurch Airport Photo Scenery
    NZCH Christchurch Area Photo Scenery
    Changes from OSM2XP Defaults:
Removed duplicate buildings that conflict with our airport scenery.
Buildings and facades changed form object density level 6 "Insane" to level 1 "Default" so they show up at base object density. This was done so that you did not need to go to "Insane" amounts of buildings in order to actually see buildings.
    Warnings:
    - This may melt your GPU, however it worked fine in XP10 on an Nivida 330M GPU w/512Mb RAM
    - including the NZCH Airport Photo Scenery package at the same time, and the NZCH Area Photo Scenery.
    - VRAM usage is approximately 900Mb at "Extreme Resolution" w/compression on - so this is suitable for modern 1Gb Video Cards for best resolution.
    - Since auto-gen object exclusions aren't working as of XP10 10.04 beta 6, you can keep the autogen objects to "1 - default" or "2 - tons" in XP10.
    Installation:
Copy the _NZCH_Christchurch_OSM2XP_Building_Enhancement directory to your /X-Plane/Custom Scenery/ directory.
Do not change the name of the directory in order to avoid conflicts with other New Zealand Scenery.
    Requirements:
Requires the OpenSceneryX Library for forests and objects. ( http://www.opensceneryx.com/ )
    Version 9/10 Notes:
Specifically built and tested in XP10, but should work in XP9.
    Enjoy!

  18. NZCH Christchurch Airport Photo Scenery (XP9) ISDG

NZCH Christchurch New Zealand Airport Photo Scenery (XP9 Compatible Build) v1.0
    Feb 26, 2012 - Chris K and FlorianR
    X-Plane Version 9 User's Notice:
This is an X-Plane 9 compatible build of our XP10 scenery. In this version we tried to replace as many XP10 specific buildings as possible with XP9 or OpensceneryX objects. However, there are quite a few buildings missing from this version than the original XP10 enhanced version.
    Copyright:
The NZCH Photo Imagery is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 New Zealand License with Crown copyright reserved. Please read the LICENSE.RTF for further information
    Installation:
Move the entire folder into your "X-Plane/Custom Scenery/" folder. Thats it.
Do not change the name of the directory. This prevent conflicts with the Greater Auckland 2.0 scenery, which has it's own (limited) version of NZCH.
    Requirements:
    1. This is an X-Plane 9 build of this scenery. it will work in XP9 or XP10, but has no XP10 specific features, facades, buildings, or lighting.
    2. It is suggested that if you do have XP10, you download and use the XP10 version (link provided above)
    2. Requires a Video Card with 1GB of VRAM if you want to use at 'extreme resolution' (which you do, for best quality).
    3. Requires OpenSceneryX ( http://www.opensceneryx.com/ )
    Conflicts:
Conflicts with RoyalOaks awesome NZCH Christchurch Scenery for XP9
Remove his Scenery from your /Custom Scenery/ folder, as I have received permission to incorporate it into this one
    Object and Scenery Credits:
    - Grass Edges as per Simmo W (capnsully)'s Tutorial
    - Grass Imagery from Mihaly (KSGY) from Xplane.hu as part of the "Mow your own grass" Tutorial
    - I've adjusted for colour.
    - Apron Lighting courtesy of the built in XP9 Library by Laminar Research.
    - Tress Courtesy of Andras (alpilotx) Fabian's excellent Euro-replacement forest textures publicly available on his webpage (http://www.alpilotx.net)

    - Derivative works and original FSX-converted objects Troy Chapman, used with permission.
    - Hangars and Misc items courtesy of OpensceneryX and their respective authors (http://www.opensceneryx.com/)
    - Orthophotos courtesy of Land Information New Zealand, used under licence. (http://www.linz.govt.nz/topography)
    - Ortho Manipulation and PhotoEditing by Florian (FlorianR) Radack.
    - Florian Deserves as much credit on this project - His awesome photoshop work made all this possible.
    - Telephone Poles courtesy of Nick (Nickster) Ward.
    - Joe (YYZatcboy) Vermeulen for assistance with testing and good suggestions.
    - Andrew McGregor for providing me ground photographs of the Airport and Locations of field obstacles.
    - Andy (Gjalp) for being my most enthusiastic supporter.
Known bugs / stuff left to do:
    1. There's a small piece of scenery missing near the runway approach lighting to RWY 02.
    - The reason is that was never part of the original aerial photography set by LINZ.
    - I'll search for a suitable replacement for that small corner (other LINZ data perhaps)
    2. There's a cloud shadow near the threshold of RWY 02. It's not a show-stopper though.
    3. Hedgerows need to be adjusted with new textures and adjust tree shapes/sizes to make it look more like hedgerows.
    4. There's a seam just north of the Aeroclub in-between two of the orthophotos. It does not show up in WED, though... looking for the cause.
    Misc:
This is my first attempt ever at:
    - Making an Airport
    - Using GeoTIFFs
    - Making a Draped Polygon
    - Using any of the X-Plane scenery tools
    - Using OpensceneryX
    Thanks:
    1. This was completely done in WED v1.1b4 for MacOSX - Thanks to Ben Supnik and various details on his blog regarding scenery optimization.
    2. GraphicConverter. Great software for batch ortho conversions and alpha blending. Pretty much all my gfx work was done with it.
    3. All the previous threads in the Scenery Development forum on x-plane.org, which I found 99% of my answers to. The [sEARCH] button is your friend.
    4. Carlos Garcia for pointing me in the right direction for the grass forest files from capnsully/Simmo W
    5. Support from the community in general.

This scenery is Pieware - Meaning that if you like it, you are obligated to send us some kind of edible bakeware in pastry-and-filling format. We especially like Blueberry Pie, but will settle for Apple, Strawberry Rhubarb, or possibly Lemon Meringue.
