  1. Once the 1.1 patch is out, if it fixes the issues raised then I think many people's problems will be over. No product is perfect on initial release, especially if it's as complex as the CRJ is. I actually think post v1.1 is when to review the aircraft, not now. It has issues, we now what they are and are waiting for the fix. The XPUIPC problem is the show stopper for me, without that I just cannot fly the aircraft as my flight logger won't work with it, and as I'm having general X-Plane issues as well, I haven't flown the CRJ properly yet, just a few mins of hand flying without playing with the sysrtems. The plane has a lot to say for it, it's the most advanced aircraft for X-Plane and is in the same league as FSX add-ons. Iron out the teething issues that are to be expected with a trailbalzing add-on like this and ignore the vocal negative where it isn't constructive - you simply can't please everyone all of the time, just make sure to address known issues and you'll be fine. Good job so far - fixing the known bugs will be the way to not put off future purchasers - people can see what the issues are, if it affects them then a fix is the way to their wallets. Don't get disheartened, you've all done an excellent job with this plane - chin up!
  2. If everything's fine for you Simon, Don't worry... be happy. I just picked up a few orbx airports for Australia in the sale and the ezdok camera, so I've enough in FSX to keep me happy for a bit, and the CRJ isn't any use to me until they fix the problem with XPUIPC (I think in 1.1) anyway. Most of the purchases I make are just to repaint for the VA anyway, c'est la vie!
  3. I have the worst luck. I used ATI all whilst the drivers didn't work with x-plane properly, changed to nvidia and the reverse is now true. Sucks to be me. I have the problem you describe with pixel shaders on and also have a frame rate bleed where fps falls over time to minimums. Going to be flying FSX until X-plane starts working for me again a few months and drivers down the line.
  4. Change paint layer mode to multiply. Just reinstall and you'll get your paint kit back.
  5. On my Euroharmony repaint, I found that painting the area outside of the black markers on the tail itself (not the rudder) transparent helps to reduce this.

  7. I have no problem with the templates using CS3. I also have CS5 on my mac, but haven't tried them there.
  8. Thats good to hear Philip no XPUIPC would be a deal breaker for me. Are we looking at days weeks or months for the first patch do you think? (no promises expected or implied).
  9. That's much better. I didn't like the original shudder and cat eye rumbles, and your version is a great improvement for me.
  10. That I don't really understand. While the default x-plane sound engine is used, loads of the sounds are customised. I noticed that straight away. WHat we really need is an upgrade to x-planes sound rather than relying on diffferent roll your own solutions that don't work reliably across platforms.
  11. I had a CTD after about 15 mins of just flying about and occurred after hitting the area over the comms panel in 3d pit with mouse. Was first flight, hope it doesn't recurr. Will let you know. i7 920, GTX 570 Win 7 x64. EDIT - it was instant, once second the window was open, the next x-plane had gone and wasn't running. Thik the aircraft is lovely from my small time with it.
  12. I am so glad you've done both blue and brown interiors. I know the blue is more modern, but I always preferred the brown on flight1's version. Seeing your screens though, the blue looks much nicer than I remember, so I may flip between both

  21. You misunderstand me, the prop disc adds blurred moving blades which doesn't look so strange when in motion. they disappear when stopped.
  22. There is a fix for the prop. http://forums.armchairaviation.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=13&id=65&Itemid=2 The prop disc (imho looks much better) is included in the package. You just need to open the aircraft in planemaker, hop to misc objects, click on second page and add in the _propdisc.obj that is in the objects folder before saving. Voila, blurred props that don't look so strange. If, like me, you prefer that look, let Jack know so he may change the 'default' in an update.
  23. IVAO has better European (and a few other locations) coverage than VATSIM, most other locations, VATSIM has the edge. Depends where you fly.
  24. There's a hotkey to enable/disable the camera. On windows it's F9. Look where you need, hit F9, operate switch, Hit F9 again.
