I've added a third computer to my pit and some new monitors but I cannot find the cockpit forum, if someone can find it and move this, that would be great. Cockpit now has 3 computers, 1 hack for master, 2 PCs as slaves, the 3rd bolted under the desk. A chair out of an old dodge with a 300 watt subwoofer sealed in the base, a mac mini for XHSI, and an iPad for various view commands. All the buttons and the Saitek Panels are programmed with ControllerMate software, and all planes have they own .xjm file with appropriate dateref for each command, so all buttons, switches and axis are the same across all aircraft. Makes X-Plane hard to walk away from..

xjoymap

xjoymap is the only way to do this properly, do not use flywitlua as it will create a loop that will interfere with aircraft systems as the xsaitekpanels plugin does. small example; Default Planes [AP Servos On]new_command=my_pilot/ap_servos_engagedataref=sim/cockpit2/autopilot/flight_director_modevalues=2 [AP Servos Off]new_command=my_pilot/ap_servos_disengagedataref=sim/cockpit2/autopilot/flight_director_modevalues=1 JAR A320 [A320 AP Servos On]new_command=my_pilot/ap_servos_engagedataref=sim/custom/xap/fcu/ap1values=1 [A320 AP Servos Off]new_command=my_pilot/ap_servos_disengagedataref=sim/custom/xap/fcu/ap1values=0 Now both planes will use the same buttomkeep all .xjm files inside the aircraft folder, do not put .xjm file in plugin folder as instructions suggeststudy the xjoymap documentation and soon you will have a command for every button in your cockpityou can then use that file as a base for every other plane you havenever again will you have to assign another button for a different plane Enjoy PS map all buttons to your .xjm file, not built in commandsthink of it as your command server

I have the r9 290x msi lighting, but it's on a z97 board with i4790 cpu. I had to replace an 850 watt PSU with a 1250 watt to keep the card from shut downs. With your CPU I do not think you will see a lot of difference as X-Plane is so bound to the CPU. You could look at it as an investment in the future though.... tomcat357

Hi Lizz I have an x58 board with i7 950, clocked to 4.00 with 970 zotac for slave and a z97 with i7 4790k and r9 290x msi lighting for master. I had to up my PSU to 1250 to keep the card from blacking out. I think the answer to ya question would be NO. Go with as much as you can for your master machine, the slave will keep up. The network between the two is what is most important.. have fun tomcat357
