I have planned a 1200nm trip with the app just to see how accurate the numbers are. (obviously I planned with long range cruise settings) I found the app is almost spot on with fuel flow calculation and halfway to my destination I have burned roughly the amount of fuel I had expected by the numbers in the app. In contrast, the calculated fuel remaining in the plane was completely wrong, indicating that I would be running out of fuel a bit more than halfway. Sadly I have not been able to complete that flight because of my problem with frame rate drops on long flights, so I can only say the app was spot on for the half of my flight.

I have tried that once, all worked normally, except that the plane slided to the left and right as if the tug driver was drunk. Seems betterpushback and the TBM do not work quite well together. But hey, how often do you see a TBM 900 being pushed by a tug in real life? Maybe Totoritko will do something about it in future..

What framerates are you seeing on the TBM900?

Just installed a fresh copy of xp11 to do some more testing regarding my problem with fps drop on longer flights. Thought it would be a good opportunity to take part on this performance test. So here it is: CPU: i5 6500 3,2 GHz RAM: 16GB GPU: GTX 1070 OS: Windows 10 Res: 1920x1080 XP: 11.26 TBM Vers.: 1.10 (1.09b) TBM: 105 fps Default Cessna: 120 fps -
I have the same problem when using WT3..... Give it a try without WT3 and see what it does ? Thanks, yes I plan to do a fresh xplane 11 install anyway and try without any plugins. The thing is, I never had this kind of problem and I have WT3 running since the day it came out. So far only happened with the TBM. WT3 is one of my essentials and I don't want to fly without it.

I think with a 200fpm touchdown it's not bouncing, it's still too much lift on your wing. The TBM likes to fly and you have to manage your airspeed on final and touchdown. Don't forget to keep "flying" the aircraft even after your wheels touch the ground to prevent wind gusts lifting you up again.

Thanks for your feedback. I will try again with a fresh xplane install as soon as i find the time. Normally I wouldn't spend that much time to sort out problems, but your TBM 900 is worth it. I really enjoy every minute flying. Thank you for this great model!

I am experiencing this issue as well. Longer flights end up losing 10-15 frames over time. Restarting fixes the issue. Thanks! I thought i was the only one. One thing i noticed is that no matter how much i turn down graphic settings, eliminate weather, reflections, nothing will change and the fps just stay around 10-15. Only a restart helps. So i don't think i'm running out of memory or something. Want to investigate further but i have so little time these days...

Yes, indeed i have World Traffic 3 running. Is there a known conflict with the TBM?
-
Not for me, sadly. Short flights are ok, but on longer flights my frames drop from 25-30 to mid tens, unflyable. Restarting the simulator bring my frames back up.

I did, third time now. Error message still the same. EDIT: After rebooting the PC twice the installer finally ran without error message. Then again a CTD after activation.(log attached) Next startup was ok then. I must say I never had CTD´s with xplane, with the TBM I had 4 within one week. :-( Log.txt

Finally I found some time to install the latest patch, but this time the installer showed an error message. (wasn´t the case with the previous versions) Ignored it and ran the installer again, same message. Then I started x-plane and loaded the TBM900 and after entering my activation details the simulator crashed to desktop immediately. I started x-plane once again and this time no crash. Was able to perform a short flight without problems. One thing I noticed was that a window appeared on startup saying that a new version is online, although I already have 1.09. What does this error message mean and do I have to expect any quirks now? Don´t want to set everything up now just to be forced to reinstall later... Thanks!

I remember having seen this on a YouTube video, the Hobbs meter shows roughly the flight time it would have taken IRL to ferry your new plane to the location you loaded it up. Cool feature many wouldn't notice.

I had a low Battery warning during flight and was wondering why the main generator would not load the battery. Pilot error, I had disconnected the GPU after start but forgot to put the switch back from GPU to Bat. :-) Better check that twice.

Maybe a twin turboprop next time? A study level King Air 350i would be awesome!

Ahh, good to know, thanks! That was driving me nuts today and i thought i must have done something wrong. So, when you say a real quirk of the G1000 you mean the real life thing? That's interesting. Does that mean they have even modelled the bugs of the real thing?

Don't know if this is as it is intended to be, but it's a bit annoying. When you bring up the flight plan view on the PFD or MFD, the view shows the waypoint last selected with the cursor. Now, if you are on a long range flight with a fairly long flight plan you need to start scrolling down a while to see your active leg and waypoint. Wouldn't it be comfortable to see the active leg centered or on top when selecting flight plan view? Is this as it is in the real G1000, or is there a way to make the G1000 act like this? Thanks!

Just tried VMG H115 FRS. It's there and loads without problem, resulting in VMG TIMTO SOLGI ELBEN FRS. Just to be sure, as H115 only appears when you scroll down in the menu, you do know that the list of airways can be scrolled further down? :-)

It should be gone almost immediately. Turn xenviro off via the xenviro menu (not the plugin manager), then to be sure default weather comes in go to the xplane flight menu and set some default weather. Best is to set it to use real world weather and wait for the download to be completed. Apply changes and go back to your flight. You should notice the weather will be redrawn and problem should be fixed. If not, well then it's probably not xenviro in your case.
-
If it is of any help for you, I have experienced the same. I slowly found out that xenviro does weird things when it thinks turbulence is to be expected, so you will still be able to complete some flights without issues. I was not able to track that down to a root cause until i finally decided to deinstall xenviro and wait for them to fix in a future version. I can only say that everytime METAR reported variable winds I had a hard time taking off or landing without a crash. I also experienced that behavior mostly in Europe, not in the US. It seems to be more likely to encounter METARs reporting variable winds in Europe than in the US, however. For me the problem is completely gone since I'm flying default weather. Edit: Forgot to mention, last time I had this problem I just deactivated enviro via the plugin menu and as soon as the default weather kicked in, the problem was gone. Would recommend you try that out.

I deinstalled xenviro 1.09 for this reason weeks ago, as soon as winds are reported variable, even just slight wind, the turbulence goes crazy and the slider does literally nothing. (bug in 1.09)

Most difficult thing in this aircraft: find something which isn't modelled. No need to apologize, BARO will do it for me. Thanks!
-
Sorry, I thought you already know the xplane folder as you already mentioned it in your post. You have to map the Navigraph FMS Data Manager to your X-Plane11/Custom Data folder.
-
It's sufficient to update xplane because the aircraft is using the very same database.

Hi, Getting no sleep since i bought this, amazing work by Hotstart! Maybe somebody can help me, I'm trying to set a decision height, but it seems the TMR/REF page on the PFD only has BARO minimums. According to the G1000 manual one should be able to select either BARO or RAD ALT for the minimums. Now, the page on the PFD only let me select ON or OFF. (for the BARO Min) Or is it not simulated? Thanks a lot!
