I have had "sound weirdness" when the sound device was set to different entities in the Windows sound menu and the X-Plane sound menu (i.e. one to headset, one to loudspeaker). Make sure those are both pointing to the same output device.

Thanks for pointing those out, noted!

Thanks for the report, I think you are right, have to doublecheck on my end, didnt see this yet.

Also it sounds as if you have the autothrottle controlling your thrust levers. Disable the autothrottle, then move your hardware throttles to "capture" and resync the virtual throttles with your hardware throttles.

The basic mode of setting up your aircraft in X-Plane is "engines running". You can then use the IXEG menus to specify your start-up state (cold and dark, turnaround, ready to fly). Make sure you have enough battery power, if you let the plane sit too long without a power source it will drain and you can´t even connect the GPU without battery power. You can use the IXEG failure menu to "recharge battery".

IXEG 737 Classic Plus - Releasing Friday, September 15th!
Litjan replied to Cameron's topic in General Discussion
Hi everyone, just landed and got home, 11h flight from SBGR... just catching up on the posts here and wanted to let you know that I will take over for a bit, after taking a nap, only had about 3h of break on the flight. Weight and balance + fuel has to be set up through the default X-Plane menu for now Spool up times for engine start is a known subject, we can not control the fuel scheduling in X-Plane 12 and therefore this is a function of engine inertia...we are looking at a way to slow it down a bit more XPUIPC does not work in its latest version, use the one posted in this thread earlier (this covers most "throttle does not move" issues Activation problems will need to be solved with X-Aviation support Discount email problems will also need to be solved with X-Aviation support When encountering unexplicable problems the default X-Plane troubleshooting rule applies: Remove all (other) plugins and try again, if it works, add the removed plugins one by one to see which one is conflicting Further discussion of problems and issues will be handled in the "Support" subsection of this forum. We are determined to get the first patch out with the most common and pressing problems fixed first, thanks for everyone´s patience and help in finding and eliminating bugs! Cheers, Jan -

IXEG 737 Classic Plus - Releasing Friday, September 15th!
Litjan replied to Cameron's topic in General Discussion
And just a heads-up from my side: I will be away flying DLH507 from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning, landing around 8:45Z in EDDF. I won´t be able to man the forums and give technical advice and log problems until later that afternoon, plus I have a family outing planned on Saturday night to celebrate my 53rd birthday that I spent here in Sao Paulo, away from my family. So give us a chance to catch up with everything over the weekend, I will certainly try to get through the backlog on Sunday. There are bound to be some problems and issues that slipped by me and my testflights, but as Tom already said, we are going to be on deck in the days and week after the launch and the plan is to have a very short turnaround time on critical fixes. I am excited to hear what you guys think! Cheers, Jan- 485 replies

ILS not working, also not VOR and ADF
Litjan replied to perwel's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
Hi HeliMaf, yes, the default mapping of the Honeycomb switch to "avionics power" is the cause of much trouble and pain, not only with the IXEG - also other aircraft suffer from it (like the LR default A330) -

Not at this point in time. But you can transport cargo with the passenger version, too ;-) -
FMC CoRoute problem in the IXEG 737-300 classic
Litjan replied to Leo V's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
If I remember correctly, the problem was in the file´s type tag...instead of .fpl it expects .flp? Can you try that? -
The needles point to NDB positions, not to VOR positions. If they do not receive a signal, they default to the 3 o´clock position.

Doublechecked my manual: Normal alignment (between 70 deg, 12 min north and south) takes "approximately 10 minutes". High latitude alignment (between 70,12 and 78,15) takes at least 17 minutes (we don´t model that). -

It does take EXTRA time if you are up in the high latitudes. I have to doublecheck but the regular full align time is 13 min, iirc. Misleading is the fact that the time to align shown on the IRS units starts with 7 minutes...and then stays at 7 minutes for the first 6 or so minutes and only THEN starts to count down. So unless you really start the chronometer to time it, you will never see more than "7 minutes" TTA, which may lead you to believe that it is only 7 minutes total. -

It is on our list - align time is around 13 minutes, I can get the plane ready in 5... if the flightplan is not too long -

There may be some VRAM savings in this, but the actual framerate advantage will be very small, I think. I believe that XP does not render what you can´t see. To test this, set yourself up at KLAX, runway 06R facing the city. Look at the framerate. Now turn around and look out over the Pacific. Compare framerate now. -
IXEG 737-300 Engine Start
Litjan replied to gregmorgansen's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
Thanks for letting us know the reason...I think the magneto switch is probably assigned to "start switch" engine no.1 and will therefore allow bleed pressure to run the starter for the left engine. Normally the starter will flip to the OFF position automatically, but just like in the real aircraft, if you HOLD it open, it will continue to be aspirated by bleed air and "help" the engine (which will then run with a higher N2). -
This is most likely the speed trim function at work. It is a function of the real aircraft as well and it will try to "trim" the airplane for a certain speed to add speed stability (you can google its function). To stop it you can select flaps up (it only works while flaps are down) and it only works while thrust setting is high. The speed the trim system aims for is determined by the position of the speed cursor, so make sure you set it to the appropriate speed you want to fly (like if you accelerate for clean up).
