  1. ...he's actually just trolling airliners for photos and pixelating them a bit so they look photoshopped.

I don't think it'll hurt your FPS.... that's kinda the problem, the average yoke has more polys. :/ Heinz can do a lot better.

it'd be acceptable as freeware. The model is ok. The cockpit is ok. The interior cabin is a joke and should be deleted.
  4. ...I've been working on a pet project recently and this little bug showed up in the avionics code. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/948813/gizmo_mfd_tech_demo_10_4_17.mov
  5. Installed please.
  6. It sounds like you've moved the Corvalis plugin out of it's aircraft package. I believe the Corvalis plugin is designed to live next to the Corvalis ACF. Eg: Once you unzip the corvalis folder DO NOT go into the plugins folder and move things around. As for the BK-117, that's very odd. Gizmo tries to ensure that it resets itself when you change aircraft, there is nothing in it that touches any battery code at all. There are no existing scripts published that touch the battery code. I'd love to test, but I don't have a copy of the 117. I'm wondering if you've moved some other plugins around, if you've done it for the Corvalis you've probably done it for others as well. What, exactly, is in your <XPLANE>/Resources/plugins/ folder? Can you start X-Plane up and post your log.txt here?

  8. ...more! ... x-p kinda lets you down though, I understand... Greg's just announced he's doing an F-16, should be awesome.. http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=44725&view=findpost&p=493115
  9. ...yeah, ok, I can see the error.. That avanti package is using a plugin called XAP. Probably part of that SASL plugin. When the avanti loads its attempting to load XAP. XAP contains Lua. Gizmo also contains Lua but it's already loaded because Gizmo is installed at the system level. When both items load into ram we ended up with two Lua engines inside X-Plane with the result being a core dump. This is non trivial to fix and will probably affect all aircraft that are using the XAP/SASL system. -sigh- Re-installing Gizmo will do nothing to resolve this. If you want to fly your Avanti the temporary solution is to disable Gizmo before you launch the sim that it it isn't loaded as a plugin. Disabling Gizmo "in sim" "after loading" won't work. Thanks for the bug report.... :/
  10. ..thanks Nik. Tweaked.
  11. Thanks for posting that Jim, great read. I want that job. *laughs*
  12. No. Editing the ACF file is something we highly discourage for a number of reasons. Please, worry about performance once the aircraft is released. The team is working very hard on optimizing the entire package. It's part of what takes so long.
  13. Selling Googleware isn't a very good business model.

  15. Hi Guys. I'm planning to try and release Gizmo updates monthly. That leaves me a week until April when we will all see Gizmo 10.4. Apologies to the patient Linux people who are still waiting. All Operating Systems will get the 10.4 update at the same time. At this time it will be a new .zip to download - not an in-sim update. In future I'd like seamless, easy in-sim updates.
  16. Most people find the turbulence a little bit too strong and too constant. I don't think there's much you can do to tweak the built in real weather.
  17. H Guys. I appreciate the interest but I can't reveal anything ahead of time. User expectation is a heavy burden to bear and I have enough to deal with already. It's fun to spring surprises on you guys too. Thanks, br.
  18. I'll drink to that *cheers*
  19. Oh, I have so much more than just that planned. I suppose I could fit that in.
  20. It could be done, but it's not exactly high on my list. Gizmo isn't meant to be an "every plane" solution, it's an enhancement tool for premium models.
  21. ...I still say the gear needs more detail.
  22. ...been doing too many hours lately, sorry for the grouchiness. It's quiet because they're busy.
  23. Minimum license duration is 1 second. There are lots of options, I've tried to build a system that suits everyone. Programmers hate DRM to you know, perhaps more than most, it's not easy to write and it's utter hell to debug. This DRM system wasn't built by suits who don't care.
  24. ...gear isn't detailed enough, start over.
  25. The CRJ will be done when it's done. Not before. Not Saturday the 15th. Not Monday the 1st. Not July. Not June. When, it's, done. Asking for dates is pointless.
