On the main forum page, third down, post in there, the Help forum I guess you may get fast and rolling help/replies from there on your saitek (if that's the one i think it is, i knew of a guy that's now taking a brake from xp, is it blue led/lcd ? joomie, smp+rwc work in xp11 Just i find some sunlight directional variations kinda make some scenarios seem err how can i say, kinda like the clouds edges are too sharp Of course, smp3 wasn't designed for 11, so use as as that, no guarantee etc But yes it's still amazing in 11 for me, and had no crashes etc Tony ps : go here, shot it lastnight i think or in the wee hours today, shows settings etc etc, so it's still damned amazing i find ...........

Great reply Frank I'm still enjoying as always v3 in xp11 (but of course v4 would do nicely (in the visa advert voice)) The crep setting helps some visuals i've found in xp11 using v3, never touched them before, but obviously if included in v4 then i'll be all over the settings lol Thanks Have Fun Tony

Hiya's, After getting my flight rig sorted, both pc and peripheral-wise since getting the x-plane bug last year I was setting up my newly aquired TrackIR for FS17 almost a fortnight ago, then realised i could do with more button inputs, well, who couldn't As it happens a guy i subbed to on YT mentioned a G13 Having used Logi stuff for more years than i care to remember, i had a read about it, ordered one, and got it yesterday Even though this is maybe an old bit of kit, it's really good The thumb stick i set for view panning, of course a multitude of button configs to set to my liking over time Best of all the default lcd panel/button colour is a nice blue, but you can make about any colour change you like, so i made mine even deeper blue I run Windose 10 pro x64 flavour and logi support this with driver updates So, being an older bit of HW, i'm really happy with it and what i've got it to do thus far If you do require more buttons and a multitude of lcd display options, then this is really worth a look Cost me £59.99 here in England, across the pond you can almost just swap the pound sign to the dollar lol (exchange rates ehh) I was in the process of compiling a button box project, but tell you the truth, i'm putting that off until next year now, as this pads so good Food for thought Thought this might help anyone looking for a fairly cheap and from only using it for a short time it's a very well built bit of kit, the lcd screen is the same size as my G15 kb, the keys are soft push but precise, and the l'il thumb stick is just so sweet it's a joy (pardon the punn) to use Have Fun Tony

Hiya's, I think most of us miss a certain or certain features I'm looking at this release as this .............. A Pre-Beta, somewhat toned option/feature-wise for testing on a pretty even keel (for the rig-compat/bug/issue side of things if any) I'd hazard a guess not being a coder, that if all the bells n whistles were on this pb from the start, then it would make the devs job a lot harder as it would really broaden their workload which we all should assume would lengthen any post beta release date Also this is another way i'm thinking, so take it as my hunch-opinion and nothing more from myself ........... At Cosford, not long into the presentation we all got the shock November announcement, with this in mind, it may be that Laminar sees the need to honour/backup (just insert your wording you prefer here) just what they announced, if so, fair play to them for giving us the pb So, since being somewhat late on the X-Plane 10 scene, i have seen open-betas, these, again i'm not a coder, would suggest to me they had a stable base to work with and needed that testing over as many varying rig combos out there, for obvious reasons again that makes so much sense as glitches/bugs etc can be found a darn sight faster than a small closed beta testing team I'm totally fine with what i think/believe is happeneing, afterall, from what i've encountered since last year regarding xp and smp/rwc and most of my pw aircraft, the devs do listen the majority of the time, end line is they hope to sell a product, if they veer off too much from what the majority want, then i'm pretty sure they know or may have learnt from past experience what could happen I'll put my very slight gripes thus far though, to show although i'm hyped over 11 as any sane nutter like me should be, i do await the return of the items so far i've found Having to use my Thrustmaster Hotas instead of my minty fresh WH+CH Peds setup due to medical reasons/md-gp advice (the TM i will add is stunning for the money !!!) ............. On the now xp11 pb hat, i cannot assign external views like i did in xp10, i had hat up as 3d cockpit i think, the red/black oblong button next to the hat on the right was my external chase view (unless i got that the wrong way round lol) I do miss the global globe view, but i do see the parts as per xp10 in the xp11 folders, so i assume this is there and i've not found it (really not dug deep) or they will enable it at a later date Of course like a lot, i guess the fine tuning options via roads/scenery etc etc, as per my waffle above, i'd be amazed if we don't get as many options as xp10, or at least a chance to tune the majority of what we had been used to From the 10 ui to 11 is like night and day for me (again, imho) they did stress how long and hard a job that was, so for that reason i'm giving them plenty of slack regarding the new amazing ui I've had two crashes so far, and Nothing i repeat Nothing to do with XP11, Again, No XP pb Crash I can tell you now, i couldn't even begin to count how many betas i've been in since 1995, to be frank, i'm amazed just how stable and glitch free this pb is, heck i'll tell you it's more stable/compatible than some rc's and to be totally outwardly honest, more stable/bug/glitch/compat-problem free than some gold and even released games/sims End of my morning post medication waffle lol Have Fun Guys n Gals Report any issues Get Flying Now, back to drool over on the SMP v4 postings Tony ps : Please, Just take the above as my take on things and nothing more,no hurt/pain/sniping was/is inteneded by the above, just let's all be happy and enjoy watching a new flight sim evolve

Hiya, I had dramatic veering to the left, and upon taking off planes wanted to barrel roll left lol The only thing i did to sort it was kept on trying to re-config my stick after each time it happened I think after the fourth attempt my settings/input/calibration seemed to of held That's all i did to sort mine If i come across anything in reading today i'll post back Tony

Hiya Mike, If this helps (my memory gets hazy so bare with me) I got x-plane 10 late 2015, finally made my first pw purchase of smp then rwc I decided to upgrade my mobo/cpu/ram as i saw x-plane as my main flight sim I went 5820k/asus rampage v extreme/32gb corsair ddr4 3200mhz 4x8gb sticks So with a new mobo obviously i needed to use a second slot for my smp, so, i was unlucky with the asus mobo, one week in it went fubar, three days later ocuk benchtested mobo/cpu/ram which i got from them as they're local and i can drive there and i used to chat to the founder way way way before he started the company lol It died on them (the mobo) and i was allowed to hear its death throws of agony lol So there and then they asked if i wanted cash back/another differing mobo with cash either way or a like for like, i chose like for like So that used my final smp slot (iirc) So i then upgraded from w7 ultimate to w10 pro This also tried to use a slot which by now i never had, me being me and wanting smp back so i shelled out again, no biggie, i saw it as more slots for a noob who had by now realised the slots are there to protect the hard work of the devs The support from Cameron was great, got my initial slots sorted fast after i found my email didn't like the online support reply part, so had to email direct to support, again no biggie and it's good for me to know for the future So, long n short of it is, a new mobo will use a slot up, and in my case a different os install did as well, this was because i was trying to find out if windows or hardware was causing some problems i encountered, actually, the replacement mobo's bios was the cause hehe When it comes down to it, so many want everything for free, and alas, peops like me who value and look after their investment have to find ways in this day and age of protecting their hard work For me the three slot system makes logical sense, albeit after the fact, it just came as a shock when i found out so many try to cheat devs etc but also want all things nice n freshly updated to the latest standards for nothing So end of waffling lol Might stand others that read it in good stead too If you ever do have to contact support and don't get a pretty instant reply with a number, then email direct, that email's allover this site Have Fun Tony
