Really exited to see global shadows making it into version 10.0. Just a pity GI lit objects at night don't cast shadows yet... Anyway, it's looking promising. But have to see a few more before I make up my mind. Regardless it's a step in the right direction
The lighting, and night lighting in particular look absolutely stunning and must have undergone a total rewrite. Looks like scenery designers will finally get to use real lights that cast light on moving objects like planes and cars. Can't wait to see some day time shots! ;D
Having recently watched the video showcasing some of the new planes coming in XP10, I think it's fair to say that nearly none of Nicolas crapware measures up to XP10 default planes. He and his developers will have to seriously step it up big time if they are going to have a future in this game.
I had a look at the .obj file for the circuit breakers panel and its referring to an invalid path for the artwork, as well as the lit texture using the command TEXTURE instead of TEXTURE_LIT, overriding the day time texture. I went ahead and changed it and now it works just perfect, but surely this affects all users right?
Quite a project you've taken on The new terminal is huge. I got to see it when I flew out of LEAL after a trip to spain this february. Nice job on the old terminal as well. I've got one suggestion for you, and that is to try to animate that large clock on the wall and have it tied to the local time in X-Plane via datarefs. I'm not sure if its possible without a plugin but it would be pretty cool if you could pull it off ;D
That 3D cockpit looks hideous. The exterior isn't much better, pretty dull if you ask me. Thankfully I'm not desperate for airliners, yet, so I'll be waiting patiently for Javier's CRJ200, and wont be wasting my money on this one!
Excellent model and paint scheme, hats of to you guys! My only concern, and excuse my ignorance, is that there seems to be no glass in those windshield frames... Must be pretty airy flying this plane
Heavies without a doubt... In addition to two of my favorites already on the drawing board (the A320 and B777), I would love to see the B757 and 737 and another Airbus favorite, the A340 (or A330) being built by XA devs. ;D
Is it much more realistic to have rain and no water accumulating on the windshield (like every other aircraft in X-Plane) or to have a pretty decent representation of rain that somehwat interacts with the wipers? Tell me...? What Javier has achieved here is groundbreaking, and not a silly gimmick IMO. I'd imagine rain is pretty difficult to pull off and I'm very impressed with the result he has achieved with the limited tools X-Plane offers. With all the attention to detail that Javier and Anton have put into this aircraft I'm confident that this will be the single most advanced addon to hit the market i 2010!
Careful, or you'll run out of polygons ;D What I'm more interested in seeing is how good the UV tools are, and if texture mapping can be automated. Creating the UV map by hand in AC3D and trying to get everything in proportion to one another is a PITA and extremely time consuming. If it could be somewhat automated with a decent result and efficient use of the texture space, then that would make me interested in LW....
Don't these sceneries come with windows installers that require MSFS to install properly? Could make it difficult for you if you're on a Mac and don't have a Windows PC close by.... ??? However I did buy FlyTampa's TNCM scenery and it did convert pretty good, but if I remember correctly I had to run Windows in Parallels to get it installed...
