  1. The code runs within X-Plane. There is no significant drop in performance on my machine at all. Everyone's experience will be linear to their setup, so this is not the easiest question to answer.
  2. It's not shipped that way because the eye candy people like is not that selection. It just so happens in your scenario it may work better with Frank's suggestion.
  3. I read every post in this forum. I do not selectively seek you out. I am not IXEG and my words are not theirs. I AM in part responsible for the lack of Linux compatibility as the one making such business decisions at X-Aviation.
  4. Just an expression to say they will be buying it!
  5. Strange. What add-ons could possibly be mandatory? If you feel some add-ons are "mandatory" and don't support Linux then you'll technically not use X-Plane for any OS other than Windows anyhow. I suppose there could be some freeware, but still curious to know. Just right here you said:
  6. Similar to your antics about Linux? Here you are talking up some MSFS product, meaning you use Windows for it. You jumping in here to talk about Linux nonsense is silliness. You obviously have the capability to run Windows given your favorite MSFS aircraft. Please, man. I'm not attempting to "piss off" anyone. There is a reality here. If I asked you to pump gas into a gas tank with a big hole in it and you had to pay for the gas, would you? From a sense AND business standpoint it's money down the drain. Someone has to FUND Linux development. I'm not going to do "charity" work for the sake of a handful of people to have fun. It has to make sense, and right now it does not.
  7. Going out of our way to get a small market to do things we don't have to do for Mac and Windows is not worth the time. It is your thinking that's part of the Linux problem. It's more work for VERY little return. As for your pdf it seems very irrelevant. It talks about some old format provided by Aerosoft that in NO way presents the same issues on the 737.
  8. This product is about simulating the real version of this aircraft. As such, I can't ever see something like this happening.
  9. The regional version is still supported and if that's the only area you fly then get it!
  10. Keep pestering him. I do it all the time!
  11. Wish you would have posted a screenshot of the weather screen as well.
  12. Typically happens "when it's ready".
  13. Really great looking stuff, Omar. Congrats on the release!
  14. kais, Sheesh, you made it sound like you haven't been answered in weeks, which certainly is not the case. We'll get you taken care of, but after reviewing this you're just a little out of the normal response time. Cameron
  15. Thanks for providing that. I'll look into why this went amiss for so long.
  16. Provide your ticket number.
  17. I guess that means you didn't read anything in the big red text after you submitted your support ticket on X-Aviation. It reads as follows: A support ticket has been created and a copy of it with your support ticket number has been sent to your e-mail on file. If you send multiple e-mails this will delay our response to you. Do not do this! Typical response time is 3 days or less.
  18. I wouldn't be so sure. If there's one thing Tom likes it's beer!
  19. It works on Mac. Just so happens their manual was Windows minded.
  20. Can you expand on why?
  21. Nope. Time for you to submit a support ticket I guess. You're 100% trying to run a 32-bit version, which means whatever you're installing is not the latest (should be 1.5.3).
  22. Try not to say the same thing about Navigraph! He'd go Aerosoft...because he already does.
  23. Hi Rydent1, I think it's certain we'll ultimately do such a thing. The sounds for this product are astonishingly good. Yes, the sounds are all recorded (including interior/switch sounds) from the real aircraft thanks to access provided by a certain airline.
  24. And that makes sense since it's a SkyMaxx feature to give you such a warning! You didn't really answer Frank's question at all.
  25. Ultimately the choice is yours. Now you have answers as to where things currently stand with the product and you can adjust your thoughts accordingly. If your purchase comes down to an AIRAC cycle and who is providing that data then so be it! Perhaps one day both will be supported. For now (and likely at release), such is not the case.
