  1. <3 Thank you, this did not come up when I searched for it.
  2. Would you be willing to make a Delta Livery? I know they don't fly 733's anymore but I would love to see their new paint on the 737!
  3. But I think another thing to consider is, how do the salmon and ants feel about this?
  4. About a month ago, I was doing a JetBlue flight on Vatsim from JFK to FLL. This was of course in the Scarebus as Jan calls it. Anyways flight was going beautifully, no turbulence, a strong tailwind due to a storm, I was expecting to end the flight on a good note. I began my descent into FLL and there were no atc online, so I suspsected I had to do my own navigation to land. Again, everything was moving smoothly, but then, FLL CTR came online, and it all went downhill. I had to wait for about a half a hour to wait for traffic to clean up. Finally, I was cleared for a visual approach. Flaps down, auto brake armed, spoilers armed, ready to land. Unfortunately, I wasn't told that there was low visibility in the area. That would be fine, except little did I know, I was headed for the wrong airport and was in fact approaching a regional airport. Cleared to land, landing gear down, I got no feedback from ATC that I was doing anything wrong. I was a little high, but I knew I could slow down in time. Anyways, short final, I begin to second guess the airport, it didn't look like FLL, but I stupidly dismiss it. I land, all is going well, however, when I go in to pull the reversers, they won't open. I'm getting closer to the end of the runwy. I keep trying at the reverser but nothing...that's when my plane flew off the runway and did a flip and nosedive directly into the ground. I disconnected shortly after that. The funny part of this story is, I fly for a VA and they dont support X-Plane so there isn't an ACars plugin so I do it all manually. They STILL accepted my flight because they had no record that I crashed. Anyways, thanks for listening.
  5. Hello Everyone, This is a question that applies to X-Plane in general that no one else can seem to answer for me. I thought I would give a last ditch attempt here before accepting the facts and paying for a subscription. So, I am aware of Navigraph and Aerosoft having the AIRAC Cycles that you can use for various aircraft if you pay for a subscription, but, do any of you know of one I could use that works for just as many aircraft, that is free of charge? -moose1
  6. Would you guys ever consider making a Concorde? I know it is SUPER different, but X-Plane doesn't have it, and it is truly an amazing aircraft.
  7. Hi IXEG team, I have been an admirer of your work for a few years now, and have been very intrigued as to how complicated everything is. What does it take to do what you guys are doing? I have never been the person to wonder how these planes are made, but you guys have really brought the interest for me, and I think I'll respect it more if I understand how it's done. -moose
  8. Thanks guys! I will work with it and see what I can do. Also, the reason I'm not building a computer is that it seems very intimidating to me :/
  9. Interesting to know. I too need to upgrade because currently, my computer cannot handle scenery at all (except the airports) and when the smallest cloud appears, my frame rate drops by around 20. I was wondering if any of you could tell me what you think of this computer:http://www.chillblast.com/pconf.php?productid=20593 I have heard many great reviews, but I want to make sure it is worth it.
  10. I totally agree with you. The JAR and MD are really sketchy. I have flown many times with both, and whenever I'm told to fly direct, the whole plan becomes a nightmare, and I dont want that. But it does seem like some developers have caught on, because there are more sustained projects that are happening right now that really seem like they are going to deliver something very close to the real thing. I think all that's missing from the community is more people like Jan. Because you can say that you have tested it with real pilots, but how can it be realistic if it doesn't have important things the real plane has (I'm looking at you JAR, I respect you, but that FBW is not accurate). So no matter how long the wait, you the 737 will always have room on my computer.
  11. You guys really need to understand that they are working really hard to get this product out and have been for 5 years. As Cameron has said, many of them have quit their jobs, they wouldn't be making a risk like that if they didn't believe that the product they were putting out is really something. Just wait, I'm sure you guys won't be disappointed, from what I've seen, it's going to be an amazing product. And I know, no matter what I say there will still be people who are impatient, but I'm sure that a lot of you see how this will be a great product.
  12. Yeah, because think of it this way: We wait 5 years for a product, and it's finally released and there are a ton of bugs, and it's really disappointing. Think about that, would you rather have something sooner and be disappointed (I'm not saying this will be a disappointment), or would you rather wait to have something beautiful that you love.
  13. Are you guys at all worried that you will crash the X-Aviation site when you release it? Judging by the excitement of this forum and the X-Plane community, a LOT of people are going to run to the store as soon as it's released.
