This is a conversion from v9.60 to v11.41 of the Ilyushin IL-14 made by Andrey Kozyaruk (Felis, felisleopard@gmail.com) and Alexaner Babichev (Asso). This plane has a fully functional 3D cockpit, interiors, static elements, working doors and complex avionics. It comes with 7 additional liveries and the paintkit. The original plane has been released as freeware to the public domain. Here follows the text of the original license file that comes with the plane where there is no restriction to update the plane to the latest release of X-Plane: This pack contains model IL14P for X-Plane9.30 simulator This model is freeware and can be distribute by any way with notice auothor's name Comonents in directories /plugins/ и /Custom Avionics/ are free and ditributes under the GPL license and can be used in every way you want, in case of all autority and licks are reserved. 2. This time I will talk about the project status, and how we are moving forward. I will not give specific ETA! They only thing I can say is that this my daily and only focus. Goran’s job is almost finished, and the project is on my shoulders! So, ETA will be as soon as possible will be ready! The “general status” of the aircraft at this point is that is operational, you can do flight from cold and dark, VFR and IFR flights with the use of the 2 VORs and 2 ADFs, use the simplified autopilot we talked last time. Some of the systems are done, most of them are in progress. There are no systems with zero progress. With a late addition in the team of guy with a huge experience in DC3s, we are reviewing some of the systems, and fine tune the behavior. To give you an example, we fine adjusted the operation of the engine cowling flaps. DC3 cowls controls have 5 positions, CLOSE-OFF-TRAIL-OFF-OPEN. Close and Open positions are self-explanatory. In the OFF positions, you lock the flaps in the position there are at the moment you go to OFF position, so you can fine tune it. In the TRAIL position, the flaps are spring -loaded to open. As the aircraft accelerates, the cowls, due to the aerodynamic drag starting closing, until become fully closed at a certain speed. And the opposite, as you decelerate. Currently I’m close to finish the major elements of the electric system, with a fully custom behavior of all components, down to all lights dimming, depending of the current feeding the Main DC bus. We have added things like the batteries loosing charge as the days are passing and you don’t fly the aircraft! So make sure, when the time will come, to take her out for a ride to recharge the batteries! Fuel is free! A few for the initial version, though will be a dedicated development update for those as well. Beyond the core simulation, will be include a maintenance module, that you have to execute maintenance of the aircraft after specific flight hours, and a failure module. Those 2 modules in the initial release, will be “simplified”. In subsequent updates, more elaborate versions will be added, including “wear-and-tear”, depending of how you operate the aircraft. Also from the initial release, each aircraft will be unique! Every aircraft will have her own flight and engines hours, within a certain range, representing how many hours such an aircraft would have today. We are trying to make the aircraft “alive”, to need you care, but on the other hand, not shift the focus from flying! Another thing that we have is the option to choose to have a GPS and a more modern autopilot, so you can fly any flight plan you like, if you want to do so, but without removing the vintage feel of the aircraft! That’s all for now guys! Take care and be safe!

  3. @Frank So I was flying the other day and noticed that I wasn't seeing those flickers when flying through the clouds. I then messed around a bit and found that the best way to reproduce them is to set the cloud base at about 5000 feet (extending slightly above that) in the weather settings, select scattered clouds, set the time of day to 2:40pm, then make sure you're flying in to the clouds from the side that the sun hits them at (they should look pretty bright white on the side that you're flying in to them from). If the effect is still happening you should see it then. Note that sometimes I see these little wisps of cloud, almost like a single cloud layer floating by itself and when I fly through those the effect is most noticeable, however I also see it when flying through actual cloud formations as well. Just something specific for you to try to see if you can spot any.

  4. That looks like you may have been in the shadow of a cloud. The way SkyMaxx draws it's cloud shadows is different than the way that XPlane does it and the shadows seem to also significantly affect the inside of the plane as well as far as I have noticed. They were looking in to fixing that but not sure if they were able to make any progress with it. They can only work with whatever Laminar opens up in the API for them to use. Maybe try putting the shadow slider to 0 and see if that issue remains?

  5. Do you know also the Yak-40? You can download it here: https://github.com/parshukov/Yak-40-Felis-for-X-Plane-11

  6. Hey Johnson! I am just using X-Plane's default camera system. That means, Arrow keys move me up, down, left and right, and dot and comma move me forwards and backwards. Holding down "Shift" makes the movement become quicker! I don't believe X-Camera nor TrackIR can somehow reproduce this behavior that you described. I would, however, suggest that you try running X-Plane and the PT-19 with just the bare minimums (Which is the Gizmo Beta plugin, that is installed alongside the aircraft), and then we can see if this keeps happening. The reason for this is because i could see from the Log file that you have quite some plugins installed, and this has been the only report of such a phenomenom. If you have followed the video i posted down to the letter and still faces these issues, then running with no plugins is the next step. I think we're almost getting there! Dan.

  7. I made you a video and, hopefully, this will get sorted Let me know if, even when following all of this, this behavior still persists. Respectfully, Dan.
